A lot of companies rent something they call a shower trailer. Very few can set a unit on a site with no water or power and keep a hundred people in hot showers all week long. Three things separate our trailers from the rest.
Hot water that does not run out
A cheap trailer heats two or three showers and then gives up. Our water heaters are sized for the actual crowd, so the fortieth person steps into the same hot water the first person got. On a fire line or at a shelter, where everyone hits the showers inside the same hour, that is what matters most.
Runs with no water or power
About half the Oregon ground we cover has no hookups at all, from a burn scar high in the Cascades to a field edge out in wine country. Each trailer holds its own fresh water, banks the grey and black water in sealed tanks, and runs off a built-in generator, independent of the site.
