This Privacy Policy explains how Mavirus Group LLC, doing business as The Lavatory (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Lavatory AI Reporting application (the “Application”), our private integration with QuickBooks Online.
1. Who We Are
The Application is operated by Mavirus Group LLC (dba The Lavatory), a business based in California, United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What the Application Accesses
When the Application is connected to a QuickBooks Online company file, it accesses accounting data through Intuit’s official QuickBooks Online API under the accounting scope (com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting). This may include company information, invoices, payments, customers, vendors, items, and related financial records. The Application accesses this data on a read-only basis. It does not create, modify, or delete any of your QuickBooks records, and it does not process payments or connect to the Intuit Payments API.
3. How We Use the Data
We use the data solely for The Lavatory’s own internal business purposes, including financial reporting, revenue and margin analysis, reconciliation, and operational decision-making. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3a. Automated Analysis and Artificial Intelligence
To produce reports and insights, the Application may process the accounting data using automated tools and artificial-intelligence models to analyze numbers and trends. We do not use your QuickBooks data to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not share your data with third parties for the purpose of training their models. The data is used only to generate reporting for The Lavatory.
4. How We Share the Data
We do not share your QuickBooks data with third parties except: (a) with service providers who host or process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to operate the Application; or (b) where required by law or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell your data to anyone.
5. How We Store and Protect the Data
Data accessed through the Application is stored on secured, access-controlled infrastructure. Access is limited to authorized personnel who need it for the purposes described above. We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the data. Access tokens are encrypted and stored securely, and are never shared publicly. We do not store bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or eCheck information on our servers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain QuickBooks-derived data only as long as needed for the reporting purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. You may disconnect the Application from QuickBooks Online at any time (in QuickBooks Online: Settings → Apps → Connected apps → Disconnect), which immediately revokes the Application’s access. Upon disconnection, we will stop accessing new data and will delete stored QuickBooks-derived data upon request to [email protected].
7. Intuit / QuickBooks Online
The Application uses Intuit’s QuickBooks Online API and adheres to Intuit’s applicable requirements for connected applications. Your relationship with Intuit, and your use of QuickBooks Online, is also governed by Intuit’s own privacy policy and terms. Disconnecting the Application from within QuickBooks Online revokes its authorization.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Application is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
