The clear first choice for accessible portable restroom rentals in West Jordan
A public site in West Jordan, whether a school field, a parish lot or a city park, needs its accessible room working before the first visitor walks up. The Lavatory is the first choice for that job because each ADA restroom trailer arrives leveled, stocked and tested, with the ramp ready to deploy. After years of placing accessible units at Utah events, the first thing we check is the path from the gate to the ramp. Planners working north of West Jordan along the Redwood Road corridor can ask us about the same ADA trailers there. Each trailer carries its own ramp, so all we need from you is a clear way in from the gate and a firm spot to park. If you are planning an event near the Jordan River parkway or a school field in West Jordan, call or send a quote request and we will pick the trailer that fits your site.
What sets our accessible restroom trailers apart on a West Jordan job
Sized to your head count
Tell us the head count and the hours, and we match the ADA trailer to the crowd, from the single station combo up to the seven room ADA + 6. You get a plan that fits the day.
Real rooms, not boxes
Flushing china toilets, handwashing sinks and proper lighting make these feel like a small restroom, not a plastic stall. Guests who have been burned by portable toilets notice the difference in the first minute.
Site check from photos
Send three photos and we flag slope, soft ground and tight gates before a truck rolls. The check is free and it saves the awkward call on the morning of your event.
Stocked and wiped down by our team
Soap, paper goods and cleaning come with the rental, on a schedule built from your head count and days. Your site contact never has to restock a thing.
One person from quote to pickup
You deal with one team for the plan, the setup and the pickup. That keeps public sites and venue contracts simple when several people need the same answers.
Two Jordans, two permit offices
West Jordan shares a border with its neighbor along the river, but the two are separate cities. We check which office you are working with before we plan the unit, so an address mix-up never slows your event.

“We used a large trailer for a multi-weekend community event off Bangerter Highway. The staff answered fast and kept the rooms stocked all weekend. The accessible room got more use than I expected.”

“I did not want guests trooping through the house, and this was the answer. My grandfather rolled right up the ramp. Nobody asked where the bathrooms were twice.”

“We had grandparents, toddlers and strollers all afternoon. The restroom stayed spotless the whole time, and the team checked in without being asked.”
Big names rely on the accessible trailers parked beside West Jordan weddings
Repeat business is the best proof we have, because the accessible room we send has grab bars, room to turn a wheelchair and the same finish as the rest of the order. The same trailers trusted by Caesars Palace, Google, Mercedes and the Golden State Warriors can sit beside a Gardner Village reception or a Western Stampede weekend in West Jordan.

Around West Jordan we regularly work with parish and community event hosts, clinic and care facility managers, as well as school and city parks teams.
Repeat bookings in West Jordan come from steady upkeep, like a working farm that welcomes visitors every harvest season. Few guests praise an accessible restroom, but a missing or neglected one is what they talk about afterward. We send every unit clean and stocked, and we make sure guests can reach it easily on each day of the job.
Accessible trailers for West Jordan, from the single-station combo to the seven-room restroom
In West Jordan the ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer is the usual pick for park pavilions and church lots, while the ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer handles the larger receptions and public days.

The accessible lineup starts with the Single Station ADA Shower and Restroom Combo, which gives a guest a full accessible bathroom, shower included, in one trailer. It ends with the seven-room ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer. Every unit has a self-contained ramp that deploys in minutes, so a guest in a wheelchair rolls straight in. The gel coated fiberglass inside wipes clean, which helps when a school field event sends a steady line of visitors through.
A school carnival of about 200 guests or a build crew of about 30 can share the ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer, which has a women’s room, a men’s room and an ADA unisex room. It carries 210 gallons of fresh water and 300 gallons of waste capacity, enough for a full event day on raw ground. Two 120 volt, 20 amp circuits run the lights and fixtures.
Guests at a West Jordan wedding or festival of around 300 people get seven rooms in the ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, including one unisex ADA room. Between the fresh water tank and the waste tank, this trailer carries 200 gallons in and 475 gallons out, so a guest count helps us judge how long it will last. For multi-day stays such as relief teams and long builds, the ADA + 2 Private Shower Trailer adds two standard private shower rooms and one ADA shower room for sites of about 50 users.
Standard on every ADA trailer we send
Self-contained ramp
The ramp comes attached with grab bars, so guests cross a wedding lawn or a gravel church lot to the door without a separate ramp to rent or build.
Roomy accessible stall
A big wedding in West Jordan needs a unisex room with grab bars, a porcelain toilet and space to turn a wheelchair.
Accessible shower option
On big West Jordan builds, the shower model lets a wheelchair roll in, with a built in seat, a hand held wand and separate hot and cold controls.
Heat and air conditioning
Winter mornings stay comfortable because each trailer has heat, and July afternoons stay bearable because each one has air conditioning.
Runs with or without hookups
Raw pads on the west side may lack hookups, so the trailer carries its own fresh and waste tanks and we stage a generator.
Serviced and stocked
Our crew stocks it before it reaches the site, then returns to pump waste, restock and clean for as long as a months long build lasts.
Choosing the right ADA trailers for your head count
A city park event can draw hundreds while a build crew may be a few dozen. Give us the count and any shower need, and we pick the accessible unit that fits, from one restroom up to a trailer sized for about 300 guests.

Where accessible bathroom trailer rentals earn their place in West Jordan
West Jordan packs historic wedding grounds, a 99-acre city park, church campuses and a growing medical corridor into one city. These are the three jobs we plan for most, with the local ground each one sits on.
Church festivals and neighborhood events with temporary ADA restroom trailers

Ward parties, parish festivals and neighborhood gatherings in West Jordan draw every age at once, from toddlers to grandparents who use walkers and wheelchairs. Meetinghouse restrooms handle a normal Sunday, but a festival day with several hundred guests turns them into a long line. A rented accessible trailer parked beside the church lot gives festival guests a shorter line and a room that is easy to reach.
Veterans Memorial Park is the city’s most common community stage. Its large pavilion is 70 by 32 feet, holds up to 200 people and has bathrooms on site, which is enough for a small party. A Western Stampede weekend or a big family reunion fills the 99 acres well past what a pavilion bathroom handles comfortably.
Funerals and memorial gatherings are the quiet side of this work. Families arrive in one wave, many of them older, and nobody wants a long walk to a cramped stall. We place the trailer close to the entrance on firm ground with a clear path to the ramp, and we keep the restock visit away from the service itself.
We deliver, set up and service the trailer so your volunteers can focus on the guests. Whether the date is a parish picnic or a stake event, tell us the head count and the ground, and we will size the ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer or the ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer to match.
We also handle ADA restroom trailer rentals in Salt Lake City.
More West Jordan jobs for portable accessible restroom rentals
Western Stampede weekends at the arena
The PRCA rodeo fills the West Jordan Arena from July 2 to 4, with a carnival at Veterans Memorial Park and a parade on Redwood Road on the Fourth. Crowds that size need accessible rooms placed with the other restrooms, not tucked at the far end of the grounds.
Farmers market Wednesdays
The Good4Life market runs Wednesday evenings from July 22 through October 7, 5 to 9 p.m., at Veterans Memorial Park. Vendor rows spread out, so an accessible trailer near the entrance serves shoppers and sellers alike.
Data center and temple build sites
Long builds like the Novva campus and the West Jordan Utah Temple site bring office trailers, visitors and inspectors who need an accessible room on raw pads. A self-contained ADA trailer works before permanent utilities arrive.
Water line breaks and outages
When a break shuts a business or care site, an accessible trailer bridges the gap until the plumber finishes. It arrives with its own tanks, so the repair does not have to come first.
Campus and school gatherings
Jordan School District fields and the Salt Lake Community College Jordan Campus host graduation parties, fairs and open houses. Public sites like these ask for a named contact and a placement plan before anything arrives.
Families at a church campus and crews on a data center build both rely on one accessible room that is always stocked. Because we stage units across the region, businesses in West Jordan add one to an order with little effort.
Four steps to booking ADA-compliant trailers
You can book an accessible trailer with us in four steps, and the same team answers your questions and stays on the job until pickup.
Call or ask for a quote
Send us your dates, your head count and the West Jordan address, and we will recommend the right unit and tell you how many you need.
We pick the size and the spot
On a tight lot or a pad behind a construction fence, we check for water and power, arrange a generator and water supply if either is missing, and mark the exact spot so one trip finishes delivery.
We deliver and set it up
At your set time we level it, connect utilities and stock it before the dawn crew arrives.
We keep it clean, then haul it away
It stays on site for the whole build, you can reach our service line any time, and we come back to haul it away at the end.
Setup, service and pickup for accessible trailers

Delivery is only the first part of the job. On a farm lot or a dirt pad near a new building, our crew sets it down, levels it and connects water and power, or stages a generator with water. The trailer is set up and working when the first person needs it, and we pick it up when the job wraps.
For a long build or a busy summer weekend in West Jordan, we schedule pump outs and restocking so the last day feels like the first.
What West Jordan and Salt Lake County ask of event organizers using restroom trailers
Any one of these puts a West Jordan event in the special event category: 200 or more attendees, added city services, an athletic tournament, inflatables or a fee. The application needs insurance documents, fees and vendor licenses, and a walkthrough with the city happens two to four weeks before the date. Written approval comes before anything arrives. Questions go to the West Jordan Events Division.
Before a big outdoor gathering in West Jordan, check the county rules: Salt Lake County wants a separate mass gathering permit once the crowd tops 500 and the event goes past two hours, and the filing is due a full 30 days early. The state sanitation rule for these gatherings figures toilets from headcount and event hours, and it requires at least 5 percent of them to be accessible, which is the part our ADA trailer helps you cover. When you set up the event, keep the toilets away from where food is served and close enough that guests at the stands or activity areas can walk to them without a long trip.
Construction sites follow federal OSHA sanitation rules, and public buildings follow the 2010 ADA Standards. We read the conditions on your permit and match the trailer to them. Planners working across the county line can compare Salt Lake City, Utah VIP ADA shower trailer rentals with the West Jordan plan.

What we cover on access and placement in West Jordan
- Every ADA trailer comes with an attached ramp, railings, grab bars and a spacious unisex stall for school ball field crowds.
- On soft farm fields we advise a level, firm path that guests can reach to the ramp.
- New build pads often lack hookups, so we arrange water and power first and stage a generator if needed.
- Our trailers are licensed and insured for the road, as site managers expect.
Where an accessible trailer may sit can depend on West Jordan city staff, county health officials or a private campus with its own policy. Whoever controls the site, whether that is city staff, county health or a campus office, may set its own limits, so we map out the spot with you once we know the address. Ask the venue about any permit before the trailer arrives.
Where accessible trailers fit in the budget

A big gathering at a West Jordan park or church campus already pays for staffing, tents, food and a tight schedule. Against that total the accessible room costs little, yet it decides whether older guests and people using wheelchairs can stay until the end.
A park tournament or festival in West Jordan usually rents several items at once. Put the accessible trailer on the same order and it arrives in one drop, shares one service schedule and has one contact for questions.
Accessible restroom trailers for Gardner Village receptions and backyard weddings

Gardner Village is the marquee wedding site in the city. The Gathering Place seats up to 250 guests at round tables and hosts a flowing reception of up to 700, while Mill Plaza holds about 300 outdoors. A site built around a historic mill, with brick paths and covered bridges, is lovely in photos and harder on guests who use a wheelchair or a cane.
A reception that size can strain the fixed restrooms, and a luxury restroom trailer adds capacity without touching the historic plumbing. Pair an accessible room with the larger count and every guest has a short, level route. We lay the plan out with you from a few photos of the grounds.
Backyard weddings in Copper Hills, Welby and Jordan Hills bring another puzzle. Driveways slope, lawns are soft after the sprinklers run, and the house bathroom is up a flight of stairs. A trailer on the flattest firm patch, with the ramp landing on a paved or packed path, solves all three at once.
Guests of every age notice how clean the room feels and how easily a wide door lets them in. Our reviewers mention the rugs and the decor as often as the ramp. Send us the guest list and the venue, and we match the finish and the count to your day.
ADA bathroom trailer rentals that keep clinics and care sites open through a remodel

The 9000 South corridor around Jordan Valley Medical Center, a 171-bed hospital at 3580 West 9000 South, holds a steady mix of clinics, offices and care sites. When a remodel closes a public restroom, patients and visitors who use wheelchairs feel it first, because the next accessible room may be a long walk away.
An ADA trailer parked by the entrance lets the building stay open. The ramp lines up with the door path, so a patient can reach the room without crossing rough ground. Facilities managers usually want one thing settled first, which is that the access route stays clear for people and for deliveries.
Because the trailer brings its own water and holds its own waste, it keeps working even when the plumbing in the building is down or shut off. Tell us the door and the walking path, and the unit lands where staff can reach it without crossing a work zone.
Long remodels need steady service. Supplies get restocked and the room gets wiped down on a set schedule, and the waste tank is emptied long before it becomes anyone’s problem. Offices near the Salt Lake Community College Jordan Campus, at 3491 West 9000 South, follow the same plan during planned closures.

Three job types and the ADA restroom trailers setup for each
Family member planning a memorial gathering in West Jordan
When a family hosts a memorial gathering, we start with the entrance and the walking route. We place the ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer close to the door on firm ground, and we schedule restock visits away from the service itself.
Parish member planning a ward festival at a West Jordan meetinghouse
When several hundred guests are expected on a church lot, we ask for the head count, the parking layout and where grandparents will sit. We set the trailer near the main door, keep the ramp landing clear and walk your volunteer through the room before the first guest arrives.
Bride’s mother planning a Gardner Village reception with older guests
When a reception includes guests who use wheelchairs and canes, we plan the shortest firm route from the Gathering Place to the trailer. We send photos of the planned spot ahead of time so the venue and the planner can sign off together.
West Jordan districts we cover with ADA restroom trailer rentals
The Lavatory serves the southwest valley as part of statewide coverage, and the Utah hub lists VIP portable accessible restroom trailer rentals across UT for planners who work in more than one county. Our accessible trailers show up at the spots below across West Jordan.
Our ADA trailers reach sites across Utah from West Jordan, including Copper Hills, Welby, Jordan Hills, Jordan Oaks, Oquirrh, Edenbrooke, Cobble Creek, Highlands, Bingham Creek, Jordan Landing, Gardner Village, Dixie Valley, Sugar Factory Road, Highland Park, Teton Estates, South Jordan, Riverton, Herriman, Taylorsville, Kearns, Midvale, Copperton, Magna.
Full specifications are on the West Jordan ADA + 2 restroom trailer spec page and the other accessible unit pages, or call and we will spec it to your West Jordan guest and crew count. Sizes, station counts and floor plans for every unit are listed in our mobile private ADA restroom trailer rental serving UT. The same fleet reaches events and jobsites well beyond this city through our portable luxury ADA restroom trailer rental service in Utah. Towns farther out get the same trailers and dispatch; our West Jordan private accessible restroom trailer rental service lists them.
Copper Hills
Foothill streets in Copper Hills climb toward the Oquirrh Mountains, and driveways tilt in two directions. Backyard weddings and church parties here need a trailer on the flattest firm patch.
Welby
Welby mixes newer homes with larger lots, so private events spread across yards and side lots. Lawns can sink after watering, so we plan mats under the trailer.
Jordan Landing
Jordan Landing is a large retail and office center along Bangerter Highway. Store openings, tent sales and tenant remodels need an accessible room in a lot that stays busy.
Gardner Village area
Around the historic mill, brick paths and bridges set the limits on where a unit can sit. We plan the route and the ramp landing around the grounds, never over them.
Bingham Creek and New Bingham Highway
The southwest edge of the city runs toward Copperton and the Bingham Canyon mining district. Mining traffic and access roads shape how and where a unit gets delivered.
the blocks near City Hall off Redwood Road
Redwood Road carries City Hall, the arena grounds and the parade route on the Fourth of July. Event days here move fast, so placement near the main entrance matters.
Other Salt Lake County towns where we deliver accessible trailers
South Jordan
South Jordan shares a river and a name with West Jordan but keeps its own permit office. The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple, dedicated in 2009, draws large church crowds there.
Riverton
Riverton is home to Petersen Family Farm, a third-generation produce farm with open yards and long harvest days. Weddings and farm gatherings there often sit on gravel and grass.
Herriman
Herriman sits at the southern end of the next Mountain View Corridor upgrade, which UDOT plans to start in 2027. The new homes around it host backyard parties and school events all year.
Taylorsville
Taylorsville ties into West Jordan through Bangerter Highway and the ChamberWest business group. Offices and shops there plan remodels and open houses that need a temporary accessible room.
Midvale
Midvale lies just across the Jordan River from West Jordan’s east edge. Its older commercial buildings often need an accessible room during renovations.
Copperton and Magna
Copperton sits along New Bingham Highway at the foot of Bingham Canyon. Magna is the nearby west-side town with its own parades and community events.

What Utah customers say about our accessible portable restrooms

“I worried about renting a trailer that looked rough. This one looked great and the team showed up polite and on schedule. People at the picnic asked who we hired.”

“Guests expected a plastic box and found a real room with lighting and a flushing toilet. A neighbor in a wheelchair thanked me twice. It made the whole evening easier.”

“We brought one to a stake youth outing near the river. The room was spacious and easy to enter, and nothing about it smelled. The kids were impressed.”

“The decor was a nice surprise. The room felt bigger than I expected, and my aunt with her walker had no trouble getting in.”

“Setup and pickup went smoothly for our fall festival. The team left the trailer tidy and ready for guests, and we got plenty of thank-yous.”

“Our restrooms were closed for a remodel, and they planned the placement around my staff entrance. They are easy people to work with and the product is first rate.”
Your questions about ADA-compliant trailers, answered
Can I set up an accessible restroom trailer at my West Jordan home or venue without clearing it with my HOA or the venue first?
Check first, because a trailer is a temporary structure that sits under someone else’s terms. HOAs usually care about where it sits and how long, and venues such as Gardner Village write restroom and vendor terms into the contract. Send us the HOA letter or the venue’s vendor sheet and we will place the unit to match it. If your event is large enough to need city approval, the organizer files that application and we supply the unit details.
Is the trailer set up and leveled before my guests arrive, and who handles pickup afterward?
Yes. The Lavatory delivers the unit, levels it, deploys the ramp, stocks the room and walks your contact through it. You choose the window that suits the venue. Pickup is scheduled the same way, and if the venue has quiet hours for vendors, we plan around them.
Where do I start when I need to count how many accessible rooms my event needs?
Start with the head count and the hours, then ask what the venue already has. For a four hour event, plan on one portable restroom for every 50 to 75 guests, and keep the accessible rooms together along a clear path. At a church festival or school event of about 200 guests, the ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer is the one to start with. Once a guest list climbs toward 300, the ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer is the right fit, and anything bigger gets two or more trailers. Send us the date and guest list and we work through the math with you.
What do schools, city sites and agency jobs usually ask for when they rent an accessible restroom trailer?
Mostly paperwork and placement. Jordan School District sites, city parks and campus lots usually want a site plan and a named contact, and they expect the trailer to leave fire lanes and walkways open. Public sites also care that the ramp lands on a firm path. Tell us who signs off on your site and we send what that person needs.
When does the trailer get restocked and cleaned during a multi-day or multi-week job?
On a set schedule built from your head count and days. On every visit our crew restocks soap and paper, wipes the room, checks the water and empties waste when the tank needs it. A busy week at a data center or temple build gets more visits than a quiet clinic. We write the schedule down before delivery so your site contact knows when the truck is coming.
How do I add an accessible room to a larger restroom trailer that is already on my site?
Set the ADA unit next to the main trailer so guests walk one short path to both. Match the ground height and keep the ramp landing clear. Many planners rent a larger multi-stall restroom for capacity and add the ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer for the accessible room. We can plan the pair together from a photo of the pad.
Do I need a water hookup for the trailer, or can it work from its own tanks?
The units carry their own fresh water and waste tanks, so a raw pad or a lawn works. The ADA + 2 holds 210 gallons of fresh water and 300 gallons of waste. A hookup helps on long jobs, and power comes from two 120 volt, 20 amp circuits on site. Tell us what the site has and we choose the setup.
Will the trailer sit level on my lawn or gravel pad, and how wide does the path to the ramp need to be?
A lawn after the sprinklers run can sink, so we look for firm ground and bring mats when the ground is soft. Compacted gravel works well. The path to the ramp needs room for a wheelchair to pass with no curbs, hoses or cords across it. Send three photos and we mark the spot for you.
Can a trailer stay on site through a West Jordan winter?
Yes, with planning. Winter nights in West Jordan often fall below freezing because January averages about 25 degrees on the valley floor, and the Copper Hills foothills feel a little colder than that. We plan insulated skirting and tank heat for long stays. Tell us the length of the stay when you call.
How is a rented ADA trailer different from the portable toilets that come with a venue?
A trailer is a full room with a flushing china toilet, a sink, lighting and a ramp, while a single portable toilet is a small plastic stall. Guests who use a wheelchair or a walker need that extra space to turn around. Many venues keep portable toilets for capacity and add a trailer for comfort and access.
How soon must restroom units leave after a big public event?
Utah’s mass gathering rule asks for each unit to be serviced and removed within 48 hours after the event ends, unless the local health officer allows more time. We schedule pickup and the final service visit with that deadline in mind. Weather or a late finish can move the date, and we adjust with you.
Planning guides for ADA trailer rentals in West Jordan
Read the guides below for hosts, planners and site managers on sizing, placement and timing, including where to park a trailer at a crowded build site.
A planning checklist for a West Jordan event that needs an accessible restroom trailer
Adding an accessible trailer goes smoothly when the steps happen in the right order. Most delays on West Jordan events come from a missing approval or a late head count, not from the trailer itself. This checklist follows the order that works at Utah events, from the first call to the last pickup.
Step one is the venue. Gardner Village, a church hall, a school field and a private yard each hand you a different set of terms. Read the vendor section of the contract for restroom language, ask who owns the grounds, and ask where vehicles can drive. Those three answers decide where a trailer can sit before you pick a size.
Step two is the approval path. Events on city property or past certain sizes go through the West Jordan Events Division, and larger public gatherings also reach the Salt Lake County Health Department. Read the permit conditions for the toilet count and the accessible share, then match the trailer to them. Start the application early, because the walkthrough needs a date on the calendar.
Step three is the head count and the hours. Count adults, children and guests who use a mobility aid, and count how many hours the event really runs. A four-hour reception and a ten-hour festival need very different plans. Send both numbers and a guess at the busiest hour, and we size the trailer or trailers from there.
Step four is the site. Send a few photos of the spot you have in mind and the path from parking to it, and add the nearest water and power if you can. Photos tell us about slope, soft ground, low branches and gate widths before a truck rolls. Planning from photos is a free part of the quote.
Step five is the day itself. Name one person on site who can meet the delivery, confirm the spot and sign off on setup. Tell that person where the sprinkler shutoff is, since a soaked lawn is the most common surprise. Ask the service team when restock visits will happen so no one is startled by a truck during a toast.
Step six is the wrap-up. Confirm pickup the same way you confirmed delivery, and walk the area once the trailer leaves to check the ground. Lawns recover better when a trailer sits on boards or mats, which we can plan for. The permit steps and county contacts are listed on the Salt Lake County Health Department special events page, and a ten-minute email with these six answers saves a lot of calls on the morning of the event.
Placing an ADA trailer in West Jordan: slopes, soft ground, gates and winter nights
The spot you pick for a trailer matters as much as the model you rent. For an ADA unit, look for ground that is firm and nearly level, with enough open space at the ramp landing for a wheelchair to turn and roll off safely. West Jordan has all the usual placement problems, and a few that come from the Oquirrh foothills and the open pads on the west side.
Slopes show up first in Copper Hills, Welby and Jordan Hills. Streets climb toward the mountains, and many driveways tilt both along their length and across their width. A trailer that is level front to back can still lean sideways, so we ask for a photo from the curb and a rough sense of the grade before we pick a spot.
Soft ground shows up on lawns and farm yards. West Jordan still has working farms inside city limits, and Drake Family Farms has been worked by one family since 1880. Heavy equipment sinks into wet turf quickly. Mats under the trailer jacks spread the load and protect the grass, and we bring them when the ground looks marginal.
Open pads west of Bangerter Highway add dust and wind, and secure sites add gates. Gated data center and construction campuses often ask for badges and escorts, and some set their own hours for deliveries. Send the site contact’s name and the gate rules ahead of time, so the truck is not waiting at a locked fence when the schedule is tight.
The ramp is where accessible planning succeeds or fails. Keep the landing free of curbs, hoses, cords and parked cars, and leave enough width for a wheelchair to approach straight on. A path that looks fine to a walking person can have a one-inch lip that stops a chair, so walk it once yourself before the trailer arrives.
Winter changes the plan. Cold weather needs its own plan on a long stay. Insulated skirting and tank heat keep lines from freezing on a long stay, and a cleared path to the ramp matters more with ice around. Foothill neighborhoods run a little colder than the valley floor.
Summer brings its own checks, mostly dust, wind and a hot parking lot. Park the trailer where guests do not have to cross open asphalt in the afternoon sun. When a spot is in doubt, send photos and we will tell you what we see. Choosing the right spot early is cheaper than moving a loaded trailer later.
Questions to ask a restroom trailer company in Utah before you sign
A restroom trailer quote can look simple and hide a lot. A few plain questions put to each company will show you which one is worth hiring. The answers tell you more than the headline number, and they make a comparison between two quotes honest.
Ask what the rental includes. Delivery, setup, restocking, cleaning, waste service and pickup should each be named on the quote, not folded into one line. Ask who stocks soap and paper goods, and how many service visits the quote covers. A trailer without service is a headache that arrives on day two.
Ask what changes the quote, because the cost drivers are what move it. Head count and the number of days move the quote most, and site conditions and demand for your dates move it too. Ask which of those you control and which you do not.
Ask about the accessible room itself. Is the ramp part of the trailer, and is it self-contained? Is the ADA room a real room or a corner of a larger one? A fair way to check is to ask for pictures of the exact trailer that will arrive at your site, not a stock photo. Matching the picture to the delivery is a fair thing to expect.
Ask about the site. A good company asks for photos of your site and tells you honestly if the spot will not work. If a company never asks about slope or soft ground, expect a conversation on the day about why the trailer will not sit level.
Ask about construction sites if that is your job. On a build site, the federal rule from OSHA says your workers need toilets, and the crew count sets the minimum, so a supplier who serves job sites can work out the number with your superintendent before the trailer arrives. A company that supplies sites regularly will know the table and plan the count with your superintendent.
Ask who picks up the phone when a problem comes up, and at what hours. A broken latch or a stuck drain is a small problem with the right contact and a big one without. Write the number on the schedule and give it to the person on site. A company that answers questions clearly before the sale tends to answer them clearly after.
A rented ADA trailer or a row of portable toilets: what changes for guests with limited mobility
Event planners often count toilets and move on, and the count leaves out how guests actually use them. Guests with limited mobility, parents with strollers and older relatives all judge a restroom by space and access. This article looks at a rented ADA trailer next to a row of portable toilets, from the guest’s side.
A single portable toilet is a small stall with a door that opens inward or sideways. A guest who uses a wheelchair cannot turn around in it, and a walker barely fits. Accessible portable units exist, but they are larger boxes with the same plastic walls, and many events rent only one.
A rented ADA trailer is a full room. The ramp deploys alongside the door, the room has space to turn a chair, and grab bars sit where a person reaches for them. Sinks have running water, the lights work and the floor is solid. For a guest who is already thinking about the walk across the grounds, that confidence matters.
The federal 2010 ADA Standards describe the size of an accessible toilet room. They call for a width of at least 60 inches from the side walls and 56 inches from the back wall, a door opening at least 32 inches wide and hardware that works without tight gripping. Our accessible units are built to meet those federal sizes.
The ground counts as much as the room. The standards call for a firm, stable, slip-resistant surface, which rules out loose sand and soft lawn without mats. At Gardner Village the brick paths help, and at a farm yard the plan includes boards or mats. Either way, test the path with a wheelchair or a stroller before the day.
Mixing the two often makes sense. A venue can keep portable toilets for capacity and park one accessible trailer in the same cluster, so nobody has to hunt for it. The trailer also gives everyone else a quiet, clean alternative, which tends to shorten the lines at the plastic units.
Sort out the numbers with a short call. Tell us the head count, the hours, the ground and how many guests you expect to use a mobility aid. We will tell you whether one accessible trailer covers the plan or whether a larger setup makes sense. You get a straight answer and a photo of the unit before you commit.
