Self-contained laundry

The Lavatory is the name behind mobile laundry trailer rentals in West Valley City

No hookup on the site? We stage a generator and schedule the pumping, so the trailer works the same on a bare pad as it does behind a plant. The 8-Station carries a 750 gallon waste tank and two 240 volt, 50 amp circuits, which tells your electrician exactly what to plan for. Our team covers West Valley City and the rest of Salt Lake County, and the same people back laundry trailer rentals across Utah. Call now for a plan built around your pad, or request a free quote and get a straight answer fast.

What changes when the laundry trailer comes with a plan

Someone looks at your pad first

Send a photo and the head count, and we check the approach, the turning room and the power before the truck is loaded. Small surprises get caught in the office.

Work clothes, not hotel linens

Industrial washers and dryers handle heavy loads of coveralls, towels and bedding. The folding table and basin sink are built for the same use.

One call covers the camp

Laundry, showers and restrooms can be planned together, so you deal with one team instead of three separate vendors.

Service follows the crew’s shifts

On a lot with heavy traffic from morning to night, the crew at The Lavatory plans each tank pumping and supply refill around the busiest stretch of the day. A drained tank on the wrong day costs a shift.

A trailer that leaves clean

Our drivers pick it up when the job ends, and the pad is left ready for the next crew.

The drain and pump plan is on paper first

Before the first load, your supervisor knows where the wash water goes and when the tank is emptied. Nobody on site has to guess.

Big brands that trust our trailers on long projects

Repeat business is the best proof we have, because our laundry trailers keep running for the whole length of a long job. For film and television production crews in West Valley City, we send the same trailers that Tesla, Google and Caesars Palace have booked from us.

Trucking and parcel companies in West Valley City rebook because daily reliability matters most to them. The machines have to work on day forty just as they did on day one, since clean clothes keep crews healthy and showing up. That standard applies to every West Valley City booking.

Inside the trailer

Laundry trailers sized between the combo unit and the 8-Station

Yards in West Valley City vary, so the 8-Station at 26 feet 4 inches with the tongue usually sets up beside an existing building or fence line.

Laundry trailer set up on a Salt Lake Valley site

The 8-Station Laundry Trailer holds 8 industrial washers and 8 dryers, so full wash and dry cycles happen on site. A deep basin sink handles pre-soaking, and the folding table and bright LED lights make it easy to sort loads after dark.

The 4-Station Shower, Restroom and Laundry Combo suits smaller camps. The combo trailer puts a toilet, sink, shower and outlet in each of 4 private bathrooms, so a crew of about 30 can wash up in turns while a stacked washer and dryer wait in a room of their own. Crews of about 30 use it as a complete wash-up stop, and it runs on 220 volt 50 amp power or two 110 volt 20 amp circuits.

Not sure which one fits? Send us the head count, the shift pattern and a photo of the pad, and ask for a quote for portable laundry trailer rentals in West Valley City. Once we see the head count and the pad photo, we can say which trailer matches the work and what the site must provide before anything is loaded.

What every 8-station laundry trailer comes with

Eight washers, eight dryers

Overnight parcel crews staying on board can wash their work clothes every day, because the trailer holds eight commercial washers and eight dryers.

Basin sink and folding table

A large basin sink soaks diesel grime out of work clothes, and a folding table comes along.

Heat and air conditioning

Heating and cooling both come from two HVAC units, which matters between July afternoons and January inversion nights.

LED lighting

Even LED lighting fills the room for crews coming off overnight shifts at the parcel hubs.

Large waste tank

We pump the 750 gallon waste tank on a schedule that fits builds lasting many months.

Clear power needs

Two 50A/240V circuits within 100 feet, or a generator we stage when the site has none.

Pick a size

Which of our on-site laundry units fits your job

Smaller teams at a parcel dock suit our combo, which adds a washer and dryer to private bathrooms, while big crews and camps get the dedicated 8 station laundry trailer.

Where the trailers work

Portable laundry trailers for the work around West Valley City

We bring laundry trailers to crews in every direction, with delivery, setup and pickup handled by one team. On the northwest side of the valley, we sort the work into three kinds of jobs and plan the trailer for each one.

Commercial laundry trailer rentals for refinery and pipeline outages

Laundry trailer staged outside West Valley City

The refinery corridor sits a short drive north of West Valley City, in Woods Cross and North Salt Lake. Outage seasons put hundreds of extra workers in oil-stained, flame-resistant coveralls on those fence lines. Sending that clothing home to family laundry is a poor answer, and a laundromat run eats into the shift.

A proposed expansion of the Pioneer Pipeline, which carries gasoline from Wyoming to North Salt Lake, is under review in Salt Lake City right now. Pipeline and plant work like that keeps coming in cycles. Many of those crews stage from yards on the west side, and mobile laundry trailer rentals for Salt Lake Valley job sites keep their gear washed on the same ground.

We build the plan around when each crew gets off shift. Dirty loads come in at shift change, the large basin sink handles pre-soaking, and the washer bank is sized so the last crew out is not waiting on the first. Ask your safety lead which clothing care steps the plant requires, and we will build the schedule around them.

Outage camps also need showers. The combo unit puts private bathrooms and a laundry room in one footprint, which saves yard space when the lot is tight.

More uses

Other jobs for mobile laundry units in the Salt Lake Valley

Wardrobe days on valley sets

Film and TV crews shooting overnight need costumes and linens washed between days. A trailer at base camp keeps wardrobe on schedule and away from the sound stage.

Warehouse and data center pads

Large buildings take months to finish. A trailer on the pad gives the whole trades crew a place to wash work clothes without a drive across the valley.

Mountain View Corridor utility work

Utility relocation crews follow a long corridor and move often. A trailer on its own axles moves with them to the next staging spot.

Winter overflow shelters

Cold January nights fill shelters beyond their usual beds. Extra blankets and clothing pile up fast and need a dedicated wash line.

Agency and field operations

State and federal teams working in the west desert and Tooele County stage from West Valley City. A trailer keeps responders in clean gear on long deployments.

Washing beside the work saves crews time, and with units staged across the region, a delivery to a West Valley City freight yard or building site is routine.

Why it pays

Where mobile laundry trailers fit in the budget

A construction crew working near the Oquirrh foothills pays wages, fuel and lodging, so every trip off site turns into paid hours lost.

With washers beside the work, crews return those hours and put on clean clothes each morning, which is a small piece of the budget on a warehouse build of that size.

Relief and shelters

Self-contained laundry trailer rentals for relief sites and evacuation shelters

Experts put the chance of a magnitude 6.0 or larger earthquake on the Wasatch Front at 57 percent over the next 50 years. Utah also practices for it, with more than 920,000 people registered for the 2026 Great Utah ShakeOut. A shelter that opens after a quake needs clean linens and clean clothes within days, not weeks.

A self-contained trailer helps because it does not depend on the building next door. Washers and dryers, a folding table and its own waste tank arrive together. A shelter manager can wash bedding for a gymnasium full of cots and still have clean towels ready for the next group.

Agencies can request a quote for a bid or a purchase order the same way anyone else does. Give us the site, the expected head count and the start date, and we answer with a plan.

After years of planning these setups, the first thing we ask is where the wash water will go and who will stay on shift to run the machines. Settle those two answers and the rest falls into place.

Our service

How we deliver and service portable laundry trailers

At a staging yard on the west side where crews start before dawn, one team handles delivery, leveling and setup of the trailer, hooks up water and power or stages a generator with a water supply, has the unit ready before anyone arrives, and picks it up when the work ends.

For bookings in West Valley City that stretch through a long winter inversion season, we schedule servicing and restocking so the final day matches the first.

Builds and yards

Temporary laundry trailer rentals for construction and industrial camps

Work on the Mountain View Corridor, Bangerter Highway and SR-201 keeps utility and paving crews busy on the valley’s west side. Large commerce centers are going up along the I-80 corridor, and data center and warehouse construction runs on both sides of the Jordan River, including a campus in West Jordan.

Those sites share one problem. Mud, dust and sweat show up on work clothes by Tuesday, and a crew that sleeps in a hotel or a bunk camp still needs a way to wash. A laundry trailer on the laydown yard turns a weekend chore into a shift-length routine.

The 8-Station fits a camp of about 60 when the schedule is staggered, and the combo unit covers a smaller crew of about 30 who also need showers. Tell us the head count and how many days the crew is on site, and we match the trailer to it.

Place it close to the bunk area and away from the gate. Workers walk out of the showers and into clean clothes without crossing the yard.

Local rules

Health office, city and property questions for laundry trailers in West Valley City

Utah has a state sanitation rule for temporary labor communities, R392-501, which covers living quarters for construction, mining and similar crews and mentions laundry among its topics. It excludes recreational camping and RV parks. Talk to your local health department before you set up a camp, and check the current wording of the rule yourself. We do not claim that any trailer meets a code on your behalf.

West Valley City requires a business license for businesses with a place of business in the city, and the site has to be an approved use. Delivering a rental is different from operating a business on the lot, but the property owner still decides whether a trailer can sit there. Ask the city’s land use staff what applies to your parcel.

A laundry trailer belongs on commercial, industrial or construction ground, not a residential lot. Check with the owner, any homeowners association, and the fire marshal if people will sleep or gather nearby.

Power, water and siting in West Valley City, handled

  • Truck yards often lack hookups, so we arrange two 50A/240V circuits or stage a generator.
  • We look for flat ground with space around the trailer for steps and service trucks, which is hard to find in a crowded loading yard or on loose gravel.
  • Water is arranged first, and pumping is scheduled for a road or utility project lasting months.
  • Every unit is licensed and insured, which general contractors and logistics yards ask to see.

Some sites in West Valley City carry their own greywater and placement rules, whether it is a lot near the Maverik Center or a yard along the Jordan River. Tell us the exact site and we plan the trailer around those rules, and ask the property manager what permit it needs.

How booking works

Getting portable laundry trailers to your site

Every site already has plenty to juggle, so we keep booking to four steps, give you a straight answer and put one team in charge of the whole thing from start to finish.

1

Call or ask for a quote

Send us your dates, rough head count and where the trailer will sit, whether that is a warehouse build on the northwest side or a trucking yard near the Jordan River.

2

We pick the size and the spot

We check water and power, bring a generator and water supply if the pad has none, and fix the exact spot early so a tight yard needs only one trip.

3

We deliver and set it up

We time delivery to your start date, level and set the trailer, connect utilities and stock it, even when the job begins in the cold of a valley inversion.

4

We keep it clean, then haul it away

The trailer serves the crew from the first load to the last, our service line stays open the whole time, and when the project wraps we return and haul it off.

Job planning

What planning portable laundry trailers looks like

Turnaround coordinator, north valley refinery

When an outage starts and 80 workers need clean coveralls each day, we plan the 8-Station beside the break area. The washer bank is split into two shift waves, and the pump truck is booked for off-peak hours.

Wardrobe supervisor, overnight shoot

When a production moves to a new location every few days, we plan a trailer that sets up at base camp and leaves when the shoot wraps. Wardrobe gets one folding table and one steady wash schedule.

Shelter manager after an earthquake

When a gymnasium turns into a shelter, we plan laundry for bedding first, then clothing. The trailer sits on the paved lot, and a volunteer team of four can load and unload the machines through the day.

Parts of West Valley City where we place laundry units

Our team places laundry units across West Valley City and the Salt Lake Valley, from the Jordan River on the east to the Oquirrh foothills on the west. The routes in are I-80, I-215, SR-201, Bangerter Highway and the Mountain View Corridor.

Our laundry trailers reach sites across Utah from West Valley City, including Chesterfield, Redwood, Westshire, East Granger, West Granger, Hunter, Lakepark, Woodhaven, Oquirrh, West Hunter, Magna, Kearns, Taylorsville, South Salt Lake, Salt Lake City, West Jordan, South Jordan, Murray, Midvale, Riverton, Herriman, Bluffdale, Tooele, Draper.

Machine counts and power needs for each unit are on our West Valley City 8-Station laundry trailer spec page, or call and we will size it to your West Valley City crew. The full range of layouts sits one page over in our on-site washer-dryer laundry unit rental service throughout UT. Delivery beyond the city line runs through our mobile laundry trailer rental service across UT, sized to the guest or head count. Planning beyond the city line? Chesterfield and Redwood

The east side has light industry north of Parkway Boulevard and brick-ranch neighborhoods behind it. Contractors based here need compact setups that fit tight yards.

Granger and Hunter

These former farm communities form the center of the city. Trucking yards and shop buildings fill the older lots, so crews here want a trailer that tucks behind a building.

Lakepark and the Westlake business area

Office parks and distribution buildings fill the land north of 3100 South. Temporary crews on tenant improvements and roof work use laundry on short, repeat terms.

Woodhaven and Oquirrh

Newer planned neighborhoods stretch toward the Mountain View Corridor. Road, utility and landscape crews on the west edge have open ground for larger setups.

West Hunter and the amphitheater area

Concert season brings production and stagehand crews to the west side, and load-in work leaves uniforms and towels that need washing between show days.

Westshire and the Valley Fair area

Retail and arena traffic runs through here every week. Building maintenance and renovation crews need a washer and dryer on short notice.

Short-notice orders in West Valley City are common for us, and dispatch is open around the clock.

Nearby towns that rent portable laundry trailers

Magna

Magna sits on the west border and felt a magnitude 5.7 earthquake in March 2020. Mine, plant and warehouse work along its edge keeps a steady laundry load.

Kearns and Taylorsville

Both communities lie south of the city along Bangerter Highway. Building and utility contractors in the area stage trucks from yards on that corridor.

South Salt Lake

South Salt Lake sits across the Jordan River to the east, and its mix of warehouses and light industry creates short, repeat jobs.

West Jordan

West Jordan has a large data center campus under construction. Long builds there keep trades crews on site for months at a time, so the laundry need continues well past the first week.

Woods Cross and North Salt Lake

Both towns sit beside the refinery corridor north of the airport, where outage work brings large crews in coveralls.

Answers on renting on-site laundry units

Where do I check on permits and site rules before a laundry trailer is parked in West Valley City?

Start with the property owner, then ask whether a homeowners association covers the parcel. After that, call the city’s land use staff and your local health department. We send the spec sheet and a site diagram so each office sees the same facts.

What size is the waste tank, and how often does it get pumped?

Each unit, whether the 8-Station or the combo, stores up to 750 gallons of wastewater before it needs to be emptied. The pumping schedule depends on how many loads you wash, so we set it with you on the quote and adjust if the crew grows.

When should I add shower and restroom trailers beside the laundry trailer?

Add them once crews stay on site for more than a couple of nights. Put the laundry next to the showers so towels and clean clothes do not cross the yard. For crews of about 30, the combo covers all three in one footprint.

How do relief and shelter agencies order a laundry trailer?

Call or send the request online with the site address, expected head count and start date. We write quotes for agency bids and purchase orders, and we keep the paperwork simple for responders who have no time for it.

Do I need level ground, and how much room does the truck need?

Yes, a firm, flat pad is best. At 26 feet 4 inches with the tongue, the 8-Station needs a clear approach and room to turn, so check your gate and the path to the pad. A photo of the gate and the pad lets us confirm before the truck leaves.

Will your team set the trailer up and pick it up, or do I?

Our drivers place it, level it and walk your supervisor through the controls. When the job ends, our drivers haul the trailer away, and you do not need a crane, a forklift or a tow vehicle.

Can the trailer work through a January cold snap or a July heat wave?

Yes. Salt Lake City averages January lows near 25 F and July highs near 89 F, and both fall inside normal working conditions for the equipment. In freezing weather, drain exposed hoses at night, and tell us your dates so we can plan the hose and drain layout.

Is two 50 amp circuits enough, or should I rent a generator?

Before the 8-Station arrives, have an electrician confirm the panel has two open 240 volt, 50 amp breakers or add a pair of receptacles near the parking spot. If the panel cannot spare them, we stage a generator. The combo needs only one 220 volt 50 amp circuit or two 110 volt 20 amp circuits.

How do I decide between the combo unit and the 8-Station?

Count the people and look at how long they stay, since a crew of about 30 who also needs showers fits the combo. A larger camp, or one that already has showers, fits the 8-Station and its bank of washers and dryers.

Is a monthly term available for a long program?

Yes. Rentals run short or long, and the unit stays on site while head counts rise and fall. Tell us your schedule and we plan the service visits around it.

Does the trailer handle film wardrobe and linens?

It does. The folding table and basin sink suit costumes and linens, and the trailer sits at base camp for the length of the shoot. Ask us which loads to keep separate.

Planning guides for laundry trailers in West Valley City

Planning guides on size, placement and timing, including how a trailer fits beside a loading dock.

Counting loads: a laundry plan for a West Valley City work camp

Most camps pick a laundry trailer by head count alone and then wonder why the line at the machines never shrinks. The better method counts loads. Start with the number of people, multiply by the number of work outfits each person turns over in a week, and add towels and bedding if the crew sleeps on site.

Try an example. A crew of 40 on a pipeline job changes coveralls every two days and uses a towel daily. That adds up to well over 100 loads in a week once you count both. A second crew on nights raises the number again. The 8-Station washes eight loads at a time, so the question becomes how many waves your schedule needs.

Staggered shifts help a lot, because if one crew drops its bags at 6 a.m. and another at 6 p.m., the same washers serve both without a line. If everyone finishes at the same hour, plan for a wave of waiting and put the busiest group first in the order.

Some days double the load. Mud after a rain, a spill or a dusty week of grading can double what comes in. Plan about a quarter extra capacity for those days, as a rule of thumb from planning these jobs, not a measured figure for your site.

A smaller crew of about 30 that needs showers as well is a different case from a large camp. The combo unit holds a stacked washer and dryer plus four private bathrooms, so the laundry is a daily convenience, not a bulk operation. If your load count is higher, pair it with an 8-Station.

Assign one person to run the laundry each shift. A named lead keeps the folding table clear, loads rotating and the drain plan on track. On camps without a lead, machines sit full and dirty bags pile up by the door.

Send us your head count, shift pattern and the days on site, and we turn the math into a trailer choice and a service schedule. The count matters more than the guess, and a short phone call settles it.

A site checklist for placing a laundry trailer on a Salt Lake Valley pad

A good pad saves a day. Walk the site with a phone and take five photos: the gate, the approach, the pad, the nearest electrical panel and the closest spot where a pump truck can park. Those five pictures answer most of our questions.

Start with the ground. The pad should be firm and flat, with water draining away from the trailer. Valley soils can turn soft after rain, so gravel or compacted fill beats bare dirt. Check that the surface will take the weight of a loaded trailer and a pump truck.

Next is the approach. Before we deliver the 8-Station, check that the gate and the road behind it leave the driver room to pull in and back the trailer into place. Overhead lines and low branches matter as much as the width of the road.

Then comes power. Ask your electrician to look at the panel and confirm two spare 240 volt, 50 amp breakers, or tell us you need a generator. If you plan to dig for a temporary service, call Blue Stakes of Utah at 811 first so that buried lines are marked.

Think about people too. Put the trailer where workers walk past it on the way to the break area. Add a light at the door so a night crew can see the steps, and keep a trash bin close.

Mark where the pump truck will park and how it reaches the tank. A blocked access lane on pumping day stops the whole operation, but a simple line of cones on the approach solves that.

Utah publishes its administrative rules at rules.utah.gov, which is the place to confirm whether a sanitation rule applies to your camp. Finish by sending us the photos, and we confirm the layout before the truck leaves.

Laundromat runs or an on-site trailer: how to compare the work

A crew boss comparing a laundromat with an on-site trailer often looks at the wrong thing. The real comparison is hours: who drives, who waits, who folds and who loses a shift. Write those down for your own job before you call anyone.

Start with the drive. West Valley City has laundromats, but a crew of 40 cannot fill a few machines without a long wait. Add the trip from a remote site, and a weekly chore becomes a half-day outing for a driver and a pickup truck.

Then count the load size. Coveralls, flame-resistant jackets and heavy towels do not belong in a coin machine that is shared with the public. Many job sites also keep soiled clothing out of public spaces for good reasons of their own.

On-site laundry puts the machines where the crew already is. Workers drop a bag at shift change and pick it up clean, with no truck in between. The folding table sits next to the dryers, so there is no sorting in a parking lot.

Look at consistency too. A trailer runs the same hours as the job, while a laundromat closes, fills up on weekends and changes its rules. A supervisor who needs clean clothes by Monday morning can plan around the trailer.

Finally, ask what each option includes. Ask whether the price covers the drop off, the hookup, the visits to pump and restock, and the trip back to haul the trailer away. If a quote is silent on any of those, ask. Drivers, fuel, wage hours and wear on the pickup belong in the comparison too.

For a crew of a dozen on a two day job, the laundromat may well win. For a camp that stays weeks and washes daily, the trailer does. Tell us your numbers and we will say which side your job falls on.

When laundry demand peaks along the Wasatch Front

Laundry demand follows work, and work along the Wasatch Front follows the seasons. Knowing the calendar helps you plan the dates for a trailer, even when you cannot name the job yet.

Spring and fall bring plant maintenance outages in the refinery corridor north of West Valley City. Those turnarounds are scheduled months ahead around fuel demand, and they bring large temporary crews. Utility and highway work then fills the warm months, usually spring through fall.

Fire season comes next. Wildfire counts for the year reached 1,114 across Utah, with more than 559,000 acres burned, and the state sat at the top national preparedness level for over 25 days. Responders and support crews come back from those lines with smoke-soaked clothing that needs a wash.

Winter changes the picture again. Utah’s Division of Air Quality reports that a typical winter brings five to six multi-day inversion episodes, with smoke and particulates trapped in the valley. Crews work with windows closed and spend more of the day indoors, and shelters fill up beyond their usual beds.

Cold also stresses the equipment. Hoses and exposed water lines can freeze on a January night, so we plan the layout with drain points and short runs. A trailer set up for winter looks different from one set up for July.

Concert and event seasons add smaller spikes. West Hunter and the Maverik Center area draw touring production crews, and film shoots move through the valley year round. These jobs are brief, and a combo unit often suits them.

Share your dates early, even if the scope is rough. We plan around the season, the site and your schedule, and we can adjust as details firm up. You can read how Utah tracks winter inversions at deq.utah.gov.
