Why choose us

How The Lavatory handles ADA bathroom trailer rentals in Sacramento

Ask the other company whether the ramp comes with the trailer or gets bolted on later by someone else. Ask who services the room on day two, whether the grab bars are inside, and whether delivery and pickup are in the quote. Then lay the quotes side by side and compare what each one includes before you compare the numbers. Most gaps show up in those answers, not in the total. The Lavatory puts all of it in writing, from the ramp to the service visits, so a Sacramento planner can read our quote line by line. When you are ready, call now or request a quote, and send a photo of the spot. If you also need units in neighboring states, see our Nevada portable accessible restroom trailers for temporary rental use.

What you get when you rent an accessible trailer from us

The ramp travels with every unit

The ramp comes attached to the trailer, so a lawn or gravel lot needs no extra equipment from you. It deploys in minutes at the door.

Placement from your photos

Take a few photos at the venue showing the grass, the gate and the walk from where guests park. We pick the spot where the ramp foot lands on firm ground.

Site map help

City and county event applications ask for restroom locations. We give you the unit size and footprint so your map is right the first time.

Service on a set schedule

Multi-day jobs get restocking and cleaning visits that fit your hours. Tell us the schedule and we plan around it.

One call, one team

The person who quotes your rental stays on it through delivery and pickup. You do not repeat yourself to a new voice.

Delta roads and gates checked first

Vineyard and farm roads around Clarksburg and Courtland have narrow gates and low branches. We check the route before the trailer leaves, so the unit does not get stuck outside the venue.

Repeat business is the best proof we have, because the accessible room we send has grab bars, room to turn a wheelchair and the same finish as the rest of the order. Brands like Google, Caesars Palace and the Golden State Warriors rent from The Lavatory, and the same planning supports weddings and large public events in Sacramento.

Scheduled service

Around Sacramento we regularly work with a family hosting a graduation party in a Sacramento park, a county park event that needs an accessible restroom close to the main lawn and a vineyard wedding planner in the Delta.

Organizers of yearly Sacramento events, like a Parkway race series or a fall harvest fair, return because the upkeep stays steady. Nobody thinks about an accessible room until it is missing, so every unit and every booking in Sacramento arrives clean, stocked and easy to reach each day.

Inside the trailer

The ADA restroom and shower trailer lineup for Sacramento

Sacramento sites range from Delta vineyard lawns to Cal Expo parking lots, so the lineup runs from the Single-Station ADA Shower and Restroom Combo up to the seven-room ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer.

ADA trailer set up on a greater Sacramento Valley site

The ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer has a women’s room, a men’s room and a unisex ADA room, with a self-contained ramp. It suits events up to about 200 guests or job sites up to about 30 crew, and carries 210 gallons of fresh water and 300 gallons of waste capacity.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer has seven rooms: four men’s, two women’s and one unisex ADA room. It serves events and job sites up to about 300 guests, with 200 gallons fresh and 475 gallons waste. For stays of several days, the ADA + 2 Private Shower Trailer adds two standard shower rooms and one ADA shower room for about 50 users, with metered hot and cold water at 1.5 GPM.

The Single-Station ADA Shower and Restroom Combo packs an ADA toilet with grab bars, a roll-in shower with seat and wand, and an ADA sink into one trailer. Its ramp deploys in minutes. Every unit runs on two 120 V 20 A circuits and works self-contained or on hookups, so a site without a water line is not a problem.

Standard on every ADA room we send

Self-contained ramp

Each ADA unit shows up with its ramp and rails attached, so a Parkway lawn or a packed dirt lot works without anyone building a ramp.

Roomy accessible stall

At a crowded Golden 1 Center weekend or a county fair day, the unisex room has grab bars, a porcelain toilet and floor space to turn a wheelchair.

Accessible shower option

For levee repair crews and riverfront festival staff, the shower version has a roll in shower with a built in seat, a hand held wand and separate hot and cold controls.

Heat and air conditioning

Heat and air conditioning come in every trailer, which matters when Sacramento afternoons pass 100 degrees in summer and mornings turn cold and foggy in winter.

Runs with or without hookups

Onboard fresh and waste tanks, with a generator staged when the site has no power.

Serviced and stocked

We deliver the trailer stocked, then return to pump the waste tank, restock supplies and clean during a multi day fair or a long river project.

Sizes and layouts

How to choose between our accessible restroom trailers

Our four accessible options range from a single restroom up to a setup for a 300 guest event, so a school field and a state office project each get a different fit. Share your crowd or crew size and whether you need showers, and we work out the sizing.

The budget case

Where ADA trailers fit in the budget

ADA trailer set up on a greater Sacramento Valley site, wider view

A Capitol area event already carries costs for the permit, the crew and the schedule. The accessible room is a small share of that total, yet it decides whether every guest can stay the whole day instead of leaving early. A guest who cannot use the restroom simply goes home.

Sites in Sacramento that already rent fencing and a crew trailer can fold the accessible unit into that order. It arrives in one delivery, follows one service schedule and leaves you one contact to call for the whole job.

How booking works

How booking ADA trailers works

Getting a trailer to your site should be the easy part: four steps, a plain answer, and a single team responsible from the first call to pickup.

1

Give us the date and the place

Send us your dates, about how many guests are coming and the spot you have in mind, like a river parkway picnic area, and we choose the unit type and quantity.

2

We check the site with you

Many Sacramento parks bury sprinkler lines, so we mark a clear spot, bring a generator and water if none exists, and plan for a single delivery trip.

3

Delivery and setup

On game day or the morning a job starts, we level the trailer first, then connect utilities and stock the supplies.

4

Service and pickup

If the job spans the winter rains or a dry summer, it stays until you finish, our service line stays open, and we collect it afterward.

Schools and graduation parties

Temporary accessible restroom rentals for Sacramento schools, campuses and graduation parties

ADA trailer set up on a greater Sacramento Valley site, closer view

Graduation season in Sacramento is big. UC Davis ran five ceremonies at Golden 1 Center in June 2026, Sacramento State filled the arena in May for a class of more than 6,400 eligible graduates, and Sacramento City College held an outdoor 7:00 pm ceremony at Hughes Stadium on Freeport Boulevard. The arenas have their own restrooms. What families need is a place to gather afterward.

That is where graduation parties land: backyards in Land Park, picnic shelters, school grounds and church lots, often in triple-digit afternoon heat with grandparents and small children along. One accessible room with a ramp lets a relative who uses a wheelchair stay for the whole party instead of leaving early.

Schools also call us when their own restrooms close for a remodel, a repair or an outage. Students, staff and visitors still need accessible facilities, and facilities managers want one delivery and a service schedule that fits the school day. Plan delivery around drop-off lines and buses, and tell us where the fire lane and the gate widths are.

Athletic events fit too. Friday night football, track meets and weekend tournaments often have limited permanent restrooms for the crowd in the stands. Tell us your head count and how many guests need an accessible room, and we will match the model to it.

Service visits

Set, stocked and serviced: our ADA-compliant trailers

Delivery and service visit on a greater Sacramento Valley ADA trailer job

At a riverside park or a vineyard lawn, our crew brings the ADA trailer in, levels it on soft ground, and connects water and power or stages a generator with a water supply. It is stocked and ready before the first guest arrives, and we return after the event to take it away.

For a multi day Sacramento event or a long summer build, we schedule restocking and cleaning visits so the room looks the same on the last day as on the first.

Permits and access

What Sacramento events need for accessible restroom trailers

Our units meet federal ADA requirements. California has a second layer of rules, found in Chapter 11B of its Building Code, that applies on top of the federal law. Section 11B-213.2 covers single-user portable units set in a cluster, and calls for at least one accessible unit, or 5 percent of the units at each cluster, whichever is greater. The 2025 code took effect on January 1, 2026. Because the permit office or local access reviewer makes the final call on the count, check the number with them early.

You handle the event permit, the site map, the property owner’s consent and a firm, reachable route to the unit. On our side, we choose the unit with you, deliver it, set it up with its ramp and keep the room stocked and serviced. The City of Sacramento asks for permit applications at least 60 days ahead and no more than a year out, and Sacramento County Regional Parks asks for 60 days on events over 41 participants. California State Parks has its own 2026 guidelines for Folsom Lake and other state land.

If your event reaches beyond the capital, we also cover accessible restroom trailer rentals in Los Angeles and ADA restroom trailer rentals in San Diego.

What we cover on access and placement in Sacramento

  • Ramp, grab bars, grab bars and a roomy unisex stall come attached, ready for a school field or park.
  • We help place the ramp on a level, firm path guests can reach, away from soft Delta soil.
  • We arrange water and power before delivery and stage a generator for park lawns and fields without hookups.
  • Every unit we send is licensed and insured for your venue.

A Capitol area event, a county park lawn or a school field in Sacramento may each follow its own permit office and its own rules for where an accessible restroom can sit. Send us the location and we plan around what that office requires, while you confirm the permit with the venue directly.

Weddings and receptions

Wheelchair-accessible restroom rentals for Sacramento weddings and receptions

ADA trailer set up near West Sacramento for schools and graduations

Most Sacramento weddings fall between May and October, and many sit on a rented field, a barn lawn or a vineyard. Scribner Bend Vineyards on the Sacramento River, the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg and Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom are good examples of the range. A guest list at those places can run past 200, and some of those guests will need a ramp.

Older barn and ranch restrooms are often across gravel, not on an accessible route, and slow for 150 guests in the window after the ceremony. A ramp-equipped trailer solves that. It is easier on a gown and a rented suit than a step-up unit, and a guest in a wheelchair can enter through the same door as everyone else.

The planning work here is guest flow. We like to set the trailer within an easy roll of the cocktail area, with lighting for evening and out of the line of the ceremony photos. Most ceremonies of about 200 fit the ADA + 2, and a reception near 300 moves up to the ADA + 6.

October can still run hot in Sacramento, so shade on the door side helps older guests wait comfortably, and a short, lit path from the dance floor helps guests find the trailer after dark.

Where we work

Accessible bathroom trailer rentals for every kind of Sacramento gathering

From a Parkway picnic to a Delta vineyard lawn to a school field, an accessible unit does more than check a box. It lets every guest get in, turn around and get out without help.

Accessible restroom trailer rentals for parks, trailheads and public venues

The American River Parkway runs from Discovery Park toward Folsom Lake, and its paved Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail draws walkers, runners and families all year. Grades and conditions change by section, so the entry points matter: Discovery Park, River Bend Park and Nimbus Flat each have paved access, while the stretch from Black Miners Bar to Hazel Avenue is about 0.38 mile of generally accessible trail.

Fixed park restrooms are often a long roll from the picnic area where a charity walk or reunion actually gathers. Park pages themselves say “generally accessible,” which is honest but not a guarantee on event day. After years of planning gatherings like these, we start by putting one accessible trailer at the main gathering point, on a hard surface, instead of leaving guests to find the trailhead.

The usual miss at a park is the ground, not the trailer. A ramp foot on turf right after a sprinkler cycle stops a wheelchair cold, so ask the park for its watering schedule when you book. If the event has two clusters, such as a stage and a vendor row, each cluster gets its own accessible room.

Large public days in Sacramento show the range: the Juneteenth Festival at William Land Park, the Pride march that starts at Southside Park, and festival blocks on Capitol Mall. City special event applications are due at least 60 days ahead and ask for restroom locations on the site map, and Sacramento County asks for the same on a regional parks permit. Send us the map and we will mark where the ramp lands.

More ways we help

More jobs our accessible portable restroom rentals cover in Sacramento

Cal Expo events

Trade shows, car shows and the California State Fair draw crowds to Cal Expo all year. The fair moves to September 17 through October 3 in 2027, so fall weeks at Cal Expo get busier.

Capitol Mall street festivals

Closed blocks need a delivery window and a plan for where the ramp lands. Send the closure map and we will mark the spot.

Railyards and station projects

Work on the Railyards stadium site, the Valley Station north entrance and the new light rail stop leaves public walkways open nearby. Agencies often need accessible facilities for those paths.

Flood and storm respite sites

When atmospheric rivers hit, the city opens respite centers on Auburn Boulevard and North Fifth Street. At those centers, accessible restroom space is often scarce, and a trailer with its own ramp helps fill the gap.

Shelter and Safe Camping sites

The River District Safe Camping site on Sequoia Pacific Boulevard serves about 100 people. Sites like it often have residents with mobility needs, and the shower units suit longer stays.

Folsom rodeo and lakefront weekends

The Folsom Pro Rodeo fills the Dan Russell Rodeo Arena for three nights each summer. Lake Natoma weddings and races bring more crowds east of the city.

Businesses in Sacramento add an ADA trailer to orders for Delta vineyard events and county job sites all the time, since our units are staged across the Valley and every guest and crew member shares the same room.

Planning examples

Three kinds of jobs, and how we plan ADA trailers for each

Parent planning a graduation party in a Land Park backyard

When a family needs a ramp-equipped restroom for a graduation party, the plan starts with the sprinkler schedule and the path from the street. We pick a spot on a hard surface and size the unit to the guest count.

Nonprofit coordinator planning a charity walk on the American River Parkway

When a charity walk starts along the Parkway, the plan puts one accessible unit at the gathering point on a paved area, not at the trailhead restroom. We confirm the permit map shows its exact location.

Wedding planner booking a Delta vineyard reception

When a vineyard wedding books near Clarksburg, the plan starts with the farm road and gate width. We look at the lawn photos, choose the size and set the unit near the cocktail area.

Downtown and Midtown

Street events and festival blocks around Capitol Mall need a delivery window and a closure plan. Space is tight, so unit footprint matters here.

Old Sacramento

Boardwalks and cobblestones shape where a ramp can land. Gold Rush Days over Labor Day and Waterfront Days bring large crowds to Front Street.

East Sacramento and Land Park

Family parties, park picnics and the Juneteenth Festival share quiet streets and mature trees. Overhead branches are a real fit question.

Natomas and North Sacramento

Newer subdivisions, school grounds and ball fields have wide lots but few accessible restrooms close to the action.

Oak Park and South Sacramento

Community fairs, school events and campus activity around Stockton Boulevard call for accessible rooms near the main crowd.

Arden-Arcade, Carmichael and Fair Oaks

Parkway entry points, church lots and backyard receptions here often involve several generations on one lawn.

Common questions

Common questions about accessible restroom trailers

Do ADA trailer rental quotes in Sacramento change with the date and the venue?

Yes. A quote moves with the size and number of units, how long you keep them, the delivery distance and site access, how often we service the rooms, and whether your site has water and power. Some dates draw more demand than others. Late spring through October is wedding season, and big weekends like Pride in June or the California International Marathon, held December 6, 2026, pull in crowds. Everything is written out in the quote, so each piece shows on its own line.

Will one standard outlet run an ADA restroom trailer at my park or vineyard?

Each unit is wired for two 120 V 20 A circuits, so make sure the venue panel can supply that before the date. One household outlet may not handle every load at the same time. Barns, ranches and vineyard lawns often have small service panels, so tell us what the venue has and we will say whether you need a second circuit or a generator.

Can the trailer be cleaned and restocked during a multi-day event or job?

Yes. We set scheduled service visits that fit your hours, and for a big festival weekend we plan service between the heavy waves of use. Tell us when the gates open and when the crowds peak, and we build the visits around that.

Is a long-term rental an option for a Sacramento construction or school remodel project?

It is. Long stays need a spot that clears the fence line, plus a longer contract with set service visits. Public-facing walkways and school sites near projects like the Railyards or a campus remodel are the best fit, since they stay open to students and visitors.

Where does the water come from if my park has no hookup?

From the tanks on board. The ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer and ADA + 2 Private Shower Trailer carry 210 gallons fresh and hold 300 gallons of waste. The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer carries 200 gallons fresh and holds 475 gallons of waste, and the Single-Station combo carries 105 fresh and 300 waste. We haul the waste away on service visits. A hookup is optional for longer stays.

What is the difference between an ADA restroom trailer and an ADA shower trailer?

Restroom trailers suit short events, from a backyard wedding to a school graduation party. Shower trailers fit multi-day stays such as shelters, camps, disaster relief and film sets. Which trailer fits depends on how many people will use it and for how many days, so we match the size to your headcount and your schedule.

When is Sacramento too hot or too cold to use a restroom trailer?

Never, but placement matters. Sacramento swings from 100 degree afternoons to nights near freezing. In August, shade the door side so guests do not wait in the sun. In December tule fog, keep the ramp dry and well lit. Sacramento heat waves often last three to five days, so plan the ramp surface and lighting around the weather that week.

How do I know the ramp, grab bars and turning room will work at my site?

Each ADA unit brings its own ramp, so the ground where the ramp meets the lawn or pavement needs to be firm and mostly flat. Handrails and grab bars are part of the room, and the interior is built for a wheelchair to turn. Send a photo of the spot and the walk from parking, and we will confirm the fit before delivery day.

Do I need to show the trailer on my Sacramento special event permit map?

Yes. Most Sacramento permit offices want every unit on the map, and Sacramento County Regional Parks asks for a site map on park events. Give us your venue and head count, and we send the size and footprint so the map is right.

How many accessible restrooms do I need for a Sacramento festival?

California’s building code calls for at least one accessible unit in a cluster, or 5 percent of the units, whichever is greater. If your festival has several clusters, each one needs its own accessible room. Confirm the final count with your permit reviewer, and we help size the trailers to your crowd.

Can you set up on a closed street downtown or in Old Sacramento?

Often, yes. It depends on the closure plan, the delivery window and the surface. Old Sacramento has boardwalks and cobblestones that affect where a ramp can land, so send us the closure map and we will confirm a spot, or arrange a site visit for tighter locations.

Resource library: planning guides for accessible restroom trailer rentals in Sacramento

Read our planning guides below on sizing, placement and timing, including whether a Sacramento park lawn with sprinklers can hold a trailer.

A planning checklist for accessible restrooms at a Sacramento event

A good accessible restroom plan starts months before the event. Most mistakes come from a missing detail, not a missing trailer. This checklist walks through the details we ask about when a Sacramento customer calls, in the order that saves the most time.

Before anything else, work out how many guests are coming and what share of them may need an accessible room. A family reunion with grandparents is different from a company picnic. Write both numbers down before you call anyone. Then add the hours: when gates open, when the crowd peaks and when the last guest leaves.

Next, draw the site map. Show the walking route from parking to the accessible unit on the map so a reviewer can see it. Mark the main gathering spot and the place for the trailer. Put the accessible unit at the main cluster, not behind the vendor row.

Check the route. A wheelchair needs a firm, slip-resistant path that is wide enough to turn and free of loose gravel, wet grass and steep curbs. Walk it yourself in the shoes and the pace a guest would use. If you find a soft spot, move the unit or lay a hard surface.

Check the water. Every accessible unit holds its own fresh and waste tanks, so a lot or lawn without a water line can still work. If the venue has a hookup, tell us where it is.

Check access for the truck. Gate widths, overhead wires and turn-around space decide which size fits, and park lawns often hide sprinkler heads where the ramp would land.

Plan the light. Evening events need light along the route and at the door. Ask the venue what is already there. Add the service plan: who restocks, when, and who the on-site contact is if something needs attention.

Finally, give the paperwork to the right people. You handle the permit, the property owner’s consent and the final access count with your reviewer. For federal guidance on accessible design, the ADA site at ada.gov is a good place to start.

Send the guest count, the date, the address and a few photos, and we will come back with a size, a spot and a written quote.

ADA restroom trailer or ADA portable toilet: what each gives a guest

Both options count as accessible, but they feel different to the guest who uses them. Here is what changes at a Sacramento event.

Start with the entry. A portable ADA toilet is a larger single-user cabin, usually reached over a small threshold or a short ramp laid on the ground. An ADA trailer carries a self-contained ramp that deploys at the door, so the approach is part of the product and not something added by the driver.

Next is room to turn. Inside, the room is shaped around a wheelchair, with turning space, grab bars on the wall and rails along the ramp. A portable cabin can be tight when a guest brings a helper or a larger chair.

The sink makes a real difference. Many portable toilets use a pump sink or a hand sanitizer bottle. A trailer room has a real ADA sink with running water, which counts for a guest with limited grip strength or someone using a wheelchair who cannot reach a high pump.

Lighting and flooring come next. A trailer has fixed lighting and a gel-coated fiberglass interior that wipes clean in a minute. A portable cabin may rely on daylight through a vent panel, which is a problem at an evening wedding or a fall graduation party.

Think about the other guests too. Ceremonies and parties in Sacramento often include grandparents, young children and guests in formal clothes. A trailer is a calmer experience for all of them, with real china toilets and a door that closes quietly.

That said, portable units have a place. A large festival with several clusters may use portable toilets for most of the crowd and bring one or two trailers to serve as the accessible rooms. A small event with a tight budget may choose the portable ADA cabin. We never knock a customer’s budget; we just want you to know what the guest on the other side of the door will experience. California’s Division of the State Architect publishes the state’s accessibility code and advisory manuals if you want the written rules.

If you are unsure, send us your head count, the guests who need access and a photo of the spot. We will tell you honestly which fit works.

A Sacramento calendar for booking accessible restroom trailers

Sacramento’s year runs in clear seasons, and each one brings a different kind of event. Knowing the calendar helps you pick a date, pick a unit and call at the right time.

Spring starts with graduation. Sacramento City College held its outdoor ceremony on May 21, 2026, so lawn parties and park gatherings start early. The parties that follow run through June in backyards, parks and school grounds. Weddings start booking up park lawns in May too.

Summer is hot. Afternoons commonly reach 100 degrees, and the all-time downtown high is 114 degrees from July 1925, according to the National Weather Service. June brings Pride on Capitol Mall and the Juneteenth Festival at William Land Park. The Folsom Pro Rodeo runs around July 4. For outdoor guests who tire quickly, the time of day matters as much as the date.

The California State Fair changes in 2027. After the 2026 fair ran July 17 through August 2, organizers cited heat in moving it to September 17 through October 3, 2027. Fall at Cal Expo gets a new mass-gathering season, and anyone planning around the fair should check the new dates now.

Fall is still wedding country. Old Sacramento hosts Gold Rush Days over Labor Day weekend, and the Golden Harvest Parade fills the Capitol west steps in late October. Early October can still run near 98 degrees. A fall wedding in the Delta may need shade, not a heater.

Winter brings rain, tule fog and cold nights. Most of the year’s rain falls between November and March, and atmospheric rivers have sent flood water through the region, including the New Year’s storm of 2023. The California International Marathon takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, from Folsom Dam to the State Capitol, with about 10,000 finishers. Cold, damp finish-line crowds make accessible rooms a real comfort.

Across all four seasons, the better move is to call early in the process. Permit paperwork takes 60 days, venues book a year out and a unit chosen in advance is a unit you do not have to rush.

Tell us your date, your venue and your guest count, and we will say which of these seasonal patterns touches your event.

Placing an accessible trailer on gravel, cobblestone, slopes and soft ground

A ramp works only as well as the surface under its foot. Most placement problems in the Sacramento region come from the surface, not the trailer. These are the surfaces we plan around most often.

Gravel is the first one. Loose stone grabs at small wheels and slows a manual chair to a crawl. A trailer can sit on gravel safely, but the ramp foot needs a firm landing. A strip of compacted base or plywood mats at the bottom gives wheels something to roll on.

Cobblestone and boardwalk come up in Old Sacramento. Front Street and the Embarcadero have historic surfaces that are bumpy and uneven. Wheelchair users can cross them, but the trailer door should sit on the smoothest nearby patch. A site visit helps.

Slopes are next. Sacramento is mostly flat, but levee trails, park berms and vineyard edges have grades. A trailer is set level, and the ramp slope depends on the height of the door above the ground. A steep approach to the ramp foot defeats the ramp, so we favor the flattest spot even if it is farther from the crowd.

Mud is a winter issue. After a few days of rain, a lawn that was firm in September can turn into a trap for a wheelchair. If the event falls between November and March, plan a dry route, and ask us about mats on the approach.

Think about the drive in as well. A trailer is heavy and needs room to turn. Soft ground that holds a car can sink under a loaded trailer. Before the truck arrives, measure the gate and look up for branches and down for buried lines.

Place the door to face the crowd without facing the main photo line. The accessible door should have a clear, lit path back to the parking lot or event area. Keep vendor carts and extension cords off the ramp and the path leading to it.

Photos make the difference. Send two or three pictures of the spot and the path to it, and we will tell you before delivery whether the surface works or needs a fix.
