Why The Lavatory

Why choose The Lavatory for portable laundry trailer rentals in Nevada

laundry trailer set up for a crew in Nevada

The Lavatory puts a full commercial laundry on your Nevada site in one delivery, so the people living on the job wash clothes right where they sleep and work. That ends the evening drive to town and keeps dirty gear out of trucks and motel rooms.

Out here the nearest coin laundry is often an hour away, too small for a crew or closed when the shift ends. A laundry trailer on the site fixes that on day one.

You get one company for the whole job. The Lavatory quotes it, sizes it, delivers it, levels it, hooks it up, services it and hauls it away when the work is done. Call for a free quote and a straight answer on which unit fits.

Commercial machines, not home washers

These machines are made for long days of heavy loads, red desert dust, mine mud, smoke and sweat included. A full camp washes in rounds instead of lining up for a pair of household machines.

Honest sizing at the quote

You get a plain answer on unit size, power, water and service visits before anything is booked. If a pad is too soft or a road too tight for a trailer, you hear it on the first call, not on delivery day.

One call, start to finish

The same team that answers your first call sets the unit, schedules the service and brings it home. Nobody hands your order in Nevada to a stranger with a truck, and you always know who to call when the head count changes.

Laundry is one of the first things people ask about before they sign on for a long remote job. A camp with clean machines on site is an easier place to live, and that helps contractors and camp managers keep the workers they hired through the last week of the project.

Machine counts and power needs for each unit are on our Nevada 8-Station laundry trailer spec page, or call and we will size it to your Nevada crew.

“These are amazing! We had the laundry and shower unit at a youth camp in northern Nevada and it was so clean, spacious and well built. No funky smell at all. Being able to wash muddy clothes on site saved our leaders so much hassle.”
Statewide coverage

Where our mobile laundry trailers work in Nevada, region by region

We serve all of Nevada. Send us the address, the head count and how long you need the unit, and we will match the trailer and the delivery plan to the spot.

The Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin and Boulder City. Event staging lots near Allegiant Stadium and the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, convention build crews and long Henderson construction jobs all put a laundry unit to work.

The I-15 and Mojave solar corridor

Solar build-outs and transmission crews south and east of Las Vegas, often miles from town. A self-contained unit at the man camp or substation yard washes dusty gear on site.

Reno, Sparks and the Carson corridor

Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Minden, plus the Storey County industrial area east of Sparks with its big plant construction. This is fire country too, with camps and shelters that run for days.

Lake Tahoe's Nevada shore

Incline Village, Stateline and the east shore, where resort, road and utility crews work on narrow mountain roads. We check grade and turning room before the truck leaves.

Northern Nevada mining country

Elko, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain and Ely along I-80 and US 50. Camps out past these towns sit far from any public laundry, which makes an on-site unit a practical fit.

Rural southern and central Nevada

Pahrump, Mesquite, Tonopah and Fallon. Long distances shape the plan, so we set water and service visits around the miles before the unit leaves the yard.

Need clean clothes on a site anywhere in Nevada? Call (702) 707-7547 or request a quote and we will match a unit to your address.

The fleet

Self-contained laundry trailer units for rent anywhere in Nevada

Two units cover nearly every laundry request we get from Nevada. The 8-Station is the main unit for big camps and relief sites. The 4-Station Combo fits a smaller group that needs baths, showers and laundry in one place.

The 8-Station Laundry Trailer, available for rent across Nevada

8-Station Laundry Trailer

Eight industrial washers and eight dryers with a full wash and dry cycle, a large basin sink, a folding table, LED lighting and two HVAC units. The box measures 8 feet 5 inches by 21 feet; overall the unit is 26 feet 4 inches long with the tongue and 12 feet 4 inches wide with stairs. It holds 750 gallons of waste and needs two 50 amp, 240 volt circuits within 100 feet, or a generator plan we set up for you.

4-Station Restroom, Shower and Laundry Combo

Four private baths, each with a toilet, sink, shower and outlet, plus a separate laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer. It suits a crew or long-stay group of up to about 30 people. The combo is 26 feet 4 inches long with the tongue, 12 feet 4 inches wide with stairs and 11 feet 4 inches tall with its AC. It carries 105 gallons of fresh water and 750 gallons of waste, with 1.5 GPM metered shower heads running hot and cold. One AC unit with a smart thermostat sets the temperature. Power is one 220 volt, 50 amp circuit or two 110 volt, 20 amp circuits within 100 feet.

Not sure which one fits? Tell us how many people are on site, how long they stay and what they are washing off, and we will size it honestly. If one unit looks tight for your numbers, we will say so and quote a second one before the line at the machines grows.

Sizing guide

How to size a temporary laundry setup for your Nevada site

laundry trailer sized for a Nevada job site

Every quote for a site in Nevada starts with a short list of numbers: people, days, how dirty the work is and what the site has for power and water. These are the working figures behind our advice.

Crews of 30 or fewer on one remote site

The 4-Station Combo gives a small crew four private baths with showers and a stacked washer and dryer. It suits a survey team, a drilling crew or a caretaker group living at one remote site for a few weeks.

Large camps and big workforces

For a large camp, figure loads per person per week, then add extra for gear that needs washing after every shift, like dusty coveralls or smoky fire clothes. We work out that number with you and add a second 8-Station when one cannot keep up.

Shift patterns, not just head count

A camp where everyone comes off shift at 6 p.m. needs more machine time than one with staggered crews, because the rush hits all at once. Many camps post a wash schedule by crew or by bunkhouse, so the machines stay busy all day instead of jammed for two hours each evening.

Generators on off-grid sites

Plenty of desert sites in Nevada have no grid power at all. For those we plan a generator sized to the unit, set it far enough from the door that noise and exhaust stay out of the laundry room, and work out with you who keeps it fueled.

Water and waste on a remote site

Where a water line and sewer hookup exist, we connect to them. Where they do not, we haul water in and pump waste on a set schedule, with waste leaving the site through licensed hauling. Your head count and the size of each unit's tank set how often the service truck comes.

Long hauls between service stops

On a camp hours from the nearest town, every service visit is a long drive. We build the schedule with some cushion in tank space instead of running the tanks close to full. Tell us when the head count is about to jump, so the next visit can come sooner.

Space, ground and access

Either unit needs a firm, fairly level spot with a clear path for the truck to back in, and room on the door side for the stairs and for people carrying full baskets. Soft sand and dry washes need a look before delivery.

Drying time and heavy fabrics

Denim, canvas coveralls and flame-resistant work clothes take longer to dry than shirts and socks. On a site where most loads are heavy, plan more dryer time per person, and clear the lint screens between loads so cycles stay short.

Dust and long shifts

Blowing dust and long desert days mean more loads per person than a mild coastal job. Expect more frequent service visits when a site runs hard in July and August.

Laundry plus showers and restrooms

People who need clean clothes nearly always need hot showers and clean restrooms too. We pair the laundry unit with shower and restroom trailers from the same fleet, on one site plan and one service schedule, so the service truck can reach every tank on a single visit.

Where they work

Top industries we serve with mobile laundry trailers in Nevada

Laundry trailers are for people who stay on a site for days, weeks or months. These are the uses we see most across Nevada, each with its own size, placement and service plan.

Solar, transmission and industrial construction

Solar build-outs along the I-15 and in the Mojave, transmission lines through the Great Basin and large plant projects east of Sparks keep workers living near the job for weeks. Transmission work moves in stages, with foundations, towers and wire pulling, and the people doing it spend the day in protective gear and dust. A portable laundry unit at the man camp or laydown yard saves hours of driving to town and keeps grime out of trucks and housing.

Mining camps

Camps out past Elko, Winnemucca, Battle Mountain and Tonopah are a long way from any big public laundry. Long-stay workers come off shift in mud, rock dust and sweat. An 8-Station at the camp gives them a place to wash every day instead of saving it all for a weekend trip to town.

Fire camps, evacuations and disaster recovery

Fire camps run long rotations, and crews come off the line with smoke in every layer. Evacuation shelters fill with families who left with a bag or less. The Reno and Carson corridor saw that on September 7, 2024, when the Davis Fire burned 5,824 acres in Washoe Valley and southwest Reno and moved about 20,000 people out of their homes, with Silver Saddle Ranch serving as a large-animal shelter. A commercial laundry unit at a camp or shelter keeps clothes clean through a multi-day operation, and our phone line takes emergency orders at any hour.

Events, races and production staging lots

Big multi-day events in Las Vegas put production, artist and stock-contractor teams on dirt and gravel staging lots for as long as ten days, and race teams and chase crews often camp on site too. The convention corridor adds build and teardown teams for weeks at a time. The laundry unit serves the staff camp, not the guests, so the people building, running and tearing down the show have clean clothes every day.

Plant shutdowns and turnarounds

Plant and utility shutdowns in the Las Vegas Valley, the west Henderson manufacturing district and the Reno-Sparks industrial parks bring large temporary workforces for a few intense weeks. Coveralls and flame-resistant clothing need frequent washing, and coin laundries in town cannot take on hundreds of extra workers. An 8-Station near the contractor parking handles that load on site.

Road, highway and utility work

Highway widening along I-15 and I-80, water line upgrades and power line rebuilds often keep crews in temporary housing for a full season. These jobs move down the road in stages, so the unit may need to follow the work. We plan each move with you and keep the same service schedule at every new yard.

Film and TV wardrobe at desert base camps

Desert locations around Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire area and the open country of central Nevada draw productions that spend days or weeks away from a studio. Wardrobe teams wash costumes between scenes, and dust gets into everything. Extra washers and dryers at base camp help on a long location run.

Shelters, cooling centers and outreach

Southern Nevada summers turn cooling centers and outreach programs into a seasonal operation, and shelters across the state run short of laundry capacity when demand climbs. A mobile laundry unit for a set season or contract gives people a place to wash clothes, which helps with health, job interviews and basic dignity.

Farms, ranches and harvest crews

Farm ground around Fallon and Lovelock and the Moapa Valley brings seasonal work during planting and harvest, and the housing for those workers is often far from town. A laundry unit at the housing site saves the grower a weekly van run and gives workers a place to wash after a long day in the field.

Building outages and remodels

When the laundry room at an apartment complex, a dorm or a group home goes out of service for a remodel or a water problem, residents still need clean clothes. A self-contained unit in the parking lot covers the gap until the room reopens.

Camps, retreats and long-stay groups

Youth camps, church retreats, research teams and seasonal work groups in rural Nevada often stay well past a few days. Group leaders like not having to pack a week of spare clothes for every person, and a combo unit adds showers and toilets where the camp has none.

Give us the address, head count and dates. Call (702) 707-7547 or request a quote, and we will size the unit to your crew.

Season plan

Nevada heat, wildfire and winter plan for portable laundry units

laundry trailer ready for the season in Nevada

Summer heat sets the pace in southern Nevada. Las Vegas, Henderson, Pahrump and the solar corridor regularly see afternoons well past 100 degrees from June into September, and people sweat through clothes faster than anywhere cooler.

Wildfire season matters most in the north. The Reno and Carson corridor, Washoe Valley, the Carson Range and the Tahoe basin all sit in fire country, and summer and fall bring the highest risk. Fire season planning, not prediction, is the right way to think about it. Agencies, shelters and contractors that line up laundry before the season starts have one less call to make when a camp goes up.

Late summer storms in southern Nevada can send flash floods down dry washes with little warning. We keep units out of washes, low spots and drainage paths when we pick the pad, and we look at where water runs during a storm before the trailer is set.

Winter brings snow and cold to Elko, Ely, Reno and the lake, and freezing nights even in the desert. We check ground and road conditions before delivery, set the unit level on firm ground and plan for a clear path to the door. If a storm, fire or flash flood affects your site, we will call you, secure or move the unit as needed and get it back to work once the roads are safe.

How it works

Booking a temporary laundry unit in Nevada, step by step

laundry trailer delivered and set up in Nevada

1. Start with a quick call

Share the site address, your first day on site, the number of people who will use the machines and the rental length.

2. We plan the fit and the setup

We match the unit to your head count and look at ground, slope, gate width, power and water. Remote desert and mountain sites get extra attention, and a few photos of the spot help us plan.

3. Drop-off, leveling and hookup

Our team delivers the unit, levels it, connects power, water and waste where available, starts the climate system and walks your site lead through the machines before leaving.

4. Scheduled service until pickup

On long rentals we pump waste and haul water on a set schedule and adjust it as the head count changes. When the job wraps, we pull the unit and leave the site clean.

Before delivery day

Permits, worker sanitation rules and placement for laundry units in Nevada

laundry trailer placed on a level pad in Nevada

A laundry unit on private property for a private job usually needs no permit of its own, though the property owner, the city or the county may set conditions. Rules differ between Clark County, Washoe County, Carson City and the rural counties, especially for a unit on public land, in a park or on a street. Temporary setups on public property in Las Vegas or the rest of Clark County generally go through a special events or right-of-way permit that asks for a site plan well ahead of the date. We work through placement, utilities and the site plan as part of the quote and can supply dimensions and power needs for any application you file.

Nevada runs its own workplace safety program through Nevada OSHA, part of the state Division of Industrial Relations. On construction sites, the federal sanitation rule 29 CFR 1926.51 covers washing facilities along with toilets and drinking water, and many contractors fold a laundry unit into the same sanitation plan on long jobs where workers live near the site.

Mine property is different. Sanitation and safety on an active mine fall under the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration rather than OSHA, and the mine's own safety team decides where a support trailer may park. We place the unit wherever that team's site plan puts it, usually at the camp or the office area outside the active pit.

Wash water never goes on the ground. Where the owner allows a sewer connection, we hook up to it. Your local health district has the final word on disposal, and we plan around its rules.

Most of Nevada is federal land, and most of that is managed by the BLM. Projects there follow the conditions in the project's own permits, and fire camps and incident sites follow the incident layout. Ask the project's environmental lead or the incident's logistics section where support trailers belong before delivery day, since many sites mark off areas for cultural or habitat reasons.

For the source material, see Nevada OSHA, the state workplace safety program, the federal construction sanitation rule 29 CFR 1926.51 and the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada for projects on public land.

Questions

Questions about renting a laundry trailer in Nevada

Can the laundry unit run at night on a round-the-clock site?

Yes. Camps with night shifts often run the dryers overnight so the morning crew comes back to clean clothes.

How many people does one 8-Station serve?

That depends on loads per person per week and how dirty the work is. Mine and solar sites usually run more loads than an office build. Give us the head count and length of stay, and we will tell you whether one unit covers it or two make more sense.

Can you support a fire camp or evacuation shelter?

Yes. Fire camps, evacuation centers and relief yards are a core use for these units. Call with the incident address and head count, and our dispatch team will tell you what can go out and when.

When should we lock in our dates?

As soon as your dates are set. Spring and fall event dates in Las Vegas and summer construction across the state go first, so an early call gives you the best shot at the unit you want.

What is the fastest you can get a unit to us?

Fast. The quickest path is a phone call with the address, head count and a photo of the spot, so dispatch can match a unit and send it right away.

Can a unit reach a mining camp or a site off a dirt road?

Often, yes. The truck needs a firm route and room to turn, and the unit needs firm, fairly level ground. Send photos or a pin of the road and the pad, and we will check it before we commit to the spot.

Can the unit go in a casino or hotel back lot in Las Vegas?

Yes, if the lot is close to level, the truck can back straight in and property security signs off on the spot. We look for overhead lines, low parking structure clearances and fire lanes before we pick it.

Who takes care of permits for the unit?

Site rules vary by county and by land manager. We work through placement, utilities and the site plan with you in the quote and provide the unit dimensions and power needs for any application.

Do you offer long-term laundry rentals?

Yes. Many contractors keep one through the whole project. We set a pumping and water schedule, change it as the workforce grows or shrinks and swap units if the job changes.

What happens if a machine stops working?

Call the same number you booked with. Our team troubleshoots by phone first, and if a fix on site will not do, we send someone out or swap the unit so the camp is not left without laundry.

Can a race team or event crew rent one for just a few days?

Yes. Short rentals for a race weekend or a multi-day show are common. A short job may need only one pump visit, and we time delivery and pickup around load-in and load-out so the unit is gone before the lot clears.

Can counties, cities and tribal governments order a unit?

Yes. Public agencies and tribal governments rent units for shelters, fire camps and long public works projects. We provide the unit specs and site details a bid packet or purchase request asks for.

What does the site need before delivery?

A clear path for the truck, the spot marked and someone on site who can show our team where power and water are. On a desert pad, knock down brush and move loose rock from the spot if you can.

Are the propane tanks on the tongue normal?

Yes. Our 8-Station units carry two upright propane tanks on the tongue. They are part of the trailer as built, so you will see them in photos and on your site.

Can a film or TV production rent a laundry unit in Nevada?

Yes. Wardrobe departments use our units at base camp on long location runs. We place the unit near the wardrobe trailer and set service visits around the call sheet so they do not land in the middle of a scene.

Can a shelter program book a unit?

Yes. Shelters, cooling centers and outreach programs rent units for a set season or a contract period. We plan placement, power and service around the site and the hours it is open.

Do you rent laundry units outside Nevada?

This page covers Nevada, where our laundry units work statewide. We serve all 50 states, with the West Coast as our core, and handle emergency, disaster and long-term rentals farther away. Call with the address and dates, or see our nationwide laundry trailer page.
