Compare before you sign

Why Las Vegas businesses choose The Lavatory for on-site laundry trailer rentals

Before you compare the price on two laundry quotes, ask each company how many washers and dryers run at once, what power the unit draws, how big the waste tank is and who services it. The Lavatory puts all four answers in writing, which on the 8-Station means 8 washers, 8 dryers, two 240 V 50 A circuits, a 750 gal tank and scheduled service visits from our own team. A lower number that buys one stacked pair can cost a large group days of clean clothes, so read the details before the total. Call now, or request a free quote and compare laundry trailer rentals across Nevada with us side by side.

What makes our laundry unit rentals easy to work with

Laundry, showers and restrooms on one plan

We plan the laundry unit with the shower, restroom and bunkhouse trailers you already need, so one quote and one service schedule cover the whole pad.

Sized by headcount and shifts

How many people work each shift and how long they stay tells us which unit fits, and from there we pick the combo, the 8-Station or a pair of units.

A real work room inside

The 8-Station has a basin sink for a first rinse on heavy soil, a folding table and LED lights, so people sort, fold and bag clothes inside the trailer instead of on a tailgate.

Quotes that list what is included

Every charge for bringing the trailer out, setting it up, servicing it and hauling it away is listed on the quote in everyday language, so you see what you are paying for before you sign.

Licensed and insured

General contractors and agencies get our paperwork with the quote, and badging and site safety orientation are part of the plan on secured sites.

Short and long rentals

Rent for a weekend shutdown or for a build that runs for months. Plan on 26 ft 4 in of pad space for the 8-Station with the tongue, ask us for the combo’s footprint with your quote, and measure the lot before you book.

Placed for wind, sand and washes

On open desert pads we set the doors away from the wind, keep the unit off soft sand and out of washes, and leave a clear lane for the service truck.

Who we work with

Brands that have booked our washer and dryer trailers

Our laundry trailers keep running for the whole length of a long job, and that is why big companies keep booking us. Tesla, Google and BMW rent site trailers from The Lavatory, and the same service plan backs laundry units on long builds across the Las Vegas valley.

Tesla

Site trailer support for large work campuses and long build schedules.

Multi-unit pads

Google

Trailers placed at corporate work sites with strict access and safety rules.

Badged site access

Target

Temporary facilities planned around store and distribution work.

Short and long term

BMW

Trailer rentals set up for work sites and company programs.

Stocked and serviced

Around Las Vegas we regularly work with: general contractors and industrial plants with long shifts; relief agencies, shelters and outreach programs; film and TV crews working out of base camps in the desert outside the valley, where wardrobe and linens pile up with no laundromat nearby.

Repeat bookings from builders and hospitality contractors in Las Vegas come down to one thing: the laundry has to work every day, not just on delivery day. Clean clothes keep people healthy and on shift, and every Las Vegas booking gets that standard.

Inside the trailer

Commercial laundry trailers sized for large camps and smaller sites

On a hot pad at Apex or a solar site near Pahrump, the 8-Station gives a large group enough machines to wash the whole shift’s clothes the same evening.

Laundry trailer staged outside Las Vegas

The 8-Station Laundry Trailer is the volume unit, with 8 industrial washers and 8 dryers that run full wash and dry cycles, which suits a Las Vegas shift coming off a dusty, sweaty day. A large basin sink handles mud and grease before the wash, while a folding table and LED lighting make night work easier. Out in the desert heat, the 8-Station measures 26 ft 4 in with the tongue and draws its power from two 240 V 50 A circuits.

The 4-Station Shower, Restroom and Laundry Combo is built for smaller groups, with 4 private bathrooms that each hold a toilet, sink, shower and outlet, plus a separate laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer. It handles crews of about 30, carries 105 gal of fresh water and a 750 gal waste tank, the same waste tank size as the 8-Station, and connects to 220 V 50 A or two 110 V 20 A. Both units arrive stocked and are serviced by our team for the length of the rental.

Between those two ends, we match the unit to your headcount, your shift pattern and the power at your pad. Every unit works on site hookups, or on our water and power plan when the site has neither, and projects that need several locations can book mobile laundry trailer rentals in the Western U.S. through the same team and the same quote.

What every 8-station laundry trailer comes with

Eight washers, eight dryers

Eight washers and eight dryers let a resort finishing crew on the Strip clean a full shift of work clothes before the next morning.

Basin sink and folding table

The large basin sink takes the first soak for hard desert dust and dried mud that sticks to boots, sleeves and cuffs.

Heat and air conditioning

Two HVAC units handle a valley where July afternoons pass 110 degrees and desert nights in January drop close to freezing.

LED lighting

Crews here often load laundry at first light, so the bright LED lights inside make it easy to see stains and pockets before the desert sun climbs.

Large waste tank

On a long build in the Las Vegas heat the wash water collects in a 750 gallon tank, and our service truck comes to pump it out before it fills.

Clear power needs

Two 50A/240V circuits within 100 ft of the trailer power it, and we stage a generator at open desert lots without hookups.

Our fleet

Matching on-site laundry units to the size of the job

The lineup runs from the combo, which adds a stacked washer and dryer to four private bathrooms, up to the 8-Station laundry trailer built for large camps in the desert.

Site rules, water and waste

Permits, water and waste for a laundry unit in the Las Vegas valley

The valley is split into several jurisdictions. The Strip sits in unincorporated Clark County, along with Paradise, Winchester and Enterprise, while the City of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City each run their own building offices, and desert solar sites on federal land follow the project’s BLM permit and safety plan. The first question on any site is which office it falls under, and we help you ask the right one before the unit arrives.

Nevada’s heat illness rule under NAC 618 has been in force since 2025, and it covers private employers and state and local government employers. Under NAC 618, a Nevada employer with 11 or more employees completes a written job hazard analysis, and if heat shows up as a risk, someone is named to watch conditions while the plan covers water, rest, cooling and training. The rule sits with the employer, and laundry is not one of its line items, but on a hot site we plan the laundry pad next to the cooling and shower area.

Each laundry unit carries a 750 gal waste tank and is serviced by our team, so you are not hiring a separate hauler. For water, ask the property owner or general contractor who signs off on a temporary hookup, and whether a hydrant or meter permit is needed, while health questions go to the Southern Nevada Health District. For larger projects across the state, our portable laundry trailer rentals in Nevada follow the same site checklist.

Laundry trailer set up near North Las Vegas for construction and industrial camps

The Las Vegas placement details we take care of

  • Power comes first: two 50A/240V circuits, or a generator we stage on bare desert ground.
  • We check the pad for loose fill or soft sand first and keep the unit off it, or have the ground firmed up, so it sits level with room for steps and service.
  • We arrange water and schedule pumping for a build that lasts months.
  • Every unit is licensed and insured, as resort owners often require.

Some sites and permits set their own greywater and placement rules, and those differ between Clark County, the City of Las Vegas and Henderson. Tell us the exact spot and we plan around the rules, but please confirm permit needs with the property too.

Construction and industrial camps

Washer and dryer trailers for construction and industrial camps

Laundry trailer set up on a Las Vegas valley site

Apex Industrial Park, about 20 miles northeast of downtown off I-15, has a liquid hydrogen plant at Miner’s Mesa, distribution centers and a 1.36 million sq ft warehouse project called Apex Ridge. These are big, flat sites with large crews and nothing nearby where anyone can wash a shirt.

Farther out, solar and battery projects are moving through federal permits. The Mosey Solar Project plans 500 MW about 10 miles southeast of Pahrump, and Purple Sage covers about 4,462 acres of federal land in Clark County, so work on sites like these puts hundreds of people on open desert with no shade.

On long builds, laundry is the camp item that gets forgotten until week two, when people start losing a day off to a coin laundry in town. We plan it into the first delivery with the bunkhouse, shower and restroom trailers, and for bigger camps we pair one or more 8-Stations with shower trailers on the same pad.

Skilled trades are hard to hire in the valley right now, and every trip off site is time lost for the project. Keeping clean clothes on the pad keeps people on the pad, while the combo covers smaller groups of about 30 that also need private showers.

Setup and service

Setup, service and pickup for mobile laundry trailers

Setup morning for a utility and line restoration site near Las Vegas

Tight resort pads near the Strip leave little room to work, so one team of ours handles the trailer from arrival to removal. We bring it in, level it, connect water and power or stage a generator with water, and finish before the first worker shows up, then collect it when the work ends.

Busy bookings in Las Vegas, like a data center build that stretches over many months, get scheduled servicing and restocking so the trailer stays in day one condition at the end.

Where the units work

Where portable laundry units work hardest around Las Vegas

Southern Nevada customers call on our laundry units for three kinds of work most often, and each one puts people far from a coin laundry for days or weeks while their clothes get dirty in a hurry.

Mobile laundry trailers for utility staging yards and line restoration

Laundry trailer set up near North Las Vegas for construction and industrial camps, wider view

NV Energy has cut power on purpose in the Angel Peak and Kyle Canyon zones on Mount Charleston during high fire danger, in October 2024 and again in June 2026. When a storm or a fire takes lines down in the Spring Mountains or out toward Pahrump, restoration crews work long shifts far from town and sleep near the staging yard.

Southern Nevada also takes in crews from other states when severe weather hits, and those visiting crews arrive with a few days of clothes and stay until the lines are back. The 2013 Carpenter 1 Fire burned about 14,458 acres on Mount Charleston and pushed more than 500 people from their homes, which shows how long a mountain fire job can last.

The first thing we plan at a staging yard is where wet, dusty gear goes when a crew comes off shift, because that pile grows fast. We set the 8-Station near the showers so clothes get washed and dried before people sleep, and for a yard of 30 people or fewer the combo puts bathrooms and laundry in one trailer.

Fire-resistant work clothes need care that follows the label, and a real washer beats a bucket every time. The basin sink inside handles a first rinse for heavy soil, and the folding table gives each worker a clean place to sort gear for the next shift.

More ways it works

More jobs for self-contained laundry trailer rentals in Southern Nevada

Wardrobe at desert film base camps

Productions shooting near Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon or the dry lakes need costumes and towels washed between shooting days, and the folding table and LED lighting give a wardrobe department a clean work room right at base camp.

Field exercises on the ranges north of Nellis

Red Flag exercises at Nellis bring about 3,000 people from many services, and the Nevada Test and Training Range covers about 2.9 million acres of land. Field units on the desert ranges near Indian Springs work where facilities are limited and the drive back to base is long.

Plant shutdowns and turnarounds

A shutdown can put two full shifts of contractors on a plant site around the clock. A washer and dryer on site means work clothes and glove liners get cleaned between shifts instead of piling up in trucks.

Mining camps along US-95

The Tonopah and Goldfield area runs mining and solar work along US-95, a long way from any coin laundry, so a laundry unit at camp saves people a full day off spent driving to town.

Hygiene days and outreach programs

Public-health and homeless-services programs in the valley set up laundry so people can wash clothes and towels in one visit, and the combo pairs showers with a washer and dryer for smaller outreach days.

Every use comes down to time saved on site. We stage units across the region, so delivering to a Las Vegas job site or a desert solar plant is routine for us.

How booking works

What to expect when you book laundry trailers

Work in the Las Vegas valley is demanding enough, so we keep booking simple with four steps, a straight answer and one team that stays with the whole job.

1

Tell us about the site

Send us your dates, head count and trailer location, such as a data center pad in the southwest valley, and we will recommend the unit type and number.

2

We pick the size and the spot

We check water and power, stage a generator and water if needed, and mark the spot early so a desert lot takes one trip.

3

We deliver and set it up

Our driver pulls in on the day you start, sets the trailer level, hooks up power and water, and loads it with supplies so laundry can begin on the first morning.

4

We keep it clean, then haul it away

The unit works the whole build, our service line stays open, and we haul the trailer away when the work wraps up.

Why it pays

Where washer and dryer trailers fit in the budget

Laundry trailer staged outside Las Vegas, wider view

Crews on a solar or battery plant outside the valley lose hours when they drive to town after a shift, and wages, fuel and lodging keep adding up with each trip.

A trailer beside the work gives those hours back and returns clean clothes every morning, a small share of the budget on a project as large as a resort tower or data center.

Shelters and disaster relief

Temporary laundry facility rentals for shelters and disaster relief

When Tropical Storm Hilary reached Southern Nevada in August 2023, the American Red Cross opened shelters in Pahrump and Searchlight. Kyle Canyon Road was closed in both directions with the power out, and the governor declared a state of emergency, which is the kind of event that puts families in a gym with only the clothes they had on.

A shelter that stays open for a week goes through its bedding supply fast. Without laundry on site, staff bag the sheets and truck them out, which loses items and costs a day, while a self-contained unit on the shelter lot turns bedding and clothes over in place.

We place the laundry pad on high, level ground and away from the sleeping area, so the machine noise stays off the cots. Responders use the same machines for their own gear, and agencies and nonprofits that run navigation centers and outreach programs in the valley use the same setup for daily clothes and towels.

For relief work, the combo is often a strong first unit because it puts four private bathrooms with showers next to the washer, which lets families clean up and change in the same visit. In our experience, the first request after a hot meal at a shelter is usually a shower and a clean shirt.

How a job runs

Three job types and the laundry trailers setup for each

Safety manager, plant shutdown in North Las Vegas

When a plant shutdown puts two shifts on site day and night, we place the 8-Station near the break area and plan service visits around shift change, so work clothes go in at the end of one shift and come out dry for the next.

Camp lead, solar build west of the valley

When a solar crew lives at a remote camp for months, we plan laundry into the first delivery with the bunkhouse and shower trailers. We confirm power at the pad first, then set the laundry unit between the showers and the bunks so dirty clothes never travel far.

Shelter manager, flash flood evacuation

When a flood sends families to a school gym, we start with the combo so people have bathrooms, showers and a washer in one trailer. The pad goes on high, level ground away from the cots, with a clear path for the service truck.

Valley towns where our mobile laundry units set up

Laundry trailer delivery range from Las Vegas to Henderson

The Lavatory stages trailers near the valley and serves every town in Clark County and Nye County, plus the US-95 corridor north to Tonopah and Goldfield. That covers job sites on the Strip, warehouse pads at Apex, camps near Pahrump and shelters as far south as Searchlight and Laughlin.

We cover Las Vegas laundry trailers across Nevada. Towns and job corridors we serve include Las Vegas, Paradise, Winchester, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Summerlin, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Centennial Hills, Southern Highlands, Sunrise Manor, Whitney, Boulder City, Apex, Moapa Valley, Overton, Mesquite, Laughlin, Primm, Jean, Indian Springs, Searchlight, Blue Diamond, Pahrump.

Machine counts and power needs for each unit are on our 8-Station laundry trailer page for Las Vegas bookings, or call and we will size it to your Las Vegas crew. Every configuration, with sizes and station counts side by side, is laid out in our portable washer-dryer laundry unit rentals available in NV. For a site in another part of the state, our mobile washer and dryer trailer rentals serving Nevada lists every region we deliver to. Towns farther out get the same trailers and dispatch; our portable washer-dryer laundry trailers in Las Vegas lists them.

Henderson

Henderson’s industrial areas and home building on the southeast side keep trades busy all year. Contractors there use the combo for small crews and the 8-Station when several trades share one site.

North Las Vegas

Warehouses and plants along I-15 in North Las Vegas bring steady shutdown and turnaround work, and laundry on site lets people wash work clothes and glove liners between shifts.

Summerlin

Summerlin’s newer neighborhoods on the west side still have active home building, and a combo works well for a builder who wants showers and a washer near the job trailer.

Boulder City

Boulder City sits on the Hoover Dam corridor along US-93, and the Boulder Solar III project was named in the governor’s 2025 list of advancing solar work. Remote crews out there are far from any coin laundry.

Pahrump

Pahrump, in Nye County on NV-160, is the closest town to several desert solar and battery sites, so camps out there need laundry, showers and restrooms planned together.

Mesquite

Mesquite sits on I-15 at the Arizona line, northeast of the valley. Road and utility crews working that stretch use a portable laundry unit at their yard instead of driving back to town after every shift.

Laundry trailer service beyond the city line in Clark County

The Strip and resort corridor

The Athletics’ 33,000-seat domed ballpark is going up on a Strip site of more than 26 acres, with hotel towers of 1,800 and 1,200 rooms in later phases. Resort and stadium work here puts large trade crews on tight sites.

Southwest valley and Enterprise

Clark County approved a new data center of about 9 acres in the southwest valley in June 2026, and data center builds keep electrical and mechanical crews on site for many months.

Mount Charleston and the Spring Mountains

Kyle Canyon Road, SR-157, is the main route up the mountain and was closed at SR-158 during Tropical Storm Hilary. Mountain jobs here deal with winter cold that the valley floor never sees.

Indian Springs and the US-95 corridor

Indian Springs sits northwest of the valley near the military ranges, with long stretches of US-95 and few services, so field units and road crews here plan everything they need on site.

Moapa Valley and Overton

The Moapa Southern Paiute Solar project, 250 MW on the Moapa River Indian Reservation, came online in 2017. Energy and farm work in Moapa Valley sits about an hour of highway from the city.

Straight answers

Before you book washer and dryer trailers

What changes the cost of renting a mobile laundry unit for a job in Las Vegas?

The unit you pick, how many you need and how long you keep them are the biggest factors. Whether your site has water and power or needs our plan also changes the quote, along with how often the unit is serviced and how hard the site is to reach with the 26 ft 4 in 8-Station or the smaller combo. Every quote lists delivery, setup, service visits and pickup, so the number you see covers the whole rental.

When does it make sense to put shower and restroom trailers next to the laundry unit?

Add them when people stay on site overnight, when the site is far from town, or when more than a handful of people share one pad, because clean clothes do little good if people can’t shower first. Each trailer carries its own waste tank, so adding showers and restrooms does not cut into the laundry unit’s 750 gal capacity.

How do 20 or 30 people share the washer and dryer in the combo unit?

Inside the combo, a stacked washer and dryer sit in their own laundry room, apart from the four private bathrooms where people clean up after a hot shift. Small groups stagger it, with one person starting a load while others shower and the next load going in when the dryer finishes. A posted sign-up sheet by shift works well, and if the group grows past about 30, adding an 8-Station is the simple fix.

Do the washers and dryers keep working through a Las Vegas heat wave or a winter cold snap on Mount Charleston?

Yes, the units are built for long summer shifts on the valley floor, where the all-time high hit 120 degrees on July 7, 2024. Parking the trailer beside a building or shade structure helps in the heat, as long as the door path stays clear. The Spring Mountains get hard freezes and snow, so call us before booking a winter site up there and we’ll plan water and placement with you.

Will a rental work for a build that runs for months, or only for a few weeks?

Both work. Builds like the Strip ballpark, aimed at the 2028 season, run for years, and long rentals come with a regular service plan, while short jobs of a few days are just as common. If your schedule slips, tell us early and we’ll extend the rental and adjust service visits.

Can you set up laundry at an evacuation shelter or an agency staging area in Clark County?

Yes. Shelters, staging yards and outreach sites are some of the most common places we set up a temporary laundry unit. To scope it fast, send headcount, expected days, the address, what power and water exist and who the site contact is, which is enough for us to build a quote you can drop into an agency bid.

Is there a limit to how many laundry units fit on one camp pad near Las Vegas?

Power is usually the first limit. Because each 8-Station takes two 240 V 50 A circuits, a pair of them means four circuits in all, and a site electrician should confirm that early. Pad space comes next, so allow 26 ft 4 in for each 8-Station with the tongue, get the combo’s footprint from us with the quote, and leave room for doors, steps and the service truck. With power and space planned, a camp can add units as it grows.

Where do I check permits and site rules before a laundry unit lands in the valley?

Start with whoever controls the site, which is usually the general contractor or the property owner. Then find the jurisdiction, since Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City each have their own offices. Solar sites on federal land follow the BLM permit and project rules, and we’ll walk through the list with you on the first call.

Do you deliver to Pahrump, Mesquite, Laughlin and other towns past the valley?

Yes. Pahrump, Mesquite, Laughlin, Searchlight, Moapa Valley, Primm and Indian Springs are all in our service area. Tell us the road in, any gates and the ground the trailer will sit on, since soft desert sand changes how we place it.

Does the 8-Station need a generator at a desert solar site with no power?

It needs power from somewhere, and many remote pads don’t have a hookup yet. If yours doesn’t, ask about our water and power plan when you call, and we’ll size it with the rest of your camp so the laundry unit and the showers share one setup instead of each bringing their own.

What should I have ready when I call for a quote?

Have the headcount per shift, start and end dates, the site address and whether power and water exist at the pad, and a photo of the spot helps too. If you sent an online request and never heard back, call instead, since a phone call gets a quote moving the same day.

Should I rent or buy a laundry trailer for a recurring need?

Renting suits most customers, since the trailer leaves at the end of the job and nobody has to store it. For work that comes back every season, such as yearly shutdowns or fire season staging, we set up a repeat rental so the same unit type is planned ahead.

Laundry trailer planning guides for Southern Nevada jobs

These guides cover sizing, placement and timing, including how many stations a large crew needs.

A delivery-day checklist for a laundry unit on a Las Vegas job site

Most problems with a portable laundry unit start in the first hour on site, not the first week. After years of placing units around the valley, we can usually tell from one phone call whether delivery will go smoothly, and the smooth jobs are the ones where someone has already answered a short list of questions.

Start with people and shifts, not just headcount. Sixty people on one day shift wash clothes in a single evening rush, while two shifts of 30 spread that load across the day. The answer decides whether you need the 8-Station, the combo or both, and it tells us when service visits should land so they never block the machines at peak use.

Next, find the power. Two 240 V 50 A circuits feed the 8-Station, and the combo uses 220 V 50 A or two 110 V 20 A, so have your site electrician confirm the panel and the length of the run before we set a date. A long run from a temporary panel can need heavier cable, and that is easier to solve on paper than on delivery day.

Then sort out the water. Your options are a building hookup, a hydrant with the right permit, or our water and power plan, so ask the property owner or general contractor who signs off on a temporary connection. On federal land or a raw pad at Apex, there may be nothing to hook up yet, which means planning our supply from the start.

Pick the pad with care. Leave room past the 26 ft 4 in length of the 8-Station for doors, steps and people carrying bags, and choose firm, level ground. Stay out of fire lanes, washes and low spots that collect water during a summer storm, and count shade from a building or structure as a bonus in July.

Walk the route in. The delivery truck needs a clean turn into the site, a gate wide enough to clear the trailer and no low lines overhead. On desert sites near Pahrump or in Moapa Valley, soft sand is the most common surprise, so tell us about it and send a photo if you can.

Plan service access so our truck can reach the waste connection on every visit. Material stacks, parked equipment and fences put up after delivery can box a unit in, so leave a lane open along one side and tell the people who manage laydown space that it stays open.

Finally, sort out site rules. Know which building office covers the site, whether badging or a safety orientation is needed for our drivers, and who the on-site contact is on delivery day. Large projects that also run outside Southern Nevada can book portable laundry trailer rentals for Western job sites in Las Vegas through the same team, with the same checklist.

Nevada OSHA

A laundry plan for a 60-person camp outside Las Vegas

A laundry unit with no plan turns into a line at the end of every shift. Sixty people working outside in Southern Nevada go through a lot of clothes, and without a routine the machines sit empty all day and then jam up at night, which a simple plan fixes.

Start with the math the 8-Station gives you, since it is the better fit for a 60-person camp and the combo handles about 30. With 8 washers and 8 dryers, a camp on one shift splits people into rounds, so the first group starts loads as soon as the shift ends and the rest take turns through the evening.

Use mesh bags with names on them, and have each person drop a bag in at their round and pull it out dry. Bags cut down on lost socks and arguments, and they make it easy for one camp attendant to move loads if someone forgets, while a clear bin for dirty bags and a shelf for clean ones keeps the floor open.

Plan daily and weekly items apart. Work shirts, socks, base layers and towels get washed every day in summer, while bedding turns over once a week, ideally on a slow day when fewer work clothes are going in. Cooling towels and sun sleeves go in every day, since sweat and dust build up fast.

Treat safety gear by the label. Fire-resistant clothing, hi-vis vests and PPE liners each have their own washing instructions, and some can’t go in a hot dryer, so post the camp’s rules on the inside of the door. The basin sink is the place for a first rinse when gear comes back with mud, grease or heavy dust.

Name one person to own the room, either a camp attendant or a rotating role on the crew. Their job is to clear lint screens, keep the folding table clear and report any machine that acts up, and a short daily walk-through catches small problems before a washer is down for a whole shift.

Match service visits to the slow hours. We plan our visits around your schedule so the washers aren’t tied up when people want them, so tell us your shift times when you book and again if they change mid-job.

The same habits carry over to a smaller site on the combo, where a sign-up sheet by shift and staggered rounds keep its stacked washer and dryer moving all evening.

How to lay out laundry, shower, restroom and bunkhouse trailers on one camp pad

A camp pad works best when people walk the shortest path between where they sleep, where they wash and where they eat. A bad layout sends workers across a dusty lot in the dark with a bag of clothes, while a good one feels like a building.

Put sleeping quarters at one end, away from the noise. Washers, dryers and service trucks make sound, and people coming off a night shift need to sleep during the day, so bunkhouse trailers go farthest from the road in, with a buffer between them and the laundry unit.

Set showers and laundry next to each other so people can shower, change and drop dirty clothes in one trip. On hot sites, this pair also sits close to the cooling area, so someone coming off a long shift can cool down, wash up and start a load without walking far in the sun.

Restrooms go where everyone can reach them, including people still working, which usually means near the edge of the work area as well as the camp. Larger camps split restrooms into two locations.

Run power from one plan. Each 8-Station needs two 240 V 50 A circuits, and showers and bunkhouses add their own loads, so laying out power from a single distribution point keeps cords off walkways and makes it easier for the site electrician to check the whole camp at once.

Leave a service lane, because every unit with a waste tank needs a truck to reach it. A single lane along the back of the trailers keeps service traffic away from walkways, as long as laydown materials and parked equipment stay out of that lane for the length of the job.

Light the paths. The units have LED lighting inside, but the ground between them is dark on a desert pad, and low path lights or light towers set to cover walkways make the camp safer for night shifts.

Think about wind and water. Desert pads get strong gusts that blow sand into doors, so we face doors away from the usual wind where we can and keep every trailer out of washes and low ground. For multi-site projects across the state, self-contained laundry trailer rentals for Nevada camps follow this same layout so crews know where everything is at each site.

Monsoon and winter planning for a desert laundry pad near Las Vegas

Most of the year, the weather in Southern Nevada is hot and dry and easy to plan around. Two seasons need more thought for a laundry pad, though: the summer monsoon and winter in the mountains.

In June 2026, the National Weather Service and the Clark County Regional Flood Control District warned residents as monsoon season began, and they noted that most flash flood deaths involve drivers entering flooded roads. Storms here can drop heavy rain on dry ground in a short time, and water moves fast through washes that look harmless the rest of the year.

The first rule for any trailer is to stay out of washes and low spots. A dry wash looks like flat, open ground, which is why it gets picked as a pad, so we ask about drainage on every desert site and move the unit to higher ground if the first choice sits in a water path.

Plan your access road too. If the only road in crosses a wash, a storm can cut off service visits for a day, so tell us about that ahead of time and we can plan service around the forecast while your people know not to drive through running water.

Watch the forecast in July, August and September. The National Weather Service office in Las Vegas posts flash flood watches and warnings for the valley and surrounding desert, and when a watch goes up, check that the pad drains, that cords are off the ground and that nothing is stored against the trailer.

Winter is a different problem, and mostly a mountain one. The valley floor rarely freezes hard, but Mount Charleston and the Spring Mountains get hard freezes and snow, and utility and fire crews work up there in every season. If your site is at elevation in winter, call before you book so we can plan water and placement with you.

Wind matters in both seasons, since monsoon storms bring sudden gusts and winter fronts bring strong, steady wind. Face doors away from the wind where possible, and keep loose materials secured so they don’t hit the unit.

A short weather plan written into your site safety plan covers all of this: who checks the forecast, where the unit sits, what happens when a road floods and who calls us. It takes about ten minutes to write and can save days of lost work.

Summer heat and work clothes: a laundry routine for Las Vegas job sites

Las Vegas logged 77 days at 100 degrees or higher in 2025, the fifth-warmest year on record there. On a job site, heat like that changes how fast clothes get dirty and how often people need clean ones.

A shirt worn through a hot shift comes off soaked, then dries stiff with salt, and wearing it again the next day rubs skin raw at the collar, armpits and waistband. Over a week, that turns into a comfort problem and a morale problem, which is why clean clothes every day are a basic part of working in this heat.

Plan for a change of shirt at lunch on the worst days, since many workers bring a second one. Those extra shirts double the daily load, so size your laundry plan around two shirts per person in summer, not one.

Cooling gear needs washing too. Cooling towels, neck gaiters, sun sleeves and wide-brim hat liners collect sweat and dust every day, so wash them daily and dry them by the label, since some cooling fabrics don’t take high heat well.

Socks deserve their own attention, because wet socks in work boots cause blisters and foot problems on long shifts. Encourage two or three changes a day in July and August, and plan the wash loads to match.

Fine desert dust works into fabric and stays there. A quick shake-out outside the trailer before clothes go in keeps lint screens clearer and machines running better, and the basin sink handles anything with mud or grease before it goes into a washer.

Put the laundry near where people cool down. When a worker steps off the site into shade or a cooling area, the shower and laundry should be a few steps away, because short walks in the sun add up over a hot shift.

The Southern Nevada Health District publishes heat safety guidance for the valley each summer, and it’s worth sharing with every crew before the first 100-degree week. Clean, dry clothes won’t replace water, shade and rest, but they help people get through the season.
