Why The Lavatory

Why Arizona books The Lavatory first for luxury restroom trailers

A Lavatory 3-Station restroom trailer with three steel stair sets on a paved lot beside desert landscaping, with power lines and bare hills behind a new subdivision

Arizona asks more of a restroom than most states do. A wedding on a Sonoran Desert lawn in June, a spring training lot in Surprise, a fab site in north Phoenix and a pine meadow wedding outside Flagstaff in October all need clean, private restrooms, and each one brings its own ground, heat and access problems. A plastic porta potty sitting in the sun is not a plan for a guest list or a crew working through an Arizona summer.

Every one of our Arizona bathroom trailers is fully self-contained, with water and waste tanks on board and climate control built in. That means a unit works on a paved resort lot with hookups or on hard-packed dirt and gravel with nothing nearby. The same dispatch team plans the Valley, Tucson, the high country and the Colorado River towns, so the crew that sets your luxury bathroom trailer in Arizona knows the unit and the route before it pulls up.

Speed matters here too. A water main fails at a restaurant on a Friday, a monsoon storm floods a venue's restrooms, a plant shutdown date moves up a week. Because we own the fleet and run our own trucks, we can usually confirm a trailer and a delivery window on the first call, and we can often be on site within 1 to 2 hours for urgent work in the metro areas.

A fleet we own outright

Every restroom trailer we send to an Arizona address comes from our own fleet of over 250 units. Nothing is handed off to a stranger, and nothing arrives that we have not inspected. You keep one team and one phone number from the quote to the final pickup.

Restrooms that feel like a building

China toilets with foot flush, stainless sinks with hot and cold running water, framed mirrors, LED lighting and doors that lock. Guests who expect a plastic box walk out of our trailers asking who supplied them.

Cold air in July, warm air in January

Each unit runs air conditioning and heat on a thermostat. We start the cooling hours before guests arrive on a 110 degree Phoenix afternoon, and the same heater keeps a Flagstaff or Show Low unit comfortable on a freezing night.

Want floor plans and tank sizes first? Each unit has its own spec page, including the 9-Station luxury restroom trailer for big Arizona crowds and the ADA + 6 wheelchair accessible restroom trailer that public events and job sites ask for.

The companies that could rent anything still call us for restrooms, because a cheap plastic unit at a launch party or a shareholder event ruins everything the day is meant to say. The Lavatory has provided luxury restrooms for names like Google, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, eBay, and Target, for hospitality at Caesars Palace, and for pro sports including the Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Las Vegas Raiders.

“If I am hosting outdoors, this is the only portable restroom I will consider. Our reception was on the back lawn of a family house in Paradise Valley, AZ, and nobody had to traipse through our hallways. Guests kept saying the trailer felt nicer than some hotel lobbies.”

“Honestly I doubted a fancy portable restroom was worth it for our wedding on my in-laws’ property near Tucson, AZ. Flushing china toilets, sinks with running water and soft lighting won me over in about five minutes. It was one less headache during a hectic weekend.”

Statewide coverage

Restroom trailer rentals across Arizona, region by region

We serve the whole state, from the Valley to the high country and the river towns. These are the regions that fill our Arizona calendar, each with its own roads, ground, weather and kind of event. Give us the address and the date and we will match the right luxury restroom trailer to the site and plan the delivery window around your schedule.

Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun

Maricopa County keeps more of our Arizona trailers working than anywhere else in the state. Cactus League spring training puts 15 big league teams in 10 Valley ballparks every February and March, the Arizona State Fair fills the State Fairgrounds each fall, and race weekends and stadium events bring crowds to Avondale and Glendale. The TSMC campus in north Phoenix, the Intel site in Chandler and the data center builds on the west side add long running job sites, many of them on the 5 a.m. summer schedule state law now protects.

Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and the resort corridor

The WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale draws more than 700,000 fans in a typical tournament week, with a temporary stadium built around the 16th hole. Resort weddings, car auction weeks, charity galas and private parties fill the rest of the calendar from Old Town to North Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Gated communities and HOA rules shape where a trailer can park, so we confirm how wide the gates are, how steep the driveway runs and the quiet hours before delivery.

Mesa, Gilbert and the East Valley

Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley grow fast, and that growth brings new homes, new schools, new churches and a steady line of backyard receptions, youth tournaments and grand openings. Ranch and barn venues on the edge of the East Valley often have one small restroom or none, and a VIP deluxe restroom trailer next to the reception tent solves the problem for the whole guest list.

Tucson and Southern Arizona

The Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase spreads across dozens of venues and tents every winter, La Fiesta de los Vaqueros fills the rodeo grounds each February, and its parade draws more than 200,000 spectators. The I-10 widening through central Tucson, campus events at the University of Arizona and work around Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and Sierra Vista keep units busy all year. Tucson's hottest month is usually June, so summer planning starts early here.

Flagstaff and Northern Arizona

Flagstaff sits near 7,000 feet, where summer is short, winters bring real snow and freezing nights are common from November through March. The Coconino County Fair at Fort Tuthill, trail race weekends at Arizona Snowbowl, Route 66 street festivals downtown, Northern Arizona University events and mountain weddings in the pines all need restrooms on sites with little or no plumbing. Fire season can turn Fort Tuthill into an incident camp, and our self-contained units are built for that kind of short notice call.

Sedona, Prescott and the Verde Valley

Red rock weddings in Sedona, ranch receptions in the Verde Valley and the World's Oldest Rodeo in Prescott every summer all bring large crowds to places with limited restrooms. Prescott and Prescott Valley sit about a mile high, Cottonwood and Camp Verde sit lower and hotter, and the roads between them climb and wind, so we plan every route and setup around the trailer's length and the venue's access.

Yuma, Lake Havasu and the Colorado River

Yuma gets more measured sunshine than any other city on earth, and summer highs near 107 degrees are normal along the lower Colorado River. Winter harvest crews, solar construction, Marine Corps community events, Lake Havasu City spring gatherings and Bullhead City and Kingman projects all call for restrooms that stay cool and run fully self-contained far from any hookup.

Pinal County, copper country and the White Mountains

Casa Grande, Maricopa, Eloy and Coolidge add data center, solar and warehouse projects, and the mining towns from Superior to Globe and Miami bring crews who work far from a permanent building. Up in the White Mountains, Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside and Payson host summer cabin-country festivals, weddings and fire season crews at elevations where nights turn cold even in July.

The fleet

Arizona restroom trailer sizes, from 2 to 9 stations

Seven luxury restroom trailers cover nearly every Arizona request, from a backyard party of 60 in Gilbert to a festival crowd in the thousands. The guest counts below assume an event of about four to five hours in mild weather. Summer heat, an open bar and long job site shifts all raise the count, so we size the order with you instead of guessing.

The 2-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

2-Station Restroom Trailer

One women's suite and one men's suite in a compact unit for up to about 150 guests. It backs into a driveway, a side yard or a small venue lot, which makes it the usual pick for home receptions, birthday parties and small office gatherings around the Valley.

The 3-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

3-Station Restroom Trailer

Two women's suites and a men's suite for up to about 225 guests. Arizona hosts book it for quinceañeras, church picnics, graduation parties, golf tournament hospitality areas and small construction crews.

The 5-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

5-Station Restroom Trailer

Three stalls and two sinks on the women's side, plus a stall, a urinal and a sink on the men's side. It serves 150 to 450 guests with 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank, and it is the trailer most Arizona wedding receptions end up booking.

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer

Eight unisex private rooms, each with a toilet, a urinal and a sink, for 400 to 600 guests. Every room opens to the outside, so lines move quickly at a resort dinner or a corporate party and nobody shares a stall wall.

The 9-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

9-Station Restroom Trailer

Five stalls and two sinks for women, two stalls, two urinals and a sink for men, sized for 400 to 900 guests. Two air conditioning units and a 750 gallon waste tank carry it through a long festival day in the desert heat.

The ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer

A women's suite, a men's suite and an accessible unisex suite with its own ramp. It fits events up to about 200 guests or job sites up to about 30 workers, and it carries 210 gallons of fresh water for long days off the grid.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Arizona

ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer

Four men's stations, two women's stations and an accessible unisex room with a ramp, built to federal accessibility standards. It serves public events and crews up to about 300 people when an accessible restroom is part of the permit.

Not sure which size fits? Send us the guest count, the hours, the month and whether alcohol is served. We will size the order honestly, even when that means a smaller trailer than you planned on.

Sizing guide

How we size a restroom trailer for an Arizona event or job site

A Lavatory ADA + 2 restroom trailer with a long aluminum ramp and railings set in a parking lot beside a tile-roofed building and red gravel landscaping

Every Arizona quote starts from the same few numbers: guest count, event length, whether alcohol is served, the month and how long the trailer stays. These are the working figures behind our recommendations, adjusted for desert heat.

Up to about 150 guests

The 2-Station unit holds 105 gallons of fresh water and a 300 gallon waste tank and runs on one 20 amp, 120 volt circuit. It covers backyard receptions, church gatherings and office parties of 80 to 150 people over four or five hours.

150 to 450 guests

The 5-Station unit measures 14 feet 6 inches in the box and about 20 feet with the tongue, with 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank. Most Arizona receptions of 200 to 350 guests fit here comfortably.

400 to 900 guests

The 9-Station unit runs two air conditioning units on two 20 amp circuits and holds 750 gallons of waste. The 8-Station Private Stall carries 400 gallons of fresh water and a 1,000 gallon waste tank for 400 to 600 guests who want a private room.

Crowds in the thousands

For a rodeo, a fair, a golf tournament or a gem show we set two or more large units in separate banks so the crowd splits, then pump between peak sessions. A weekend event with 5,000 guests usually needs several trailers and scheduled service, not one oversized unit.

Job sites and long stays

Federal rules under 29 CFR 1926.51 require at least one toilet for 20 or fewer workers and more as the crew grows. The ADA + 2 covers crews up to about 30, and we set a weekly or twice weekly pumping schedule for jobs that run 30, 60 or 90 days.

Space and access

Plan on about 12 to 14 feet of width with stairs or ramps out, and 20 to 35 feet of length depending on the unit. Every trailer needs firm, level ground and a clear path wide enough for a truck to back in, which matters on soft desert sand and steep hillside lots.

Desert heat adjustments

Heat changes the math. On a 108 degree afternoon guests drink far more water, lines grow and tanks fill faster. For an outdoor event above 100 degrees we move up one size or add a pump-out, and we never size a June event from a February guest count.

Where they work

Weddings, festivals, job sites, emergencies and more: how Arizona uses our restroom trailers

Our Arizona bookings cover almost every kind of gathering and project. These are the jobs we plan most often, each with its own needs for trailer size, placement, water and service.

Weddings and receptions

Arizona weddings love open land: desert lawns in Scottsdale, red rock overlooks in Sedona, pine meadows near Flagstaff and family ranches in the East Valley. Many of these places have one small restroom or none. A 5-Station or 8-Station Private Stall luxury bathroom trailer near the reception gives every guest a cool, clean restroom with running water.

Festivals, fairs, rodeos and gem shows

The Arizona State Fair, the Tucson Gem Show, La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, the World's Oldest Rodeo in Prescott and the Coconino County Fair all draw crowds that permanent restrooms cannot handle. We set units in banks so the lines split, then schedule pumping between peak sessions so nothing fills up mid-show.

Golf, spring training and sports events

Tournament weeks at TPC Scottsdale, Cactus League games in the Valley and youth tournaments across the state bring thousands of people into lots and fields for hours. Hospitality tents and VIP areas book our larger portable restroom trailers, and we time delivery around lot access windows and road closures.

Construction, fabs, data centers and solar

TSMC's north Phoenix campus, the Intel site in Chandler, data center builds in the West Valley and Pinal County and utility-scale solar in Yuma County all run large crews far from a permanent building. A clean restroom with air conditioning and running water helps a contractor keep good workers through a summer that starts at 5 a.m.

Emergencies, monsoon damage and wildfire camps

When a water main breaks or a monsoon storm floods a building, a business can lose its restrooms in an hour. Our 24/7 line takes emergency orders, and self-contained units keep running when the water is off. Wildfire incident camps in the high country book them for crews and staff.

Corporate events, resorts and film shoots

Resort lawns in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley host corporate retreats, product launches and charity galas that outgrow the building's restrooms. Commercial and film crews working on desert locations need a private restroom near base camp, often with no water line for miles.

Schools, churches and community events

Graduations at stadiums, band competitions, church revivals, city festivals and farmers markets all need extra restrooms for a day or a season. School districts and cities often ask for an ADA unit, so one accessible room is usually part of the plan.

Remodels and building projects

When a restaurant, hotel or office remodels its restrooms, staff and guests still need somewhere to go. A rented bathroom trailer parked by the side entrance keeps the business open while the work is finished, and homeowners use the smaller units during a full bathroom remodel.

Whatever you are hosting or building, call (602) 536-5726 or request a quote. Most Arizona quotes go out the same day.

Weather plan

Built for Arizona heat, monsoon storms and high country winters

Snow on the San Francisco Peaks above a ponderosa pine forest and open grassland near Flagstaff

Heat is the everyday design question in Arizona. Phoenix set records in 2024 with 70 days at or above 110 degrees and a streak of 113 straight days at 100 or hotter, and Yuma and the Colorado River towns run just as hot. Every trailer we rent has a built-in air conditioner on a thermostat, and our crew starts it hours before guests arrive so the inside is cool from the first visit. For long summer events we also plan extra water, shade when the site allows it and a pumping schedule for heavier use.

Monsoon season runs from June 15 through September 30. It brings dust storms, high wind, lightning, sudden downpours and flash floods that turn dry washes into rivers in minutes. We never park a unit in a wash or a low spot, we stake down stairs and ramps, and for multi-day events we watch the forecast and will secure or move a trailer before a storm arrives, then reset it before guests return.

The high country has real winter. Flagstaff, Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside and the Grand Canyon gateway towns see snow and freezing nights for months, and Prescott and Payson get their share. Our trailers carry heat as well as air conditioning, so the cabin stays above freezing overnight. On a hard freeze we protect or disconnect the site hose, drain lines between services and run the unit fully self-contained with water delivery and scheduled pumping.

Fire season overlaps the hottest weeks in the forests. Stage 2 restrictions, smoke and evacuations can change event plans with little notice, and incident command posts need restrooms in hours, not days. Our dispatch line is open 24/7 for those calls, and we can often have a trailer rolling the same day.

For storm safety, read the National Weather Service Flagstaff office’s Arizona monsoon guide.

How it works

Four steps from your first call to pickup day

A Lavatory 3-Station restroom trailer with steel stairs at each door, set on packed desert dirt beside a block wall and a red barn

1. Call or request a quote

Give us the date, the address, the guest count and the hours. Our line is answered 24/7, most quotes go out the same day, and urgent orders get immediate dispatch.

2. We size it and check the site

We match the trailer to your crowd and look at ground, slope, gate width, power and water. For a resort lawn, a desert lot, a mountain road or a plant site with badge access, we ask for photos or a site visit before we commit to a spot.

3. Delivery and setup

Our crew delivers, levels, connects power and water where available, starts the air conditioning or heat and stocks the unit with paper, soap, towels and fragrance. Setup is finished well before your first guest arrives.

4. Service and pickup

For multi-day events and long jobs we restock and pump on a set schedule. When the work wraps up we remove the trailer and leave the site the way we found it.

Permits, health rules and placement in Arizona

Hillside homes on a rocky desert mountain above the Phoenix valley at sunset

A trailer on private property usually needs no permit of its own, but public events are different. In Phoenix, the city's special event site plan must show every restroom along with the stages, tents and fencing, and an ADA accessible restroom must be available. The portable restroom permit itself comes from the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department, which regulates chemical toilets, portable restroom units and holding tanks and approves the number and location of restrooms at special events.

Maricopa County's code is a useful planning guide anywhere in Arizona. It calls for supplemental restrooms at every special event, separate facilities marked for men and women, and as many as one toilet for each 40 men and each 40 women expected. Restrooms must sit within 200 feet of the gathering and away from occupied buildings and sidewalks. Pima County, Coconino County and the other counties and cities run their own event and health reviews, and we help you match the order to what your permit asks for.

Waste handling follows state and county rules. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality licenses every vehicle that hauls toilet and holding tank waste, and Maricopa County treats portable restroom waste as non-hazardous liquid waste that only a permitted hauler may remove. We handle all pumping and disposal at approved facilities, so you never need to hire a separate company. On construction sites the federal standard 29 CFR 1926.51, enforced in Arizona through the state's own OSHA plan, sets the number of toilets by crew size.

Accessibility follows federal law. The Americans with Disabilities Act sets the requirements for accessible restrooms at public events and places of business. Our ADA + 2 and ADA + 6 trailers include a ramp, handrails, grab bars and a turning space inside, and we place them on firm, level ground close to the main walkway so the route works for every guest.

For the source rules, see the Maricopa County code on chemical toilets and portable restroom units, the ADEQ solid waste and septage hauler program and the OSHA construction sanitation standard 29 CFR 1926.51.

Questions

Questions people ask about renting a restroom trailer in Arizona

How fast can you deliver a restroom trailer in Arizona?

We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch. In the Phoenix and Tucson metros we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours for urgent orders when a unit is free. For planned events, booking as soon as your date is set gives you the widest choice of sizes.

How far ahead should I book for spring events?

As early as you can. February through April is the busiest stretch in Arizona, with the WM Phoenix Open, Cactus League spring training, the Tucson Gem Show, the Tucson Rodeo and peak wedding season all landing at once. Fall wedding season and State Fair weeks book quickly too.

Will the trailer stay cool during a Phoenix summer event?

Yes. Every unit has a built-in air conditioner on a thermostat, and our crew starts it hours ahead of your guests. For an all day event in June, July or August we also plan extra water, shade where possible and a pumping schedule for heavier use.

Do you deliver restroom trailers to Flagstaff and the high country?

Yes. We deliver to Flagstaff, Williams, Sedona, Prescott, Payson, Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside. Our trailers carry heat, and in winter we freeze-protect the hoses and run the unit self-contained so it keeps working on cold nights at 7,000 feet.

Which size do I need for a 250 guest wedding?

For about 250 guests over four to five hours, the 5-Station Restroom Trailer is the usual fit. If the bar runs late or the reception is outdoors on a hot evening, move up to the 8-Station Private Stall or the 9-Station so lines stay short.

What if my venue has no water or sewer hookup?

That is common in Arizona and it is fine. Every trailer carries its own fresh water tank and a large waste tank. We fill it before delivery and pump it on a schedule, so it runs on open desert or ranch land far from any utility line. A standard outlet or a quiet generator runs the lights and the air conditioning.

Do I need a permit for a restroom trailer in Arizona?

On private property for a private party, usually not. Public events often do. In Maricopa County the portable restroom permit comes from Environmental Services, and Phoenix special event site plans must show every restroom and an accessible unit. Tell us what your permit asks for and we will match the order to it.

What happens during monsoon season?

We place every trailer on firm, high ground away from washes and low spots, stake down stairs and ramps and watch the forecast. On multi-day events we will secure or move a unit ahead of a dust storm or flash flood warning and reset it once the weather passes.

Can you handle construction sites and long term rentals?

Yes. We serve fab sites, data center builds, solar projects, road work and home builders across Arizona with weekly or twice weekly service. The ADA + 2 covers crews up to about 30 workers, and larger crews get additional units under 29 CFR 1926.51.

Do you have ADA accessible restroom trailers?

Yes. The ADA + 2 and ADA + 6 trailers include a ramp, handrails, grab bars and a wheelchair turning space inside. We set them on level ground next to the main path so the accessible route actually works.

Can you help after a water main break or a flooded building?

Yes. Call our 24/7 line and we will send a self-contained trailer as fast as possible, often within 1 to 2 hours in the metro areas. Restaurants, churches, schools and offices use our units to stay open while plumbing repairs are finished.

What is included with the rental?

Delivery, leveling, setup, air conditioning and heat, stocked paper goods, soap, hand towels and fragrance. For multi-day rentals we add scheduled restocking and pumping, and at the end we remove the trailer and leave the site clean.

Tell us the date and the address, and we will handle the rest
