Why choose The Lavatory

The Lavatory is the name behind private restroom trailer rentals in Houston

Nobody leaves a reception talking about the table decor. They talk about the line, the heat inside a plastic box, or the restroom that felt like a nice hotel. We build every Houston booking around that moment, because it is the one part of an event every single guest uses. The Lavatory brings real china toilets, running water, mirrors and cold air to your site, and we keep the rooms stocked until the last guest leaves. We are licensed and insured, rated A+ by the BBB network, and backed by five-star Google reviews. Call us or request a quote and we will walk you through the right size for your crowd.

Our own fleet, start to finish

We do not rent trailers from someone else and pass them on. We own more than 250 luxury trailers outright. The unit on your quote is the unit that shows up.

Real restrooms inside

China toilets, running water, mirrors and good light. Guests feel like they walked into a nice hotel restroom.

AC built for Houston

Every unit has air conditioning on a thermostat, and we run it early so rooms are cool when the first guest walks in.

We plan around Houston traffic

Houston is spread out, and a delivery from Katy to Clear Lake can cross the 610 Loop, Beltway 8 and the Grand Parkway. We time drops before rush hour, check overpass heights and street parking rules downtown, and confirm gate codes and loading zones ahead of time.

Trusted with temporary restroom trailers by companies that could pick anyone

The companies that could rent anything still call us for restrooms, because a cheap plastic unit at a launch party or a shareholder event ruins everything the day is meant to say. The Lavatory has provided luxury restrooms for names like Google, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, eBay, and Target, for hospitality at Caesars Palace, and for pro sports including the Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Las Vegas Raiders.

The reason those bookings repeat is simple. A luxury restroom is the one vendor a guest uses and remembers, for better or worse, so the trailer has to be stocked, clean and working from the first guest to the last. That is how we run every unit in the fleet, and it is the same standard behind every Houston booking, from a backyard engagement party to a festival gate.

Three decades in event and equipment rental, running the largest luxury restroom trailer fleet in the Western U.S. Every unit ours, never a broker’s.

Inside the trailer

VIP restroom trailer rentals for backstage areas and hospitality tents

For a Houston wedding or company party with 150 to 450 guests, the 5-Station is the unit we send most. For the rodeo crowd, a stadium lot or a long festival day, we step up to the 9-Station or set two trailers side by side.

A Lavatory 3-Station restroom trailer with two women's doors and one men's door next to rows of white folding chairs at an event

Big Houston events split the crowd. General admission uses the main restroom banks. Artists, sponsors, club seat holders and the crew behind the stage need something else. We set deluxe trailers inside those fenced areas so nobody with a VIP pass has to walk out into the main crowd.

NRG Park is the best example. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo ran 21 days in March 2026 and drew about 2.6 million visitors. Sponsor tents, trail ride camps and carnival staff areas all sit outside the permanent buildings. The same pattern shows up at Shell Energy Stadium, at Daikin Park for team events, and at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion up in The Woodlands.

Golf brings its own version. The Texas Children’s Houston Open is played at Memorial Park Golf Course each spring, and hospitality tents line the course far from any clubhouse. The Chevron Houston Marathon sends more than 27,000 runners through downtown, Montrose and the Galleria, with VIP tents at the start and finish. On jobs like these we place the trailer on the short side of the tent, run power from the tent panel or a quiet generator, and keep the steps out of the walkway.

Backstage work runs late. We plan a mid-event service check for long nights, so paper and soap never run out during the encore. Need wash space for crews on a multi-day build? Pair a restroom with one of our Houston shower trailer rentals and the whole crew area is covered.

The fittings inside a restroom trailer

Flushing china toilets

Real porcelain toilets with a foot flush, the same fixtures your guests use at home, not a chemical tank.

Running-water sinks

Stainless steel sinks with real running water, hand soap, and towels, fed by onboard water tanks so you are covered even without a hookup.

Climate control

Air conditioning for a summer afternoon and heat for a cold evening, so the trailer stays comfortable no matter the season.

Framed mirrors and lighting

Oversized framed vanity mirrors, warm interior lighting, and finished flooring that reads like a venue restroom, not a jobsite.

Fully stocked, always fresh

Premium toilet paper, towels, soap, and fragrance, restocked and pumped so the unit stays fresh from the first guest to the last.

Power and water handled

Onboard water tanks plus a generator when your site has no hookup, so the trailer runs anywhere from a vineyard to an open field.

Full specifications for every unit are on the 5-Station spec page and its four sister pages, or call and we will spec it to your Houston guest count.

The full restroom trailer fleet is one page over; below is how we size a unit to a Texas guest count.

Think it through

Where deluxe restroom trailers can sit on a Houston site

A trailer on your own driveway or private land for a short event usually needs no city permit, though your HOA may have its own rules. Events on city property, in a city park or in the street go through the City of Houston special events process, and parks events also need Houston Parks and Recreation approval. We send our spec sheets, placement drawings and insurance papers for your application. As the largest luxury trailer fleet in the Western U.S., with over 250 units, we have walked many Houston permit offices through this before.

Waste from our trailers is pumped by haulers registered with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and taken to a licensed disposal site. It never goes into a storm drain. That matters in Houston, where storm drains run straight to the bayous. On longer rentals we can sometimes tie into an approved sewer connection on site.

Accessibility counts on temporary setups. Under the Texas Accessibility Standards, run by TDLR, temporary facilities can be covered, and those standards follow the federal 2010 ADA Standards. Our ADA + 2 trailer has a built-in ramp and an accessible room built to federal ADA standards, and we plan a firm, level path to the ramp.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, available for Houston-area events

What we cover on ADA and venue access

  • ADA-accessible units with a self-contained ramp, wide door, grab bars, and turning room.
  • Guidance on where to place the trailer so it is easy to reach and easy to service.
  • Water and power sorted before delivery, with a generator staged when the site has no hookup.
  • Licensed and insured on every unit we put on the road.

One thing we always say plainly: some venues and city permits have their own rules on placement, accessibility, and event restrooms. Tell us your venue and we will help you plan around them, but confirm any permit requirements with the venue or the city as well.

Luxury bathroom trailer rentals for ranch, barn and backyard weddings

An outdoor reception under white tents with red tablecloths and wooden chairs on a lawn

Many of the prettiest wedding sites around Houston were never built for 200 guests. Ranches out toward Waller, Hempstead and Brookshire. Barns and family land in Fort Bend County. Big wooded lots in Magnolia and Tomball. Backyards in River Oaks, Memorial and The Heights. Most have one house bathroom and a septic system that cannot take a full reception.

A wedding guest in a long dress should not climb into a plastic stall. Our trailers have wide steps with rails to hold, real sinks and mirrors, and soft lighting that still works after sunset. The bride gets a proper place to touch up. Grandparents get a cool room with a real toilet instead of a hot box in the grass.

Heat is the big planning point here. An outdoor Houston reception from May through September can run past 95 degrees with heavy humidity. We start the air conditioning before the ceremony so the rooms are already cold when cocktail hour begins. In the cooler months, the same units switch to heat for a chilly December night.

We walk the site with you or your planner first. We look for firm, level ground, a path a guest in heels can use, and a spot close to the dance floor but out of the photos. After heavy rain, Houston clay turns soft fast, so we choose a firm spot near the drive or set boards under the wheels. Call us or request a quote with your venue address, and we will hold the right unit for your date.

In plain terms

Set, stocked and serviced: temporary restroom trailers in Houston

A Lavatory 9-Station restroom trailer on a packed dirt lot beside a fenced ball field under a cloudy sky

We handle the whole thing, not just the drop-off. Our team delivers the trailer, levels and sets it, connects water and power or stages a generator, and stocks it before your first guest arrives. When the event wraps, we come back and haul it away. You never touch the logistics. That part is on us.

For longer or higher-traffic bookings in Houston, we offer an on-site attendant who keeps the trailer stocked and spotless through the event, and we pump and refresh the unit so it holds up from the first guest to the last. That always-fresh standard is the difference between a restroom guests use once and one they are glad to use all night.

In short

Why wedding planners budget for a luxury bathroom trailer first in Houston

The downtown Houston skyline at night above lit freeway interchanges

Think about what a Houston event actually costs to put on. The venue, the catering, the flowers, the photographer, the hours of planning. Then picture a guest walking out of a hot plastic box in the middle of all of it. Nobody plans for that. The restroom is the one vendor every single guest uses, often more than once, and it is the detail they quietly judge the whole event by.

A luxury restroom trailer protects everything else you spent on. It reads like an extension of the venue, holds up through a full day of guests, and gives people one less thing to remember for the wrong reason. Set against the total cost of the day, it is a small line item that quietly carries a lot of the impression, which is exactly why the hosts who have been burned once book the trailer first the next time.

Portable restroom trailer rentals for holiday markets and seasonal pop-ups

A Lavatory ADA restroom trailer with an aluminum ramp and rails parked beside a shaded park lawn

Fall and winter bring a busy run of short events to Houston. Holiday markets, pumpkin patches, Christmas tree lots, ice rinks and light shows pop up for a few weeks and then disappear. Shoppers stay longer when they do not have to leave to find a restroom. Vendors stay happier too.

The Nutcracker Market brings a huge holiday shopping crowd to NRG Center each November. Uptown Houston lights up Post Oak Boulevard for the season. Downtown parks like Discovery Green and Market Square Park host winter events with food, music and skating. Shopping centers across Katy, Sugar Land and The Woodlands add their own weekend markets in the parking lots.

A pop-up that runs for six weeks needs a real service plan from the start, not just a single delivery and a pickup date. We set a pumping and restock schedule based on your daily traffic and your busiest weekends. Most seasonal sites run on onboard tanks, so you do not need a sewer line or a water hookup. A standard outlet from the lot lights or a small generator powers the unit.

Big weather swings are a normal part of a Houston winter, even in a mild year. A warm week in the 80s can turn into a hard freeze a few days later. Every trailer has heat, and we watch the forecast so water lines stay safe when a cold front drops in. Tree lots and markets in Pasadena, Pearland and Cypress get the same plan. Book early for November and December weekends, since holiday market dates fill fast. Call us or request a quote to lock in your run.

Remodels, races and outages: more places our mobile restroom trailers go

Three kinds of calls fill our Houston calendar. Event producers want a better restroom behind the stage and inside the hospitality tent. Couples want a reception restroom that matches the dress code. Market and pop-up organizers need restrooms for weeks at a time in places with no building at all.

An outdoor reception under white tents with red tablecloths and wooden chairs on a lawn

Storm and outage response

When a hurricane, a derecho or a freeze knocks out power or water, buildings lose their restrooms fast. We run units on onboard tanks and a generator so offices, churches and clinics can keep their doors open.

A Lavatory 9-Station restroom trailer on a packed dirt lot beside a fenced ball field under a cloudy sky

Restaurant and office remodels

A remodel can shut every restroom in a building for weeks. We place a deluxe trailer by the side door so staff and customers have a clean place to go while the work gets done.

The 2-Station Restroom Trailer, our compact luxury unit, available for Houston-area events

Races and fun runs

Race mornings need restrooms at the start, the finish and the VIP tent. We set them early and keep them stocked until the last runner crosses.

The 3-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Houston-area events

Corporate and campus events

Company picnics in the Energy Corridor, campus events near Rice and the University of Houston, and product launches downtown all look better with a real restroom on site.

The 5-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Houston-area events

Film and TV shoots

Texas expanded its film incentive program in 2025, and more crews are shooting around Houston. Talent and crew get private rooms near base camp instead of a long walk to a public building.

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for Houston-area events

Church and community festivals

Parish festivals, cultural celebrations and neighborhood block parties draw big crowds for one or two days. We size the order so the lines stay short.

What ties these together is the guest experience. Nobody remembers a restroom that worked, but everybody remembers one that did not. Because our units sit staged across the region instead of a couple counties away, getting a luxury trailer to a Houston date, even a last-minute one, is an ordinary ask here, not a scramble.

Typical Houston setups for our restroom trailers

The 2-Station Restroom Trailer, our compact luxury unit, available for Houston-area events

Typical setup: a sponsor tent at a stadium lot

When a sponsor needs restrooms inside a fenced hospitality area, we place a 5-Station on the short side of the tent, run power from the tent panel, and set a service check halfway through the event. Guests stay inside the fence all day.

Typical setup: a ranch wedding after a rainy week

When the ground is soft after a storm, we walk the site the day before, pick a firm spot near the drive, and lay boards under the wheels. We start the air conditioning before the ceremony so the rooms are cool for cocktail hour.

Typical setup: a six week holiday market

When a market runs every weekend through December, we set a pumping and restock plan around the busiest Saturdays. We check the heat and the water lines before each cold front so the trailer stays open through a freeze.

Houston neighborhoods served by our event restroom trailer rentals

An outdoor reception under white tents with red tablecloths and wooden chairs on a lawn

We deliver across all of Houston, from Downtown and The Heights to Clear Lake, Kingwood and the Energy Corridor. Our crews also cover Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria and Galveston counties on a schedule we set with you. If your event is farther out, our full luxury restroom trailer fleet covers every state, and you can also see our restroom and shower locations across Texas for more of the state. We are a direct fleet, not a reseller, and we are SAM.gov registered for city, county and federal work. Give us an address and a date, and we will confirm the delivery window, often with same-day answers.

We cover Houston luxury restroom trailer rentals across Texas. Neighborhoods and towns we serve include Downtown, Midtown, EaDo, The Heights, Montrose, Museum District, River Oaks, Upper Kirby, Galleria, Memorial, Spring Branch, Energy Corridor, Bellaire, West University Place, Meyerland, Clear Lake, Pasadena, Kingwood, Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands, Humble.

For a venue elsewhere in the state, start from the Texas restroom trailer page.

Downtown and EaDo

Office towers, hotels, the George R. Brown Convention Center and the stadium district. Deliveries need tight timing, curb space and sometimes a street use permit.

The Heights and Montrose

Older homes on narrow streets with big shade trees. Backyard parties and small weddings call for a 2-Station or 3-Station that fits the drive.

River Oaks and Memorial

Large lots and formal homes where guests expect a polished setup. The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe is a common choice for black-tie events.

Galleria and Uptown

Retail, offices and hotels line Post Oak Boulevard and the streets around the Galleria. Holiday events, brand launches and restaurant remodels keep our trailers busy in this part of the city.

NRG Park and the Medical Center

Rodeo season, stadium events and hospital campus projects. Large orders and long rentals are normal in this part of town.

Clear Lake

The area around NASA Johnson Space Center, with marinas and waterfront venues along the bay. Company events, family reunions and waterfront weddings are the most common jobs we handle here.

Most Houston rentals can be delivered the same day, and our dispatch line answers 24/7 for last-minute and emergency dates.

Field notes

What site contractors ask about restroom trailers in Houston

The 3-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Houston-area events
Can you pump and restock the trailer during a three day festival in Houston?

Yes. On multi-day events we set a service visit based on your crowd size and hours. A pump truck empties the waste tank, refills fresh water if needed, and our crew restocks paper, soap and towels. Most visits happen early in the morning before the gates open, so guests never see the work.

Is one standard outlet enough, or do I need a generator?

Most of our trailers run on one standard 20 amp, 120 volt circuit within 100 feet. The 9-Station and the ADA + 2 need two circuits. If your site has no power, we arrange a quiet generator sized for the unit. In Houston summer heat the air conditioning draws the most power, so we always confirm the outlet before delivery.

Where does the trailer get its cooling on a 100 degree Houston afternoon, and what happens in a freeze?

Every unit has its own air conditioning and heat on a thermostat. On hot days we start the AC well before guests arrive. In a hard freeze we keep the heat on and protect the water lines, the way we did for customers through past cold snaps. Shade helps too, so we park on the shady side of a building when we can.

What size order do we need for 1,500 guests at an outdoor event?

The answer depends on how many hours the event runs and whether the bar is open, but as a rough guide, a 9-Station handles about 400 to 900 guests over five hours. For 1,500 guests with an open bar, plan on two or three large trailers, plus an ADA unit. We look at your timeline and spread the units out so no single line gets long.

When should we use a water hookup instead of the onboard tank?

Use a hookup for long rentals or very busy sites where a hose bib is close by, because a steady water supply saves a refill visit. For most one or two day events, the onboard fresh water tank is plenty. Ranch and backyard sites often have no easy water access, and the trailer runs fine on its own tanks.

How is the quote for a Houston portable restroom trailer rental put together?

Five things shape it: the trailer size, the number of days, the distance from our route, how often it needs service, and whether you need a generator or an attendant. Weekend dates in rodeo season and peak wedding months book up first. Call us or request a quote and we will price the exact setup you need.

Do you need level ground, or can the trailer sit on a sloped lawn?

We need fairly level, firm ground and a clear path for our truck to back the trailer into place. A gentle slope is fine, because our crew levels the trailer with jacks and blocks before anyone steps inside. We also need about 12 feet of width and 13 feet of height clearance along the drive. After a rainy week we pick firmer ground or lay boards under the wheels so the trailer stays put.

Will guests who use a wheelchair have a room they can use?

Yes. Our ADA + 2 trailer has a built-in ramp and an accessible unisex room with grab bars and room to turn, built to federal ADA standards. We place it on firm, level ground with a clear path from the main event area. Many venues and city permits ask for an accessible unit, so we add it to most larger orders.

How far ahead should we book for a fall wedding or rodeo season?

For Saturdays in October, November and the spring rodeo season, book two to three months out if you can, because those dates fill first across the whole Houston area. Weekday events and short-notice jobs are often still possible, so call us even if your date is close and we will check what is open.

Do you deliver to Galveston, Katy and The Woodlands?

Yes, our crews cover the whole Houston area, including Galveston, Katy, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Pearland, Baytown and Kingwood. Farther trips are planned around your date and setup time.

What happens if a tropical storm hits the week of our event?

Call us as soon as the forecast turns, and we will hold off on delivery until the roads and the ground are safe again, then work with you on a new date. If the storm knocks out power or water at a building, our trailers can help with that too. Our 24/7 phone line stays open through storm season.

How many restroom stations a Houston wedding really needs

Most couples guess low on restrooms. A reception with 200 guests feels small until the bar opens and the line starts backing up behind one door, which is the moment nobody wants. The math is simple once you know what drives it.

Then look at the hours, because a four hour reception uses far less than a seven hour day that starts with an outdoor ceremony, rolls into a long cocktail hour and ends with a late dance party.

A checklist for placing a bathroom trailer on a ranch or backyard site

A great trailer parked in a bad spot still causes trouble on the day of the event, so walk the site with this list well before delivery.

Check the path for the truck. Our trucks need about 12 feet of width and 13 feet of height. Low oak branches, tight gates and soft ditches are the usual problems on Houston-area ranches.

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality wastewater permitting

What to ask before you rent restrooms for a VIP area

Hospitality areas raise the bar, because sponsors and artists expect a restroom that matches the rest of the setup. Here are the questions worth asking any rental company before you sign.

Ask who owns the trailer. Some companies rent the trailer from someone else and mark it up. When something goes wrong at 9 p.m., you want the people who own the unit on the phone.

TDLR Texas Accessibility Standards

Seasonal timing: when to book restrooms in Houston

Houston has a busy season that does not match most of the country, and knowing it helps you lock in the exact trailer you want.

Spring is packed. Rodeo season fills March, and wedding season picks up in April and May while the weather is still mild. Golf, festivals and graduation parties stack on top of that.
