Why choose The Lavatory

Temporary bathroom rentals in Dallas, done right by The Lavatory

You will not find a plastic porta potty anywhere on our lot, because we have never owned one. Every trailer we send to Dallas has flushing china toilets, sinks with running water, framed mirrors, soft lighting and air conditioning, since that is the only kind of restroom we rent. There is no cheaper unit to downsell you into and no surprise swap on delivery day. The Lavatory runs the largest luxury restroom trailer fleet in the Western U.S., with over 250 units and more than 30 years in event and equipment rental behind it. We are licensed and insured, A+ rated with the BBB, and backed by five-star Google reviews. Call us now or request a quote, and we will tell you which size fits your crowd before you hang up.

We own every trailer

We are a direct fleet, not a reseller passing your order to someone else. The trailer, the truck and the crew are ours, so the unit you book is the unit that shows up.

Clean before every job

Each trailer is washed, sanitized and inspected after every rental. You get spotless rooms, full paper and soap, and working lights on delivery day.

Sized to your guest list

We ask about guest count, hours and drinks, then match the stations to the crowd. You never pay for a trailer that is too big or end up with a line that is too long.

We plan around Dallas traffic and tight lots

A delivery from Lake Highlands to Mountain Creek can cross I-635, US 75 and I-35E, so we time drops before rush hour. Downtown we check garage clearance, curb space and alley access the day before we roll.

“The Lavatory team in Dallas answered every question fast and treated us like a priority from the first call. The restroom trailer was spotless and looked better than the restrooms inside most venues we use. We plan to call them first whenever our events need bathrooms.”

Fair warning

Trusted with bathroom trailers by companies that could pick anyone

The companies that could rent anything still call us for restrooms, because a cheap plastic unit at a launch party or a shareholder event ruins everything the day is meant to say. The Lavatory has provided luxury restrooms for names like Google, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, eBay, and Target, for hospitality at Caesars Palace, and for pro sports including the Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Las Vegas Raiders.

The reason those bookings repeat is simple. A luxury restroom is the one vendor a guest uses and remembers, for better or worse, so the trailer has to be stocked, clean and working from the first guest to the last. That is how we run every unit in the fleet, and it is the same standard behind every Dallas booking, from a backyard engagement party to a festival gate.

Three decades in event and equipment rental, running the largest luxury restroom trailer fleet in the Western U.S. Every unit ours, never a broker’s.

Inside the trailer

VIP restroom trailer rentals for Dallas film and TV base camps

For most Dallas weddings and company parties between 150 and 450 guests, the 5-Station is the unit we send. A State Fair vendor area, a festival lot or a long film day calls for the 9-Station or two trailers parked side by side.

A Lavatory restroom trailer with steel stairs on a paved lot beside an old brick and metal warehouse wrapped in scaffolding

Production in North Texas has picked up fast. Texas expanded its Moving Image Industry Incentive Program under SB 22, with grants of up to 31 percent starting September 1, 2025, and about 150 million dollars a year set aside through 2035. More shows and commercials now shoot around Dallas, and every one of them needs a base camp. Dallas College even opened a virtual production soundstage at its North Lake Campus in Irving in February 2026.

Location work is where restrooms get hard. The Dallas Film and Creative Industries Office points crews to Deep Ellum and Oak Cliff for that brick and steel look, and those blocks have alleys, old warehouses and empty lots, not public restrooms. A night shoot can keep 100 people on a street for 14 hours. Cast and crew want a clean room with a lock and running water. The talent wants it close to their own trailers, not across a parking lot.

We set it up the way a production manager expects. The unit arrives before call time, sits level on the base camp lot, and stays out of camera sight lines and away from the generator. If the company moves to a second location at lunch, we can plan a company move with you. For long shoots we book a service visit after wrap so the trailer is pumped, stocked and clean for the next morning.

Commercial shoots at a ranch near Midlothian or an estate in Preston Hollow get the same care. Many productions pair a VIP trailer for talent with a larger unit for crew, and long location builds often add one of our Dallas shower trailer rentals for the set crew. Send us the call sheet and the lot address, and we will confirm the drop window the same day.

We also handle temporary Fort Worth restroom trailer rentals.

The fittings inside a private suite

Flushing china toilets

Real porcelain toilets with a foot flush, the same fixtures your guests use at home, not a chemical tank.

Running-water sinks

Stainless steel sinks with real running water, hand soap, and towels, fed by onboard water tanks so you are covered even without a hookup.

Climate control

Air conditioning for a summer afternoon and heat for a cold evening, so the trailer stays comfortable no matter the season.

Framed mirrors and lighting

Oversized framed vanity mirrors, warm interior lighting, and finished flooring that reads like a venue restroom, not a jobsite.

Fully stocked, always fresh

Premium toilet paper, towels, soap, and fragrance, restocked and pumped so the unit stays fresh from the first guest to the last.

Power and water handled

Onboard water tanks plus a generator when your site has no hookup, so the trailer runs anywhere from a vineyard to an open field.

Full specifications for every unit are on the 5-Station spec page and its four sister pages, or call and we will spec it to your Dallas guest count.

Every configuration lives on the luxury restroom trailer service page. Here is how we match one to a Texas event.

What to expect

The luxury bathroom trailers we send to Dallas events, pictured

Our restroom trailers, and the kinds of events we set them up for. Backyard weddings, vineyard receptions, corporate lots, film sets, and the festival gates where the lines have to move.

Start here

What happens after luxury bathroom trailers land on a Dallas site

A Lavatory ADA restroom trailer with an aluminum ramp and handrails set on a wide grass lawn

We handle the whole thing, not just the drop-off. Our team delivers the trailer, levels and sets it, connects water and power or stages a generator, and stocks it before your first guest arrives. When the event wraps, we come back and haul it away. You never touch the logistics. That part is on us.

For longer or higher-traffic bookings in Dallas, we offer an on-site attendant who keeps the trailer stocked and spotless through the event, and we pump and refresh the unit so it holds up from the first guest to the last. That always-fresh standard is the difference between a restroom guests use once and one they are glad to use all night.

Luxury bathroom trailer rentals for ranch, vineyard and backyard weddings near Dallas

A Lavatory 5-Station restroom trailer parked on green grass under big oak trees on open ranch land

Weddings are the biggest reason people rent our trailers, and North Texas has a lot of land for them. Ranch and barn venues ring the city, from Firefly Gardens in Midlothian to the White Sparrow Barn in Quinlan and the 120 acre Texas Star Ranch out near Weatherford. Plenty of couples skip the venue and marry on family land toward Forney, Kaufman or Terrell, where the only building is a barn.

Wine country sits closer than most people think. Grapevine calls itself the headquarters of the Texas wine industry, with nine tasting rooms on its Urban Wine Trail, and vineyard weddings run north toward Muenster, where 4R Ranch hosts up to 200 guests beside its Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier rows. Tented receptions on a vineyard lawn or a pond bank need restrooms that match the dress code.

Backyard weddings bring their own questions. In Preston Hollow, Lakewood, Kessler Park and Lake Highlands we check the driveway grade, the gate width, overhead branches and where the trailer can sit without blocking the caterer. We send photos of past placements so you can picture it, and we always set the steps toward the party and the hitch toward the street.

Heat is the big one for a Texas wedding. A June reception on open ground can still read 95 degrees at sunset, so we start the AC early and keep the rooms cold before the first guest walks in. For 150 to 300 guests with an open bar, a 5-Station usually fits. Bigger guest lists or long receptions get a 9-Station, or a 5-Station plus an ADA unit for grandparents and anyone who needs a ramp.

Straight answers

Placement, permits and ADA for temporary restroom trailers in Dallas

A party in your own backyard usually needs no permit for a restroom trailer. Public events are different. Under the City of Dallas special events program, an outdoor event expecting 100 or more people that uses portable restrooms needs a special event permit, on public or private property. The city asks for at least one restroom per 150 people with ADA access included, and applications are due 30 days ahead, or 60 days when streets close. We send planners a sizing letter they can attach to the permit file.

Long jobs often switch from tanks to city water. Dallas Water Utilities runs a portable fire hydrant meter program, and City Code Section 49-27 requires a city meter on the hydrant and an approved backflow device in the line. We work with your site team on the hookup so the trailer never runs dry on a busy day.

Waste is handled by the book. In Texas, chemical toilet waste counts as a regulated sludge, and only transporters registered with TCEQ under 30 TAC 312.142(a) may haul it. We pump our trailers on a set schedule and take the waste to approved facilities, never into a storm drain or onto the ground. On construction sites, our units also help general contractors meet the federal toilet rule in 29 CFR 1926.51.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, available for Dallas-area events

What we cover on ADA and venue access

  • ADA-accessible units with a self-contained ramp, wide door, grab bars, and turning room.
  • Guidance on where to place the trailer so it is easy to reach and easy to service.
  • Water and power sorted before delivery, with a generator staged when the site has no hookup.
  • Licensed and insured on every unit we put on the road.

One thing we always say plainly: some venues and city permits have their own rules on placement, accessibility, and event restrooms. Tell us your venue and we will help you plan around them, but confirm any permit requirements with the venue or the city as well.

More Dallas jobs for our private restroom trailer rentals

Three kinds of calls fill our Dallas schedule. Production crews need restrooms at a base camp with no building. Couples need them on a ranch, a vineyard lawn or a big backyard. Business owners need them the same day a water line fails. Each job looks different, and we plan each one differently.

The 5-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Dallas-area events

State Fair and Fair Park vendor areas

The State Fair of Texas ran September 25 to October 18, 2026, with more than two million visitors. Vendors, sponsors and staff areas behind the midway need clean restrooms away from the public lines, and we plan delivery around the fair’s gate schedule. Concert and show promoters with dates outside Dallas can add temporary Fort Worth restroom trailer rentals.

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for Dallas-area events

BMW Dallas Marathon hospitality tents

Race weekend is December 11 to 13, 2026, with the finish at Dallas City Hall Plaza. Sponsor tents and VIP areas near the finish line use our trailers so runners and guests skip the long portable toilet rows.

The 9-Station Restroom Trailer, our highest-capacity luxury unit, available for Dallas-area events

Home and restaurant remodels

When your only full bathroom is torn out for a remodel, a 2-Station in the driveway keeps the house livable for weeks. Restaurants under renovation use a larger unit so the dining room can stay open.

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for Dallas-area events

Corporate events and office parties

Company picnics, product launches and campus events from Uptown to Las Colinas want restrooms that look like the rest of the event. We match the unit to the headcount and park it out of the photos.

The ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer, with a self-contained wheelchair ramp, available for Dallas-area events

Long construction jobs

Big projects like the convention center rebuild and the I-30 Canyon work run for years. Project managers book an executive trailer for the site office so owners, inspectors and clients have a clean restroom on every visit.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, available for Dallas-area events

Church, school and graduation events

Outdoor services, homecoming games and graduation parties draw more people than a building’s restrooms can handle. An ADA unit plus a 5-Station covers most church grounds and school fields.

What ties these together is the guest experience. Nobody remembers a restroom that worked, but everybody remembers one that did not. Because our units sit staged across the region instead of a couple counties away, getting a luxury trailer to a Dallas date, even a last-minute one, is an ordinary ask here, not a scramble.

Temporary restroom trailers for Dallas water main breaks, outages and plumbing failures

A Lavatory 3-Station restroom trailer with two women's doors and one men's door in an office building parking lot

When a building loses water, it loses its restrooms in the same minute. During the January 2024 freeze, Dallas Water Utilities reported 35 main breaks and took 728 winter weather meter calls in five days, including a large break at Pearl Street and Woodall Rodgers Freeway. The city reminded owners that private plumbing between a building and its meter is theirs to fix, which can take days when every plumber in town is booked.

Breaks happen in summer too. In April 2025 a construction crew hit a gas line in the 300 block of S. St. Paul Street downtown, a water main burst soon after, and a 12 story building was evacuated. Nearby restaurants and shops lost pressure or closed for the day. A restroom trailer in the back lot lets a business keep its doors open while the repair crew works.

Ice storms bring the worst of it. In February 2021, Dallas kept safe drinking water, but Arlington, parts of Fort Worth, Southlake and Keller all went under boil notices, and burst pipes hit homes and businesses across the area. In January 2026 another ice storm closed roads for days. Churches, schools, apartment managers and restaurants call us when their own restrooms go down. The same fleet covers Arlington restroom trailer rentals next door.

Our emergency units are fully self contained. We fill the fresh tanks before we leave the yard, bring a generator if the power is out, and set a pump schedule so the trailer never fills up. Call our 24/7 line with the address and how many people need restrooms, and we will give you a delivery window on that first call.

What we bring

Why site contractors budget for a VIP restroom trailer first in Dallas

Two Lavatory 9-Station restroom trailers parked side by side at a covered loading dock

Think about what a Dallas event actually costs to put on. The venue, the catering, the flowers, the photographer, the hours of planning. Then picture a guest walking out of a hot plastic box in the middle of all of it. Nobody plans for that. The restroom is the one vendor every single guest uses, often more than once, and it is the detail they quietly judge the whole event by.

A luxury restroom trailer protects everything else you spent on. It reads like an extension of the venue, holds up through a full day of guests, and gives people one less thing to remember for the wrong reason. Set against the total cost of the day, it is a small line item that quietly carries a lot of the impression, which is exactly why the hosts who have been burned once book the trailer first the next time.

Everyday cases

From your call to a portable restroom trailer running in Dallas

Booking should be the easy part of planning an event. Four steps, a straight answer, and one team that owns the whole thing.

1

Tell us about the event

Share your date, your rough guest count, and the venue. That is enough for us to point you to the right size trailer.

2

We match the trailer and site

We pair you with a unit, confirm whether the site has water and power or needs a generator, and pin the exact spot so delivery is one clean trip.

3

Delivery and setup

We arrive on your schedule, level and set the trailer, connect it, and stock it so it is ready and fresh before the first guest.

4

Enjoy it, we handle pickup

The trailer holds up through your whole event while our line stays open. When you are done, we come back and take it away.

How we price it

Planning notes for bathroom trailers at three kinds of Dallas events

The 2-Station Restroom Trailer, our compact luxury unit, available for Dallas-area events

Typical setup: a night shoot in Deep Ellum

When a crew shoots overnight on a closed block, we drop a VIP trailer on the base camp lot before call time and park it behind the talent trailers. We run power from the production’s distro or bring our own quiet generator, and we come back after wrap to pump and restock for the next day.

Typical setup: a 250 guest wedding on ranch land

For a tented reception on open pasture, we place a 5-Station on firm, level ground about 100 feet from the tent, with the doors facing the party. We set lights along the path, start the AC in the afternoon, and fill the fresh tanks so the couple never needs a hose hookup.

Typical setup: a restaurant after a water main break

When a restaurant loses water, we deliver a self contained 3-Station to the back lot the same day if we can, and set the steps on the side closest to the kitchen door. The staff and diners use it until the plumbers finish, and we pump it every few days.

Dallas neighborhoods served by our event restroom trailer rentals

A Lavatory 5-Station restroom trailer parked on green grass under big oak trees on open ranch land

We deliver across all of Dallas, from Downtown and Deep Ellum to Preston Hollow, Lake Highlands, Oak Cliff and Pleasant Grove. Our crews also cover Irving, Garland, Richardson, Plano, Mesquite, Grand Prairie and the rest of Dallas County, plus ranch and vineyard sites farther out. If your event is somewhere else, our full luxury restroom trailer fleet covers every state, and our restroom and shower locations across Texas list more cities near you. Planning a second event in Houston? We also book Houston luxury restroom trailer rentals from the same team. Give us an address and a date, and we will confirm the delivery window, often the same day.

We cover Dallas luxury restroom trailer rentals across Texas. Neighborhoods and towns we serve include Downtown, Deep Ellum, Uptown, Victory Park, Design District, Trinity Groves, Oak Lawn, Oak Cliff, Bishop Arts, Kessler Park, Preston Hollow, North Dallas, Lake Highlands, Lakewood, White Rock, Pleasant Grove, Fair Park, Red Bird, Irving, Garland, Richardson, Plano, Mesquite, Grand Prairie.

For a venue elsewhere in the state, start from the Texas restroom trailer page.

Uptown and Victory Park

High rise events, rooftop parties and launch nights near the American Airlines Center. Lots are tight, so we confirm the exact drop spot and load in time with the building.

Design District and Trinity Groves

Gallery openings, showroom events and photo shoots in converted warehouses. Many spaces have one small restroom, so a trailer in the side lot keeps the line short.

Lake Highlands and Casa Linda

Big backyards, pool parties and family weddings on quiet streets. We check HOA rules and set the trailer on the driveway to protect the lawn.

Pleasant Grove and Southeast Dallas

Church festivals, quinceaneras and family reunions on large lots. Our ADA unit makes it easy for older guests to join in.

Far North Dallas and Addison

Office parks, corporate picnics and community events near the Tollway. We plan around office hours and deliver before the first car arrives.

Red Bird and Mountain Creek

Open land, new construction and larger outdoor events in the southwest part of the city. Long driveways and soft ground get boards and a careful backing plan.

Most Dallas rentals can be delivered the same day, and our dispatch line answers 24/7 for last-minute and emergency dates.

What corporate planners ask about portable restroom trailers in Dallas

The 3-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Dallas-area events
What do I need for a long term restroom trailer rental on a Dallas construction job?

Tell us the start date, the crew size and how long the job will run. Most long jobs use a trailer for the site office and owner visits, with service once or twice a week. If the site has power and a water source, we hook up to both so the unit stays full, and on jobs that last months we can work with you on a hydrant meter. We bill long rentals on a simple monthly schedule.

When should I book a restroom trailer for a spring or fall wedding near Dallas?

Book as soon as you have a date and a venue. Spring and fall are the busy wedding seasons in North Texas, and popular Saturdays in April, May, October and November fill months ahead. A deposit holds your trailer, and you can change the unit size later if your guest count moves. Last minute bookings still work some weekends, so call even if your date is close.

How many restroom stations do I need for my guest count and event length?

Start with guests, hours and drinks. A 2-Station covers a backyard party of about 50 to 75 people, and a 5-Station handles about 150 to 450 guests, or 200 to 500 across a five hour event. A 9-Station covers about 400 to 900 guests. An open bar or a long reception moves you up a size, and we will check your numbers on the phone.

Do your trailers need a water hookup, or can they use onboard tanks?

They can do either. Each trailer has an onboard fresh water tank, from about 105 gallons on the smaller units to 200 gallons on the 5-Station and 9-Station, which covers most one day events with no hose at all. For long events or busy sites, a garden hose hookup keeps the tank full. Waste goes into a sealed holding tank that we pump on schedule.

Will one trailer be enough for a large festival, or do we need several?

Large crowds usually need more than one. For a festival or a fair with thousands of people, we place several trailers in banks near the busiest areas and add an ADA unit for each bank. The City of Dallas asks for at least one restroom per 150 people on permitted events, and we help you plan the count for your permit.

Can you bring an ADA accessible restroom trailer with a ramp?

Yes. Our ADA + 2 trailer has one women’s room, one men’s room and a large accessible unisex room with a built in ramp and handrails, built to federal ADA guidelines. It serves events of up to about 200 guests on its own, and it pairs well with a larger trailer for big crowds. We set the ramp on firm, level ground with a clear path to the door.

Is the trailer comfortable in Dallas summer heat and winter freezes?

Yes. Every trailer has roof air conditioning for hot days and heat for cold nights. In summer we start the AC early and park in shade when we can. On freeze nights we protect the water lines and tanks and plan service around icy roads so the restrooms keep working.

Where can the restroom trailer be parked on my property?

We need a fairly level spot about the size of a parking space plus room for the steps, usually 25 to 35 feet long. Driveways, firm grass and paved lots all work, and we use boards on soft ground. We also need a clear path for our truck, with no low branches or tight turns, and a power outlet within about 100 feet or room for a generator.

Can you park a trailer for an event in a downtown Dallas parking lot or garage?

Parking lots work well, garages usually do not. Most downtown garages have a clearance under 14 feet, and our trailers are taller than that with the AC units on top. We look at the lot on a map or in photos, confirm curb space and alley access, and schedule delivery before traffic picks up.

How fast can you deliver a restroom trailer after a water main break?

Call our 24/7 line with the address and how many people need restrooms. We keep units ready to roll and will give you a delivery window on that first call, often the same day. The trailer arrives with full fresh tanks and a generator if needed, so it works even when the building has no water or power.

Do film productions need anything special to book a restroom trailer in Dallas?

Send us the call sheet, the base camp address and the shoot days. We can deliver early, place the unit away from camera and generator noise, and plan a company move if you change locations. We provide insurance certificates for the production and the location owner.

A Dallas backyard wedding checklist for your restroom trailer

A backyard wedding feels simple until you count the bathrooms. Most homes have two or three, and they were never meant for 150 guests in four hours. A restroom trailer keeps people out of the house, protects your floors and gives guests a clean, cool place to step away. Here is the checklist we walk through with Dallas couples before the big day.

Start with the path from the street. Our trucks need a clear route from the road to the spot, with no low branches, tight turns or soft ground that will rut. In older parts of Dallas, like Lakewood and Kessler Park, big trees hang low over driveways. Measure the gate if the trailer needs to go into the back yard. Most of the time we set it on the driveway or the side yard, which is easier and safer.

What to ask before you book a restroom trailer for a Dallas film shoot

Production schedules change by the hour, and restrooms are one of the few things that can stop a set cold. If you manage locations or production for a shoot in Dallas, these are the questions to ask any restroom company before you sign.

Can they deliver before call time? Base camps often open at 5 a.m., and a trailer that shows up at 9 is no help. Ask for a delivery window in writing and a phone number that someone answers early in the morning.

How to keep a Dallas business open when the water goes out

A water outage closes a business faster than almost anything else. Without working restrooms, most restaurants, offices, clinics and schools cannot stay open. Here is how Dallas businesses can plan ahead, so a broken main or a frozen pipe does not cost a full week of sales.

First, know who fixes what. Dallas Water Utilities handles the meter and everything on the street side. The owner handles everything between the meter and the building. That means a private pipe break is your job to fix, and after a freeze the wait for a plumber can stretch for days.

What changes the cost of a restroom trailer rental in Dallas

Every quote we write is built from a few simple things. Knowing them up front helps you plan, and it helps you compare quotes from different companies on the same terms.

Trailer size comes first. A 2-Station for a backyard party is a different job than a 9-Station for a festival. Bigger trailers carry more water, more waste capacity and more stations, and they take a larger truck to move.

Big public events in Dallas need more planning than a private party. The city, the fire marshal and your guests all have a stake in where the restrooms go and how many you bring.

Start with the permit. The City of Dallas special events program requires a permit for outdoor events of 100 or more people that use portable restrooms. Apply at least 30 days before setup, or 60 days if you are closing streets. The permit asks for your restroom count, so plan it early.
