Why choose The Lavatory

The Lavatory: the Utah Valley authority on deluxe bathroom trailer rentals

Google, Tesla and BMW could hire anyone to take care of their guests. They have put those guests in our trailers, and so have Caesars Palace and the Golden State Warriors. Your Provo reception or company party gets the same deluxe units and the same trained crew those brands get. We own all of our more than 250 trailers, the largest luxury restroom trailer fleet in the Western U.S., so nobody hands your order to a stranger. We are licensed and insured, SAM.gov registered and A+ BBB rated. Call us now or request a quote, and we will hold your date while you plan the rest. Event hosts often add Provo mobile shower trailers for staff and performers.

Our own trailers and crew

We never pass your order to another company. The trailer that shows up at your door is ours, and so is the driver who levels it and walks you through it.

Ready for cold months

Every unit has heat on a thermostat, and for rentals that stretch into winter we add freeze protection before the trailer leaves the yard.

Quotes you can read

Delivery, setup, stocking and pickup are all listed on the quote, and extra service visits are agreed on before the event, not added after.

Canyon timing we plan for

The US-189 rebuild brings morning and overnight closures in Provo Canyon. We schedule canyon deliveries around UDOT’s posted closures and stage early when needed.

How it works

Brands, venues and productions that booked our deluxe restroom trailers

The companies that could rent anything still call us for restrooms, because a cheap plastic unit at a launch party or a shareholder event ruins everything the day is meant to say. The Lavatory has provided luxury restrooms for names like Google, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, eBay, and Target, for hospitality at Caesars Palace, and for pro sports including the Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Las Vegas Raiders.

The reason those bookings repeat is simple. A luxury restroom is the one vendor a guest uses and remembers, for better or worse, so the trailer has to be stocked, clean and working from the first guest to the last. That is how we run every unit in the fleet, and it is the same standard behind every Provo booking, from a backyard engagement party to a festival gate.

Three decades in event and equipment rental, running the largest luxury restroom trailer fleet in the Western U.S. Every unit ours, never a broker’s.

Inside the trailer

Temporary bathroom rentals for Provo home remodels and restaurant rebuilds

For a Provo reception we often pair a 5-Station with an ADA + 2, which gives a large open-house crowd plenty of rooms and gives older guests a ramp.

A Lavatory 2-Station bathroom trailer set on gravel among trees with yellow fall leaves

A bathroom remodel sounds small until the only full bathroom in the house is gone for three weeks. Once that room is torn down to the studs, a family of five ends up driving to a gas station before school every morning while the tile and plumbing crews work through their list. A 2-Station trailer in the driveway fixes the problem. The family gets a real flushing toilet, a sink with running water and a mirror, a few steps from the back door.

Basement finishes are the other common project in Utah Valley. When a crew adds a bedroom and bath downstairs, the plumbing tie-in often means the upstairs water gets shut off in stages. We set the trailer where the crew’s trucks and the dumpster can still get in and out. On the east bench in Oak Hills and Foothills, driveways are steep and turnarounds are tight. We look at photos of the lot first, then level the unit on blocks so the doors close cleanly and the floor feels solid underfoot.

Restaurants face a harder deadline. A kitchen or dining room rebuild along Center Street or University Avenue can close the public restrooms while the owner wants to keep takeout and patio seating going. Staff still need a restroom during the build. Every guest on the patio needs one too. We place a compact trailer near the back door or in the rear lot, turn the doors away from traffic, and time our service visits around the lunch rush.

If the remodel takes out the shower too, add one of our private shower trailers for Provo crews so nobody spends a month showering at the gym. On long rebuilds we set a service schedule that fits the job, weekly for most families and more often for a busy restaurant. Call us with the start date and the contractor’s timeline. We will build the rental around it and extend it if the job runs long.

Suite by suite: what a trailer gives you

Flushing china toilets

Real porcelain toilets with a foot flush, the same fixtures your guests use at home, not a chemical tank.

Running-water sinks

Stainless steel sinks with real running water, hand soap, and towels, fed by onboard water tanks so you are covered even without a hookup.

Climate control

Air conditioning for a summer afternoon and heat for a cold evening, so the trailer stays comfortable no matter the season.

Framed mirrors and lighting

Oversized framed vanity mirrors, warm interior lighting, and finished flooring that reads like a venue restroom, not a jobsite.

Fully stocked, always fresh

Premium toilet paper, towels, soap, and fragrance, restocked and pumped so the unit stays fresh from the first guest to the last.

Power and water handled

Onboard water tanks plus a generator when your site has no hookup, so the trailer runs anywhere from a vineyard to an open field.

Full specifications for every unit are on the 5-Station spec page and its four sister pages, or call and we will spec it to your Provo guest count.

The full restroom trailer fleet is one page over; below is how we size a unit to a Utah guest count.

Short version

An 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe and an ADA + 6 configuration are also in the fleet for big productions and larger guest counts. If you are between sizes, we spec it to your guest count rather than nudge you into more trailer than the day calls for.

Statewide coverage runs through our Utah restroom trailer hub, with units sized to the guest count.

Other temporary restroom trailer rentals we handle in Provo

Three kinds of jobs fill most of our Provo calendar. Homes and restaurants lose their restrooms to a remodel. Couples host receptions on farms, ranches and backyard lawns. Festivals and concerts pack downtown streets and stadium lots, and each of these jobs calls for its own trailer size and service plan.

A Lavatory restroom trailer on a dirt lot at the edge of a lake, with mountains across the water

BYU and UVU campus events

Graduation weekends, alumni tents and department events bring big crowds to campus lawns, and we plan placement and power with the campus event team so the trailer fits the site plan.

A Lavatory restroom trailer on a wide lawn with a historic brick building in the distance

Company parties at Provo and Orem offices

Summer parties and customer events at office parks need restrooms that match the catering, and a deluxe trailer beside the tent keeps guests out of the building.

A Lavatory 3-Station restroom trailer next to a timber pavilion at a ranch venue

Film and TV crews in Provo Canyon

Productions shooting in the canyon or along Utah Lake need clean restrooms at base camp, so we set units where cast and crew can reach them between setups.

Water outages and burst lines

When a church, school or office loses water or a sewer line backs up, a trailer on the lot keeps the building open. Call our 24/7 line and we dispatch right away.

The 5-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Provo-area events

Airport and Utah City job offices

Long commercial builds, like the Provo Airport terminal expansion and new work at Utah City in Vineyard, bring owners and inspectors to the site. A small deluxe trailer by the job office gives them a clean restroom for months.

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for Provo-area events

Reunions at Utah Lake State Park

Family reunions and church activities near the marina on West Center Street draw large groups, and a trailer next to the pavilion keeps the line short and the kids close.

What ties these together is the guest experience. Nobody remembers a restroom that worked, but everybody remembers one that did not. Because our units sit staged across the region instead of a couple counties away, getting a luxury trailer to a Provo date, even a last-minute one, is an ordinary ask here, not a scramble.

Daily reality

Booking a luxury restroom trailer for Provo in four steps

Booking should be the easy part of planning an event. Four steps, a straight answer, and one team that owns the whole thing.

1

Tell us about the event

Share your date, your rough guest count, and the venue. That is enough for us to point you to the right size trailer.

2

We match the trailer and site

We pair you with a unit, confirm whether the site has water and power or needs a generator, and pin the exact spot so delivery is one clean trip.

3

Delivery and setup

We arrive on your schedule, level and set the trailer, connect it, and stock it so it is ready and fresh before the first guest.

4

Enjoy it, we handle pickup

The trailer holds up through your whole event while our line stays open. When you are done, we come back and take it away.

VIP restroom trailer rentals for Provo festivals, concerts and races

A Lavatory 3-Station restroom trailer next to a timber pavilion at a ranch venue

Provo’s biggest crowd shows up every Fourth of July. America’s Freedom Festival puts on about 30 events over the summer, and its Grand Parade draws more than 350,000 people along University Avenue and Center Street. That night, Stadium of Fire fills LaVell Edwards Stadium, which seats 62,073. Sponsors, performers and VIP guests expect a real restroom behind the tents, away from the crowd.

Timing is the hard part. Streets close early for the parade, so we stage VIP and hospitality units the day before, not the morning of. We place them inside the fence line where our service truck can reach them without crossing the route. Hospitality tents at a big show get a 5-Station or larger. Green rooms and stage crews get their own smaller unit.

Downtown events come in smaller sizes too. The Rooftop Concert Series came back in 2026 after six years off, with free Friday night shows at Nu Skin Plaza on Center Street from May through September. FilmQuest, a genre film festival, is set for downtown Provo from October 22 to 31, 2026. A 2-Station or 3-Station in a nearby lot gives the band, the crew and the volunteers a place of their own.

Races and outdoor fairs fill out the season. The Utah Valley Marathon finishes at the Utah County Courthouse park downtown, with a field capped at 2,000 runners plus the families and volunteers waiting for them. For a finish area like that, we set units on pavement near the food tents and keep them serviced through the morning. Our pump truck reaches them from a side street, so it never has to cross the course. Tell us your crowd size and site map, and we will send back a placement plan you can hand to your team.

Why it matters

Site planning and ADA access for luxury bathroom trailers in Provo

On your own property for a private party, a restroom trailer usually needs no city permit. Size changes that. Provo City requires a special event permit for any event on city property, including parks, city parking lots, streets and sidewalks. It also requires one for any event on private property inside the city with more than 300 people expected. Apply at least 90 days out, since review takes at least 14 working days.

Any setup that touches the public right of way, like a travel lane, shoulder or sidewalk, needs a detailed traffic control plan that follows Chapter 6 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Downtown events also need an approval letter from the Downtown Provo organization. Provo311 answers questions at 3-1-1 inside the city. Homeowners should also read their HOA rules, since some limit how long a trailer can sit in a driveway.

Waste rules are the part most first-time renters never think about. Under Utah rule R317-4, a holding tank must be pumped at regular intervals and emptied only at a facility the regulators approve. The pumping itself falls under rule R317-550 for approved pumpers, and the Utah County Health Department has the final say on disposal locally. We handle all of it, so nothing from your trailer ends up anywhere it should not.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, available for Provo-area events

Accessibility and setup, handled

  • ADA-accessible units with a self-contained ramp, wide door, grab bars, and turning room.
  • Guidance on where to place the trailer so it is easy to reach and easy to service.
  • Water and power sorted before delivery, with a generator staged when the site has no hookup.
  • Licensed and insured on every unit we put on the road.

One thing we always say plainly: some venues and city permits have their own rules on placement, accessibility, and event restrooms. Tell us your venue and we will help you plan around them, but confirm any permit requirements with the venue or the city as well.

Everyday cases

Why site contractors budget for a portable restroom trailer first in Provo

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for Provo-area events

Think about what a Provo event actually costs to put on. The venue, the catering, the flowers, the photographer, the hours of planning. Then picture a guest walking out of a hot plastic box in the middle of all of it. Nobody plans for that. The restroom is the one vendor every single guest uses, often more than once, and it is the detail they quietly judge the whole event by.

A luxury restroom trailer protects everything else you spent on. It reads like an extension of the venue, holds up through a full day of guests, and gives people one less thing to remember for the wrong reason. Set against the total cost of the day, it is a small line item that quietly carries a lot of the impression, which is exactly why the hosts who have been burned once book the trailer first the next time. Service schedules change on a long rental, and our post on long-term bathroom trailer rentals explains how.

Where we go

Delivery, setup and service for luxury bathroom trailers across Provo

The 9-Station Restroom Trailer, our highest-capacity luxury unit, available for Provo-area events

We handle the whole thing, not just the drop-off. Our team delivers the trailer, levels and sets it, connects water and power or stages a generator, and stocks it before your first guest arrives. When the event wraps, we come back and haul it away. You never touch the logistics. That part is on us.

For longer or higher-traffic bookings in Provo, we offer an on-site attendant who keeps the trailer stocked and spotless through the event, and we pump and refresh the unit so it holds up from the first guest to the last. That always-fresh standard is the difference between a restroom guests use once and one they are glad to use all night.

How we price it

Our restroom trailers, and the kinds of events we set them up for. Backyard weddings, vineyard receptions, corporate lots, film sets, and the festival gates where the lines have to move.

Luxury bathroom trailer rentals for Utah County ranch, farm and backyard receptions

A Lavatory restroom trailer on a dirt lot at the edge of a lake, with mountains across the water

Weddings bring us more restroom calls than any other kind of event, and Utah County receptions have their own shape. Many run as open houses, where guests come and go over two or three hours to go through the line, grab a treat and visit. Guest lists often reach into the hundreds with that style. People do not all arrive at once, so the restroom line builds and fades all evening instead of peaking after one toast.

Outdoor settings drive most of our reception work here. Couples book pavilions at Vivian Park up Provo Canyon, a Utah County park since 1974, and at city parks through Provo’s pavilion reservations. Others host on a family farm in Spanish Fork or Mapleton, or on a big backyard lawn on the bench. A park restroom across the grass works for a picnic. A bride in a long dress wants a lit room with a mirror right behind the tent.

For an open house we usually start with a 5-Station and size to the busiest hour, not the full invite list. A seated dinner is a different job, because everyone heads for the restroom at the same time after the meal, so we add stations or split the load between two smaller units. Add the ADA + 2 when grandparents or anyone with a walker is coming. Its ramp and wide room make the night easier for the guests who need them, and it sits comfortably next to the main unit.

Placement on a farm or ranch takes planning. We check the gate width and whether the ground will hold a loaded trailer after the field has been watered. West of I-15 near Utah Lake the soil stays soft in spring, so we set on gravel or plates instead of wet turf. We level the unit, turn on the air an hour before guests arrive and make sure the path from the tent is lit. Call us once you have a date, because June and September Saturdays fill early in Utah Valley.

In practice

Typical Provo setups for our temporary restroom trailers

The 3-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Provo-area events

Planning a backyard open house in Grandview

When a family expects a steady stream of guests over an evening, we place a 5-Station at the side of the driveway, run the cord along the fence and turn on the air before the line starts. If the guest list is large, we schedule a mid-event restock.

Planning a restaurant remodel downtown

When a restaurant closes its restrooms for a rebuild but keeps the patio open, we set a 2-Station in the rear lot, point the doors toward the patio path and service it on the owner’s slow days.

Planning for a burst line at a meetinghouse

When a church building loses water before a busy Sunday, we bring a trailer that works from its own tanks and place it near the side door. The building stays usable while the plumber works.

Provo neighborhoods where we place portable bathroom trailers

A Lavatory restroom trailer on a wide lawn with a historic brick building in the distance

We deliver across Provo and all of Utah Valley, from Lehi and Saratoga Springs in the north to Payson and Santaquin in the south, and up the canyon to Heber City and Midway. Provo is part of our Utah restroom trailer rentals network, and the same crews handle Salt Lake City luxury restroom trailers about 45 miles north on I-15. Send us an address and a date, and we will confirm your delivery window on the same call.

We cover Provo luxury restroom trailer rentals across Utah. Neighborhoods and towns we serve include Downtown Provo, Joaquin, Maeser, Grandview, North Park, Riverbottoms, Edgemont, Oak Hills, Foothills, Lakeview, Fort Utah, Provo Bay, East Bay, Orem, Vineyard, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lehi, Springville, Mapleton, Spanish Fork, Payson, Provo Canyon.

Planning an event beyond the city line? See our full restroom trailer coverage across Utah.

Downtown, Joaquin and Maeser

The Central District mixes older homes, student housing and busy streets, so we plan street-side placement carefully and often bring the compact 2-Station.

Oak Hills, Foothills and Wasatch

The East District climbs toward Rock Canyon, with steep driveways and tight turnarounds, so we review photos first so the right size trailer goes up the hill.

Lakeview, Fort Utah and Provo Bay

The West District is flat, but the ground near the lake stays soft in spring, so we set on gravel or plates, and this side has room for big tents and reunions.

Riverbottoms, Edgemont and Rock Canyon

North District lots are often large enough for a backyard reception with a tent, and we back the trailer in along the side yard and keep it close to the lights.

Grandview, North Park and Rivergrove

The Northwest District has older, closer-set homes near the Provo Recreation Center, where driveway space is tight, so we measure before choosing between the 2-Station and 3-Station.

East Bay

This commercial flat south of downtown along I-15 holds shops, yards and job sites, and contractors there often rent deluxe units for job offices and long builds.

Planned rentals are usually scheduled the same week, and we do our best to cover last-minute Provo dates when a trailer is nearby. See also: Reno restroom trailer rentals.

Questions we get about restroom trailers in Provo

The 5-Station Restroom Trailer, available for Provo-area events
Is a restroom trailer a good fit for a long remodel or construction job in Provo?

It is, and many of our rentals last weeks or months. We rent by the week or month for home remodels, restaurant rebuilds and commercial jobs, and for a long rental we set a regular pumping and restocking schedule, and we add freeze protection if the job runs into winter. On bigger sites, a clean trailer by the job office gives owners and inspectors a better option than the crew units.

Where do I check permits, HOA rules or venue rules before the trailer shows up?

Start with the venue or your HOA. They usually have the tightest rules on placement and how long a trailer can stay. For events on Provo city property, or private events over 300 people, the city’s special event permit applies, and Provo311 can point you to the right office. Canyon parks on county land follow Utah County Parks rules, so ask the park office about vehicle access. We send trailer sizes and placement notes you can attach to any application.

What happens with cleaning and restocking during my reception?

We deliver the trailer clean and fully stocked with paper, soap and towels, and for most receptions that supply lasts the whole night. For large events or multi-day festivals, we schedule restocks and cleaning between busy periods, and we can add an attendant who keeps the rooms tidy while guests are there. Ask about an attendant when you call, and we will tell you if your guest count calls for one.

When will you deliver and pick up the trailer for a Saturday wedding?

Most weekend events get a delivery the day before, so the trailer is level, powered and cool well before guests arrive. Pickup is usually the next business day. Around the Fourth of July, when the parade closes streets downtown, we deliver earlier in the week. Canyon venues are scheduled around UDOT’s posted closures on US-189.

How is a luxury restroom trailer different from a porta potty?

A porta potty is a plastic box over a holding tank with no running water. Our trailers have flushing china toilets and sinks with running water, plus mirrors and real lighting, so they look and work like a restroom inside a building. Air conditioning and heat keep the rooms comfortable in any season. The women’s and men’s rooms are separate, with their own doors and steps, so guests in a dress or a suit walk into something that feels like a nice home bathroom.

Do I need a generator, or will a regular outlet work?

Most of our trailers need only one standard 20 amp, 120 volt circuit. The 2-Station, 3-Station and 5-Station each use one circuit, and the 5-Station needs it within 100 feet. The 9-Station and the ADA + 2 need two circuits, and if your farm, park or pavilion has no outlet close by, we bring a quiet generator and set it away from guests.

Will one trailer be enough for a big reception or a festival crowd?

It depends on your busiest hour, not the total guest list. One 9-Station covers a very large reception, but a festival or a stadium-sized crowd needs two or more units spread across the grounds so nobody has to walk the length of the site to find one. We spread them out so lines stay short on both sides of the site, and we keep one near the VIP or family area. For a large open house, we look at how many people come through the line in the first hour.

Can the trailer last a two or three day festival without pumping?

Sometimes, but we plan it instead of guessing. A 5-Station holds 520 gallons of waste and a 9-Station holds 750, which goes a long way for one evening. For multi-day events we schedule pumping and fresh water refills early in the morning, before the crowd returns. All waste goes to an approved disposal site through an approved pumper, as Utah rules require.

Do your trailers work for a winter wedding in Provo?

They do. Every unit has heat on a thermostat, and we add freeze protection for cold-weather rentals so the water lines stay open even when the overnight low drops well below freezing. The bench and the canyons get colder than the valley floor, so we plan power and pumping around the forecast. Tell us the date and the site, and we will explain exactly how we keep the unit warm.

Can you get a trailer up Provo Canyon to Vivian Park or a mountain venue?

We can. Canyon deliveries are timed around UDOT’s work on US-189, which brings closures for blasting and paving. Before we pick a size, we confirm the gate, the grade and the turnaround at your site. A 2-Station or 3-Station fits many canyon spots that a larger trailer cannot reach.

Do you serve Orem, Lehi and the rest of Utah County?

We do. We deliver across Utah Valley, from Lehi and Eagle Mountain down to Payson and Santaquin, plus Heber City and Midway over the canyon. Our service area covers every state, so a Provo event is close to home for our crews. Give us the address and the date, and we will confirm the delivery window and the right trailer size before you hang up.

Provo private restroom trailer guides: sizing, canyon delivery, winter rentals and quotes

Deeper reading for hosts and planners, from sizing a trailer to your guest count to keeping guests comfortable through a long event. Tap any guide to open it.

How many restroom stations a Utah County open-house reception needs

Most sizing charts assume a seated dinner. Everyone arrives at once, sits through the meal and heads for the restroom in one wave after the toasts. An open-house reception works differently. Guests drift in across a two or three hour window, go through the line to greet the couple, grab a treat and then head home to put the kids to bed. That spread changes the math, and it is why a guest list that looks huge on paper often needs less than people expect.

Start with the busiest hour, not the total count. For an open house, the busiest hour is usually the first one, when family, ward members and out-of-town friends arrive together. If 400 people are invited and you expect about half of them in that first hour, plan for 200 guests at the peak. That puts you well inside the range of a single 5-Station.

2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design

Delivering a restroom trailer up Provo Canyon during the US-189 rebuild

Provo Canyon is one of the prettiest places in Utah Valley to hold a reception, a family reunion or a company picnic. Vivian Park has pavilions and a fishing pond along the Provo River. Farther up, private venues and cabins sit along the highway toward Deer Creek. The drive is short. The planning is not. US-189 is in the middle of a major rebuild.

UDOT is widening US-189 in the canyon to two lanes in each direction. The project also improves access to Deer Creek Reservoir and adds wildlife fencing, with completion expected in late 2027. Crews have been cutting into the hillside for the future northbound lanes, and southbound work started in summer 2026. That means lane shifts, one-way traffic and closures that change from week to week.

UDOT Traffic closures and restrictions

Planning a winter restroom trailer rental in Provo

Winter weddings, holiday parties and cold-weather construction all need restrooms, and a Provo winter is hard on plumbing. January averages a high of about 32 degrees and a low near 15. The valley floor sees roughly 43 to 46 inches of snow a year, and the bench and canyons get more. A trailer that works fine in September can freeze in January if nobody plans for it.

Heat is the first line of defense. Every one of our trailers has a heater on a thermostat, and in cold weather we keep it on around the clock instead of only during the event. That warmth keeps the rooms comfortable for guests and protects the pipes, and we also winter-proof the fresh water lines and fittings before the unit ever leaves our yard. Cold is manageable.

What changes the quote on a restroom trailer rental in Utah Valley

We do not post prices, because two rentals that look alike on paper can be very different jobs. A backyard party in Orem and a canyon reception up US-189 might use the same trailer, but one takes an hour and the other takes a planned day. These are the things that actually move a quote, so you can compare companies fairly.

Trailer size is the biggest factor. A 2-Station and a 9-Station are different machines, with different tanks, towing needs and service time. Picking the right size for your busiest hour, rather than the largest one available, is the easiest way to keep the quote in line.
