Why The Lavatory

Why Colorado chooses our luxury restroom trailers for every kind of event and project

A Lavatory 2-Station restroom trailer with men's and women's doors and steel stairs, set on a dirt lot among tall pines with traffic cones around it

Colorado asks more of a restroom than most states do. A wedding on a foothills ranch sits at 7,000 feet with no sewer line and a gravel drive. A Denver street festival has to show every toilet on its site plan before the city signs off. A job site in Weld County runs through hail in June and single digit mornings in January. A film crew in the San Juans needs clean restrooms an hour from the nearest town. One trailer has to handle all of it. Ours do.

Every unit we send carries its own fresh water and a large waste tank, runs heat and air conditioning on a thermostat, and sits level on its own jacks. That means it works on a paved lot downtown or on a pasture with nothing nearby. Our dispatch team plans the Denver metro, the Pikes Peak region, Northern Colorado, the mountain corridor and the Western Slope as one calendar, so the right size reaches the right site on time.

Many Colorado customers tried a plastic unit once. They did not try it twice. Guests notice the difference the moment they open the door: real lighting, a real sink, a lock that works and a room that is warm in October and cool in July. Planners notice that our crew shows up when promised and handles setup, service and pickup without being chased.

Our own trailers, our own crew

Every deluxe restroom trailer on your Colorado site comes from our fleet of over 250 units and is set by people who work for us. We never hand your job to an outside hauler. Every unit is inspected before it leaves. One team and one phone number carry the job from quote to pickup.

A guest bathroom, not a porta potty

China toilets with foot flush. Stainless sinks with hot and cold water, framed mirrors, LED lighting and doors that lock. A Lavatory trailer feels like the restroom inside a nice venue, which is what your guests expect at a ranch wedding or a corporate party.

Warm at 10 degrees, cool at 95

Each cabin runs heat and air conditioning on a thermostat. On a January morning at the stock show grounds the inside stays comfortable, and on a 95 degree July afternoon in Grand Junction it stays cool. Tanks and lines are protected for freezing nights.

Want floor plans and tank sizes before you call? Each trailer has a spec page, including the 8-Station private stall restroom trailer for Colorado weddings that large receptions favor and the ADA + 6 accessible bathroom trailer that permitted public events often need.

The companies that could rent anything still call us for restrooms, because a cheap plastic unit at a launch party or a shareholder event ruins everything the day is meant to say. The Lavatory has provided luxury restrooms for names like Google, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, eBay, and Target, for hospitality at Caesars Palace, and for pro sports including the Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Statewide coverage

Where we place restroom trailers across Colorado, region by region

We serve the whole state, from the Denver metro to the high valleys and the Western Slope. These are the regions that keep our Colorado schedule full, each with its own roads, ground, weather and kind of event. Give us the address and the date, and we will match the trailer and the delivery window to the site.

Denver metro and the Front Range core

The Denver metro keeps more of our Colorado trailers busy than any other region. The National Western Stock Show drew a record 750,039 people to north Denver in January 2026, Red Rocks hosted 236 shows in 2025, and summer brings street festivals, races and neighborhood fairs from Cherry Creek to Five Points. Contractors keep units on job sites across Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton and the airport corridor, and backyard receptions fill weekends in Littleton, Highlands Ranch and Parker. Portable restroom trailers here often go on tight downtown lots or into permitted park space, so we plan placement around the site map, stairs, ramps and the truck's turning room.

Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region

El Paso County mixes large outdoor events with a steady base of military, aerospace and construction work. The city's special events office recommends two toilets for every 250 guests with at least a tenth of them accessible, which is a useful starting point for park events, races and tournaments. Weddings in Black Forest, Monument and the foothills west of town often need a temporary bathroom trailer. The venue house usually has one or two bathrooms. That is not enough. The Pikes Peak altitude also matters: guests drink more water up here, so tanks fill faster than the guest count suggests.

Boulder County and Northern Colorado

Boulder, Longmont, Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley bring university events, brewery festivals, farm weddings and some of the largest construction projects in the state, including the 300 acre Westside entertainment district under way in Greeley. Ranch and barn venues along the foothills are popular from June through the aspen season. Weld County oil and gas pads and pipeline work need portable restroom trailers that run for weeks on open ground with a set pumping schedule.

The I-70 mountain corridor and resort towns

Summit, Eagle, Pitkin and Routt counties host summer festivals, mountain weddings, resort events and lodge renovations, often at 8,000 feet or higher. The GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival all draw crowds into towns with limited fixed restrooms. Mountain sites can mean narrow drives, sharp turns, snow on the ground into June and traffic holds on I-70, so we confirm gate width, grade and parking before the truck leaves and plan the delivery window around the pass weather.

Grand Junction and the Western Slope

Mesa County and the orchard and vineyard country around Palisade bring harvest festivals, winery weddings, river events and a growing list of construction jobs, from new retail to workforce housing. The Palisade Peach Festival fills Riverbend Park every August. Summer afternoons here run hotter and drier than Denver, so air conditioning and a planned water supply matter for long outdoor days. See our luxury restroom trailer rentals in Grand Junction.

Pueblo, Southern Colorado and the San Luis Valley

Pueblo hosts the Colorado State Fair, which drew more than half a million visitors over eleven days in 2026, and the new long-rail steel mill there keeps a large industrial workforce busy. Farther south and west, ranch and farm events, crane festival weekends in Monte Vista and river towns along the Arkansas need restrooms where the nearest public facility is miles away. Our self-contained trailers fit that kind of site well.

Eastern Plains and rural Colorado

From Limon and Burlington to Sterling and Lamar, county fairs, rodeos, harvest crews and wind and solar projects run on open ground with long distances between towns. We schedule service visits ahead, ask about cattle guards, ditches and road surfaces, and size the waste tank so a unit can run longer between pump outs when the site is remote.

The fleet

Restroom trailer sizes we rent in Colorado, from 2 to 9 stations

Seven luxury restroom trailers cover nearly every Colorado request, from a backyard party of 60 to a fairground crowd in the thousands. The guest counts below assume an event of about four to five hours. Altitude, an open bar, hot afternoons and long shifts all push the count up, so we size each order with you instead of guessing.

The 2-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

2-Station Restroom Trailer

One women's room and one men's room in a compact trailer for up to about 150 guests. It fits a driveway, a side yard or a small ranch lot, so it is the common pick for home receptions, memorials and small company events along the Front Range.

The 3-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

3-Station Restroom Trailer

Two women's rooms and a men's room for up to about 225 guests. Colorado hosts book it for graduation parties, church picnics, golf outings and mountain cabin gatherings where the house bathrooms cannot keep up.

The 5-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

5-Station Restroom Trailer

Three stalls and two sinks for women, plus a stall, a urinal and a sink for men. It serves 150 to 450 guests with 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank, and it is the size most Colorado wedding receptions end up choosing.

The 8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer

Eight private unisex rooms, each with its own toilet, urinal and sink, for 400 to 600 guests. Each door opens to the outside, so lines move fast at formal dinners, brand events and resort weddings and nobody shares a wall with a stranger.

The 9-Station Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

9-Station Restroom Trailer

Five stalls and two sinks for women, two stalls, two urinals and a sink for men, sized for 400 to 900 guests. Two climate units and a 750 gallon waste tank carry it through long festival days and big tournament weekends.

The ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer

Separate women's and men's rooms, plus an accessible unisex room reached by its own ramp. It suits events up to about 200 guests or crews up to about 30 workers and holds 210 gallons of fresh water.

The ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer, available for rent across Colorado

ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer

Four men's stations, two women's stations and an accessible room with a ramp, built to federal accessibility standards. It covers public events and crews up to about 300 people when accessible restrooms are written into the permit.

Not sure which size fits? Send us the guest count, the hours, the elevation if you know it and whether the bar is open. We will size it honestly, even when that means a smaller trailer than you planned.

Sizing guide

How many guests each unit serves, and the math behind our advice

A Lavatory 2-Station restroom trailer under a pine tree in a paved lot beside a mountain lake, with two people near picnic tables on the shore and boats on the water

Every Colorado quote starts from the same few numbers: guest count, event length, alcohol, season, elevation and how long the trailer stays. These are the working figures behind our recommendations, plus the public guidelines planners here are asked about most.

Up to about 150 guests

The 2-Station unit carries 105 gallons of fresh water and a 300 gallon waste tank and runs on one 20 amp, 120 volt circuit. It handles backyard receptions, celebrations of life and team gatherings of 80 to 150 people over an afternoon or evening.

150 to 450 guests

The 5-Station unit is 14 feet 6 inches in the box and about 20 feet with the tongue, with 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank. Most Colorado weddings of 200 to 350 guests land here.

400 to 900 guests

The 9-Station runs two climate units on two 20 amp circuits and holds 750 gallons of waste. The 8-Station Private Stall carries 400 gallons of fresh water and a 1,000 gallon waste tank for 400 to 600 guests who want private rooms.

Public events and the 2 per 250 guideline

Colorado Springs recommends two toilets for every 250 attendees with at least 10 percent accessible, and the state's recreation area rule starts at one toilet per 100 people in crowded areas. For a 2,500 person park festival that points to roughly 20 fixtures, which two 9-Station trailers plus an ADA + 6 cover with room to spare.

Job sites and long rentals

Federal rule 29 CFR 1926.51 calls for one toilet for 20 or fewer workers, then one toilet and one urinal per 40 workers as the crew grows. The ADA + 2 covers crews up to about 30, and a 5-Station handles about 60 with a weekly or twice weekly pump out.

Altitude, heat and the open bar

People drink more water at elevation and on hot afternoons, and an open bar does the same, so tanks fill faster than a sea level guest count predicts. Above 8,000 feet, or for an all day event in July, we move up one size or add a service visit.

Space, ground and access

Plan on about 12 to 14 feet of width with stairs or ramps out and 20 to 35 feet of length, depending on the unit. The spot needs firm, fairly level ground and a clear path for the truck. In the mountains we also ask about grade, tight turns and low branches.

Where they work

Weddings, festivals, job sites and more: how Colorado puts our restroom trailers to work

Our Colorado bookings cover nearly every kind of gathering and project. These are the ones we see most, and each comes with its own size, placement and service plan.

Mountain, ranch and backyard weddings

Colorado couples love open views and old barns. Those places rarely have enough bathrooms. A 5-Station or 8-Station Private Stall near the reception tent gives guests heated or cooled rooms with real sinks and mirrors. Peak season runs from June through the aspen weeks of late September, and the best dates go early, so we suggest booking as soon as the venue is set.

Festivals, fairs, races and concerts

From county fairs on the plains to mountain music weekends and city street festivals, crowds outgrow fixed restrooms fast. We set banks of units so lines split, place an accessible trailer close to the main walkway, and pump between peak sessions so the trailers stay clean through the last set.

Construction and industrial sites

Builders working the Denver metro, Northern Colorado and the Western Slope keep a temporary bathroom trailer on site for months. A clean, heated restroom with running water helps keep crews on the job through winter, and we adjust the service schedule as the head count changes.

Corporate events, film and TV

Brand launches, company picnics, golf tournaments and production base camps need restrooms that match the rest of the event. Productions filming under the state's film incentive use our trailers at remote locations where the nearest building is a long walk or a drive away.

Emergencies, wildfire and outages

A broken water main can shut a building's restrooms in minutes. Wildfire evacuations do the same to a whole town. Self-contained trailers keep shelters, staging yards and clinics running when that happens. Our 24/7 line takes emergency orders, and we deliver with full fresh water so the unit works the moment it is level.

Sports, tournaments and stadium lots

Youth soccer weekends, baseball tournaments, ski area events and stadium tailgate lots draw crowds for hours at a time. Trailers with separate men's and women's sides keep lines short between games, and the ADA units keep everyone covered.

Memorials, reunions and private parties

One bathroom is never enough for a crowd at home. Family reunions in mountain cabins, milestone birthdays, graduations and celebrations of life all go better with a deluxe restroom trailer in the driveway. A 2-Station or 3-Station fits most driveways and side yards.

Tell us what you are planning. Call (720) 500-6612 or request a quote, and most quotes go out the same day.

Weather plan

Colorado weather plan for snow, hail, wind and summer heat

A Lavatory 9-Station restroom trailer parked on packed snow beside a timber lodge with an outdoor staircase at a high mountain site

Colorado weather can change in an hour. Our plan starts there. Denver averages around 60 inches of snow a year, the mountains get far more, and the Front Range sees well over a hundred freeze and thaw cycles a season. Every trailer runs a furnace on a thermostat, and in cold months we protect the water system, start the heat before guests arrive and ask you to keep a clear, plowed path to the doors.

The Front Range sits in Hail Alley, and spring and early summer storms can drop large hail with little warning. We avoid parking units under dead limbs, set them on firm ground facing away from the prevailing wind where we can, and use leveling jacks and wheel chocks so they stay put. On exposed ridges and open plains, where gusts above 40 miles an hour are common, we take extra care with placement.

Then comes summer. Denver logged 28 days at or above 90 degrees in July 2026, and the Western Slope runs hotter still. Air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable, and for all day events we plan extra water and a service visit. At high elevation the sun is strong and people dehydrate faster, which shows up as heavier restroom use than the guest count suggests.

Late summer brings wildfire smoke. If a fire, a closure or a storm affects your site, we will call you, secure or move the trailer as needed, and get it back to work once the roads are safe. Emergency orders go through the same 24/7 line.

Booking for a snowy month, hail season or a July heat wave? Call (720) 500-6612 or request a quote and we will plan the trailer around the forecast.

How it works

Booking, delivery, service and pickup, step by step

A Lavatory accessible restroom trailer with a long aluminum ramp and rails on a dirt job site, with an excavator behind the fence

1. Call or request a quote

Tell us the date, the address, the guest count and the hours. Our line is answered 24/7, and most quotes go out the same day.

2. We size it and check the site

We match the trailer to your crowd and look at the ground, slope, gate width, elevation, power and water. Mountain drives and gated job sites get extra care. We ask for photos, or visit, before we commit to a spot.

3. Delivery and setup

Our crew delivers, levels the trailer, connects power and water where available, starts the heat or air conditioning and stocks paper, soap, towels and fragrance. Setup is done well before the first guest walks up.

4. Service and pickup

For multi-day events and long job sites we restock and pump on a set schedule. When the work wraps up we pull the trailer and leave the site as we found it.

Before delivery day

Permits, health rules and placement in Colorado

Empty rows of seating at Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Morrison, with the stage, red rock walls and the plains toward Denver behind

A portable restroom trailer on private property for a private event usually needs no permit of its own, though your venue, HOA or county may have conditions. Events on public land are different. Denver's Office of Special Events asks for applications 60 days before setup, and its site plan has to show where the toilets, generators and accessible routes will go. The city will not accept an application less than 30 days before setup, so plan early. Colorado Springs routes park events through its own special events office and recommends two toilets per 250 guests, at least a tenth of them accessible.

State health rules for recreation areas set one toilet per 100 people where crowds gather and keep facilities within 400 feet of the people they serve, and local public health agencies can add their own event conditions. Waste disposal runs through licensed channels: septic pumping and hauling are licensed by Colorado counties under the state's Regulation 43, and hauled waste in the Denver metro goes to permitted receiving sites. We handle that part for you.

On construction sites, federal OSHA rule 29 CFR 1926.51 sets the minimum number of toilets by crew size, and federal OSHA covers private employers in Colorado. We size the trailer to that table and keep the service schedule in line with it. Accessible units are built to federal ADA standards, and we place them on firm, level ground near the main path.

For placement, we need a firm, fairly level spot about 12 to 14 feet wide and 20 to 35 feet long, a clear route for the truck, and a standard 20 amp outlet within about 100 feet, or a generator plan. At altitude a generator loses some of its output, so we size it for the elevation. If the trailer has to sit on a city street, the right of way permit is needed first, and we can help with the trailer dimensions for that application.

For the source rules, see Denver’s special event planning guide, the Colorado Springs special events office and the OSHA construction sanitation standard 29 CFR 1926.51.

Questions

Questions Colorado hosts ask about renting a restroom trailer

Two construction workers in hard hats and safety vests talking over a clipboard on a dirt job site with steel framing behind them
How far ahead should I book a restroom trailer in Colorado?

As soon as your date is set. June through September weddings, the aspen weekends, big festival dates and the January stock show book first. We also take short notice orders when a unit is free, with same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch for urgent needs.

Can you deliver to mountain venues and ranches?

Yes. We deliver to ranches, lodges, resorts and private land in the mountains and on the plains. Send us the gate width and a photo of the spot. We will check the drive and pick a trailer length that fits the route.

Will the trailer stay warm in winter?

Yes. Every unit has a furnace on a thermostat, and our crew starts it before guests arrive. In freezing weather we protect the water system and plan service around the cold, so the trailer stays usable at events like a January livestock show or a ski area party.

Which size do I need for a 250 guest wedding?

For about 250 guests over four to five hours, the 5-Station Restroom Trailer is the usual fit. An open bar or a hot July evening calls for more capacity. A venue above 8,000 feet does too. In those cases the 8-Station Private Stall or the 9-Station keeps lines short.

What if the property has no water or sewer hookup?

That is common in Colorado and it is fine. Each trailer carries its own fresh water tank and a large waste tank. We fill it before delivery and pump it on a schedule, so it runs on open land with no utility lines nearby.

Does the trailer need power?

Yes. A standard 20 amp, 120 volt circuit within about 100 feet runs most units, and the larger trailers need two circuits for the climate units. If there is no outlet, we plan a quiet generator sized for your elevation.

How many toilets does a public event in Colorado need?

It depends on the city and the permit. Colorado Springs recommends two toilets per 250 guests with at least 10 percent accessible, and state recreation area rules start at one per 100 people in crowded areas. Send us the attendance and hours and we will build a count that fits your permit.

Do you have accessible restroom trailers?

Yes. The ADA + 2 and ADA + 6 each include an accessible unisex room with its own ramp. Many public events and job sites need at least one, and we place it on firm, level ground close to the main walkway.

Can I keep a restroom trailer on a job site for months?

Yes. Many Colorado contractors keep a unit on site for the full project. We set a weekly or twice weekly pumping and restocking schedule, adjust it as the crew grows and swap the unit if the job needs a different size.

How fast can you get a trailer to me?

We offer same-day delivery and 24/7 immediate dispatch across Colorado. On the Front Range we can often be there within 1 to 2 hours when a unit is free, and emergency orders go to the front of the line.

What happens if hail or a big storm is coming?

We watch the forecast for every active rental. If severe weather threatens your site we will call you, secure or relocate the trailer, and return it or send a replacement once it is safe.

How much space does a restroom trailer need?

Most units need 20 to 35 feet of length and 12 to 14 feet of width with stairs or ramps out, plus a clear path for our truck. Firm, level ground matters more than size, so a photo of the spot helps us plan.

Do you provide restroom trailers for wildfire and emergency response?

Yes. Shelters, incident staging areas, clinics and utility crews use our self-contained trailers when water or sewer service is down. Call the 24/7 line with the address and head count, and we will tell you what we can send and when it can arrive.

Send us your date and we will handle the rest
