The San Luis Rey River Flood Control Project picked up 26 million in federal funding for sediment removal, levee repair and geotechnical work across 7.2 miles and roughly 533 acres. Crews working that channel are on soft ground, miles from anything, behind gates the city or the Corps controls. December through March we bring plywood and cribbing on the truck without being asked, because ten inches of rain a year arrives in a very narrow window and the river bottom takes it badly.
The pier is its own category. The city allocated 1.3 million toward demolition after the April 2024 fire at the far end, design documents ran into 2026, and stabilization work is queued ahead of deck repairs. There is also a hundred year old concrete bridge at the pier approach that needs rebuilding, with scaffolding and netting. Crews on that structure are working over water with no facility within reach, and the closest parking lot is metered public parking that has to be permitted and coned first.

The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality regulates liquid waste hauling and onsite systems in the county, and city sewer connections run through Oceanside Water Utilities and Engineering. Local approvals depend on where the unit sits. Occupying a street, an alley, a sidewalk or a parking lane anywhere in the city requires a city encroachment permit, which is exactly the situation downtown and along Mission Avenue during events. All of that sits inside the coastal zone, so the California Coastal Commission has a say on beachfront work, and that is part of why the RE:BEACH shoreline project runs out toward 2028. No. The 8-Station is rated for about 200 people a day, with hot and cold controls in every room and 1.5 GPM metered heads that keep recovery ahead of demand. Eight people in a row is a normal Tuesday for that unit. What actually limits a long deployment is tank volume and service frequency, not hot water recovery, which is why we set the pump and refill cadence to your real head count rather than a standard schedule.
Do you have ADA accessible shower units for public events in Oceanside?
Yes. The ADA plus 2 gives you one ADA private shower room plus two standard rooms, with its own self-contained ramp, and it meets federal ADA requirements along with California’s accessibility code. We set the cadence to the job, not to a standard route. Base camps and high volume sites get daily service. A civil package with a steady crew might run two or three visits a week. Coastal placements get a shorter hardware check on top of the cleaning, because the marine layer works on hinges, latches and jacks faster than anything inland.
