Bathroom Trailer Rentals in Utah
The Lavatory rents luxury restroom trailers across Utah from a yard in Salt Lake City, with flushing china toilets, running water, mirrors, and heat and air in every unit. We own every trailer we send out, deliver and level it ourselves, and keep it stocked and serviced until the last guest leaves.

Why Utah planners book our luxury restroom trailers
Utah asks more of a restroom trailer than most states do. A single month can put one unit at a backyard reception in Draper, the next at a construction trailer lot near the airport, and the next at a trailhead where the nearest water line is miles away. The weather swings from 100 degree July afternoons in St. George to single digit January nights on the Salt Lake benches. A trailer that only works on a mild Saturday in June is the wrong trailer for this state. The Lavatory across Utah can add accessible restroom trailers to the same order.
We built our Utah program around that range. Every unit carries its own fresh water tank, a large waste tank and both heat and air conditioning, so it runs on a paved lot with hookups or on raw ground with none. Our Salt Lake City yard keeps trailers close to the Wasatch Front, where most of the calls come from, and our crews run longer routes to Moab, Vernal, Cedar City and the southern parks on a schedule we set with you. For the trend, read “Why Restroom Trailer Rentals Are Becoming More Popular.”
A fleet we own outright
Every trailer on your site comes from our own fleet of over 250 units. We never broker a job to a stranger or send a unit we have not inspected. You get one team, one phone number and a crew that knows the exact trailer rolling up to your address.
Real restrooms inside
China toilets with foot flush, stainless sinks with running water, framed mirrors, good lighting and a real door that locks. Guests stop comparing it to a porta potty the moment they walk in, which is the whole point of renting luxury.
Four seasons, one standard
Each unit runs heat and air on a thermostat, so the interior stays comfortable at a July fair and stays above freezing through a January night. We plan hoses, water delivery and pumping around the season instead of hoping the weather cooperates.
Where we set restroom trailers across Utah, region by region
We cover the whole state, not just the I-15 corridor. These are the regions that fill our calendar, each with its own access limits, weather and kind of event. Tell us the address and the date, and we will route the right unit from the closest staging point.

The Wasatch Front and Salt Lake City
The corridor from Ogden through Salt Lake City to Lehi is where most of our Utah restroom trailers work. Downtown receptions, corporate events near the Salt Palace, festivals at the Utah State Fairpark, and a long list of construction projects keep units moving every week. Bench streets on the east side have real grade and cars on both curbs, so we match the trailer length to the street before we ever load it. See our luxury restroom trailer rentals in Salt Lake City.
Utah County, from Lehi to Spanish Fork
Provo, Orem, American Fork and the tech corridor around Lehi host large family gatherings, campus events near BYU and Utah Valley University, and plenty of corporate campus work. Big guest lists are normal here, which is why the 5-Station and 9-Station units get booked most often in this county. See our luxury restroom trailer rentals in Provo.
Ogden, Davis County and northern Utah
Layton, Bountiful, Ogden and Logan add county fairs, university events at Weber State and Utah State, and industrial sites near Hill Air Force Base and the rail yards. Northern Utah winters are long, so these routes lean on our winter plan more than any other part of the state.
Park City, Heber and the Wasatch Back
Mountain weddings, ski season events and resort work run at 6,000 to 7,000 feet, with snow on the ground for months. Canyon roads close for avalanche control, so we schedule deliveries around road status and set units on packed, level ground where a service truck can reach them.
St. George, Cedar City and southern Utah
Washington County is hot, dry and growing fast. Desert weddings, endurance races, golf events and park gateway gatherings near Zion call for self-contained trailers that run on onboard water, with air conditioning working hard from late spring into fall.
The Uinta Basin, Moab and rural Utah
Vernal, Roosevelt, Price and Moab bring energy crews, film and photo shoots on public land, and rural events far from town water. These jobs run self-contained, with water delivery and pump-outs planned on a fixed schedule so the trailer never runs dry or full.
Restroom trailer sizes we rent in Utah, from 2 to 9 stations
Seven luxury restroom trailers cover nearly every Utah request, from a backyard party of 80 to a festival crowd in the thousands. Guest counts below assume a typical event of about four to five hours. For longer events, heavy drinking crowds or job sites, we size up.

2-Station Restroom Trailer
One women's suite and one men's suite for up to about 150 guests. The short box fits a driveway, a side yard or a tight venue lot, which makes it the usual pick for backyard receptions and smaller company events along the Wasatch Front.

3-Station Restroom Trailer
Two women's suites and one men's suite for up to about 225 guests. It is the everyday middle size for a milestone birthday, a church or community picnic, or a golf tournament clubhouse overflow.

5-Station Restroom Trailer
Women's side with 3 stalls and 2 sinks, men's side with a stall, a urinal and a sink. Built for 150 to 450 guests, with 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank. Most Utah wedding receptions land on this unit.

8-Station Private Stall Deluxe Restroom Trailer
Eight unisex private rooms, each with its own toilet, urinal and sink, for 400 to 600 guests. Every room opens straight to the outside, so lines move fast and no one shares a stall wall with a stranger.

9-Station Restroom Trailer
Women's side with 5 stalls and 2 sinks, men's side with 2 stalls, 2 urinals and a sink, for 400 to 900 guests. Two heat and air units and a 750 gallon waste tank keep it running through a full festival day.

ADA + 2 Restroom Trailer
A women's suite, a men's suite and an accessible unisex suite with a self-contained ramp. Sized for events up to about 200 guests or job sites up to about 30 crew, with 210 gallons of fresh water on board.

ADA + 6 Restroom Trailer
Seven stations in one box: 4 men's, 2 women's and an accessible unisex room with its own ramp, built to federal accessibility standards. It serves events and job sites up to about 300 people when access is part of the plan.
Not sure which size fits? Give us the guest count, the hours and whether alcohol is served, and we will size it for you. We would rather send the right trailer than more trailer than the day needs.
Sizing a restroom trailer for a Utah event: the numbers we use
We size every order from the same few numbers: guest count, event length, whether alcohol is served, and how long the trailer stays. These are the working figures behind our quotes.
Up to about 150 guests
The 2-Station unit carries 105 gallons of fresh water and a 300 gallon waste tank on one 20 amp, 120 volt circuit. It suits a backyard reception, a company picnic or a ward activity of 80 to 150 people over four or five hours.
150 to 450 guests
The 5-Station unit is 14 feet 6 inches long in the box and about 20 feet with the tongue, with 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank. Most Utah receptions of 200 to 350 guests land here.
400 to 900 guests
The 9-Station unit runs two heat and air units on two 20 amp circuits and holds 750 gallons of waste. The 8-Station Private Stall carries 400 gallons of fresh water and a 1,000 gallon waste tank for 400 to 600 guests who expect a private room.
Crowds in the thousands
For a festival, fair or parade we place two or more large units in a row so lines split, then pump between peak sessions. A two day event with 5,000 guests usually needs several trailers plus scheduled service, not one giant unit.
Job sites and long stays
Federal rules under 29 CFR 1926.51 require one toilet for 20 or fewer workers and more as the crew grows. The ADA + 2 covers crews up to about 30, and we set a weekly or twice weekly pumping rhythm for jobs that run 30, 60 or 90 days.
Space and access
Plan on roughly 12 to 14 feet of width with stairs or ramps deployed, and 20 to 35 feet of length depending on the unit. Every unit needs level, firm ground and a clear path for a truck to back in.
Weddings, festivals and job sites: how Utah uses our restroom trailers
Most of our Utah bookings fall into six kinds of work. Each one sets different demands for size, placement, water and service.

Weddings and receptions
Utah receptions often run big, with extended family and whole congregations on the guest list. Backyard and estate receptions from Holladay to Alpine need a restroom that matches the dress code, and many venues that look perfect for photos have two small restrooms for three hundred guests. A 5-Station or 8-Station Private Stall unit placed near the dance floor fixes that without anyone noticing it arrived.
Festivals, parades and fairs
The Days of '47 celebrations each July, Utah Pride in June and the Utah State Fair in September all draw crowds that overwhelm permanent restrooms. For big crowds we place several units in a row so lines split across them, then schedule pumping between peak sessions so no trailer fills up mid-event.
Mountain and ski season events
Ski races, resort concerts and mountain weddings put trailers on snow and at altitude. We set units on packed, level ground, keep the heat running around the clock and plan every delivery around canyon road status.
Construction and infrastructure
Salt Lake City has one of the busiest construction calendars in the West, from the airport program to downtown arena and convention work and venue projects ahead of the 2034 Winter Games. Federal rules under 29 CFR 1926.51 set toilet counts by crew size, and a clean, heated restroom trailer helps a contractor keep good crews on long winter jobs.
Emergency and relief sites
Wasatch Fault earthquake planning, foothill wildfire, spring runoff flooding and severe wind all put shelters and staging areas in need of restrooms on short notice. Our 24/7 line takes emergency orders, and the accessible units give relief sites the access they need.
Churches, campuses and corporate events
Stake and ward activities, school graduations, campus events and company gatherings fill our spring and summer calendar. Many of these sites have plenty of parking and power but not enough restrooms for the crowd, which is exactly where a trailer earns its spot.
Built for Utah winters: how we keep restroom trailers running in the cold
Freezing weather is the design question for any trailer that carries water, and Utah freezes hard. In Salt Lake City, January averages a high near 39 degrees and a low near 24, the bench neighborhoods see far more snow than the airport, and mountain sites run colder still. Water lines, not the trailer itself, are usually what fails first.
Our trailers carry heat as well as air conditioning on a thermostat, so the interior stays above freezing overnight without anyone on site. The pieces that need a plan are outside the box: the supply hose, the hose bib and the waste line. On cold jobs we insulate or skip the site hose, drain the waste line between services and, on the worst nights, run the unit fully self-contained with water delivery and scheduled pumping instead of a live connection. A frozen hose at 6 a.m. is the problem we plan out before the trailer leaves the yard.
How booking a Utah restroom trailer works
1. Call or request a quote
Tell us the date, the address, the guest count and the hours. We answer the phone 24/7, and most quotes go out the same day.
2. We size it and check the site
We match the trailer to your crowd and look at access, ground, slope, power and water. For a tricky site we ask for photos or visit before we commit to a spot.
3. Delivery and setup
Our crew delivers, levels, connects power and water where available, and stocks the unit with paper, soap, towels and fragrance. Most setups finish well before guests arrive.
4. Service and pickup
For multi-day events and job sites we schedule restocking and pumping on a set rhythm. When the event ends, we pull the trailer and leave the site the way we found it.
Permits, health rules and placement in Utah
Most private property rentals need no permit for the trailer itself. Events on public land are different. Salt Lake City requires a special event permit for events in parks, on city lots or in streets, and that application routes through police, fire, public works and parks review. Anything that occupies the public right of way needs a traffic control plan. Other cities along the Wasatch Front run similar special event processes, so we suggest calling your city early if the trailer will sit on public property.
Waste handling follows state rules. Utah Administrative Code R317-550 governs liquid waste operations and approved pumpers, and holding tank contents must be disposed of at a facility the regulator approves. We handle all pumping and disposal, so you never need to find a hauler. Local health departments, including the Salt Lake County Health Department and the Utah County Health Department, oversee temporary events that serve food, and a trailer with running water and hand sinks makes their hand washing checklist easy to meet.
Some sites carry extra limits. The Cottonwood canyons are protected drinking water source areas for much of Salt Lake County, so units working up there run fully closed with everything hauled out. Airport and secured federal sites are badge controlled, which changes when service trucks can come and go. We plan for both before delivery day.

Questions Utah hosts ask about renting a restroom trailer
How far ahead should I book a restroom trailer in Utah?
As soon as you have a date. Summer Saturdays, the Days of '47 week, Utah State Fair season and ski season weekends book up first. We also take short notice orders when a unit is free, and our 24/7 line handles emergencies.
Which size do I need for a 250 guest wedding reception?
For about 250 guests over four to five hours, the 5-Station Restroom Trailer is the usual pick. If the bar is open all night or the reception runs long, move up to the 8-Station Private Stall or 9-Station unit so lines stay short.
Do restroom trailers work in a Utah winter?
Yes. Every unit has heat on a thermostat, so the interior stays above freezing overnight. We plan the outside pieces too, insulating or skipping the site hose and running the unit self-contained with water delivery and pumping when a live connection would freeze.
What if my venue has no water or sewer hookup?
That is fine. Every trailer carries its own fresh water tank and a large waste tank. We fill it before delivery and pump it on a schedule, so the unit runs on raw ground far from any utility.
Does the trailer need power?
Yes, a standard 20 amp, 120 volt circuit within about 100 feet runs most units, and the larger trailers use two. If there is no outlet on site, we can plan a quiet generator setup with you.
Do you serve Park City, St. George and rural Utah?
Yes. We deliver statewide, from the Wasatch Back ski towns to Washington County and the Uinta Basin. Longer routes are scheduled ahead, and mountain deliveries are planned around canyon road status.
Is an accessible restroom trailer available?
Yes. The ADA + 2 and ADA + 6 units each include an accessible unisex room with a self-contained ramp. Many public events and job sites need at least one, and we help you place it on firm, level ground near the main path.
Who cleans and restocks the trailer during a long event?
We do. For multi-day festivals, job sites and relief sites we schedule restocking and pumping on a set rhythm, and we can add on-site attendant service for large events.
How many restroom trailers do I need for a 1,000 person event?
For about 1,000 guests over five hours, plan on at least two large units, such as two 9-Station trailers or a 9-Station plus an 8-Station Private Stall. Longer hours, an open bar or a hot July day all push that number up, and we size it with you.
How much space does a restroom trailer need?
Most units need 20 to 35 feet of length and 12 to 14 feet of width once stairs or ramps are out, plus a clear path for our truck. Level, firm ground matters more than size, so a quick photo of the spot helps us plan.
