Austin’s most-requested portable shower trailer rentals for agency base camps
We own the fleet. Over 250 units, the largest luxury trailer fleet in the Western U.S., and not one of them is brokered out of somebody else’s yard. Fire agencies and film producers do not rent on charm, so our flagship 8-station is CAL FIRE approved, ties into septic on long deployments, and carries 950 gallons of waste capacity. Thirty-plus years in event and equipment rental, eight years staging Texas shower trailer rentals in-market, licensed and insured. Call us or get a free quote and we will tell you straight what your site can actually support.
A door that locks, every time
Every room in our fleet is private, with a real door and a latch. No curtain, no shared bay, no line of sight from the yard. On a mixed crew in Del Valle that is the first thing people check.
We handle the waste, start to finish
Hauling chemical toilet waste in Texas takes a registered transporter, and we are set up for it. You do not find a pump truck, schedule it, or argue about where the load goes.
Hot water planned around the shift, not the brochure
Room count is the easy number. We plan recovery against your turnover, so the last person in at 6:40 p.m. gets the same water as the first at 5:00.
We plan around the October street closures
Zilker and the Circuit property swallow this city for most of October, and half the downtown delivery routes change with them. We map the run before the date instead of finding the barricade with a driver on the clock.
“Eleven days on a brush fire staging area and the rooms were ready before every morning briefing. The pump schedule never slipped once.”
“We had travelers coming off a twelve hour shift with nowhere to clean up. Eight private rooms fixed it in a week. Four months in, not one complaint about the showers.”
“Our gate is narrow and the drive washes out. They asked for a photo first and brought the right unit.”
Trusted with portable shower trailers by companies that could pick anyone
The companies that could rent anything still call us, because a bad shower at a base camp or a film set becomes the story of the whole job. The Lavatory has provided trailers for names like Google, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, eBay, and Target, for hospitality at Caesars Palace, and for pro sports including the Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, and Las Vegas Raiders.

The reason those bookings repeat is simple. A hot shower at the end of a long day is the one thing a crew remembers about the camp. A fire agency near Austin once called on a Thursday because the unit another company promised for a weekend base camp fell through, and we had a fully stocked trailer set and heated with hours to spare. A production running a long shoot outside town needed showers that held up day after day for cast and crew, and the same trailer stayed spotless through the whole schedule because our team serviced it. That standard travels to every Austin booking, from a two-week jobsite to a festival campground. For the common missteps, see our post on shower planning mistakes.
Three decades in event and equipment rental, running the largest luxury trailer fleet in the Western U.S. Every unit ours, never a broker’s.
Base camp hygiene for Travis County fire and flood incidents
Around here the 8-station does most of the heavy lifting, because a Travis County incident camp or a build out near Taylor will push 150 to 200 people through in a day. The smaller combos cover gate crews, night shifts and the jobs where only a few people need a shower.

Austin adopted a new wildfire risk map in 2025 that put 51 percent of the city’s habitable land inside a risk zone, up from 38 percent a decade earlier. Access is what turns a fire into a camp. City and county officials have flagged 339 residential areas with limited routes in and out, places like Steiner Ranch, Lost Creek, River Place and the streets off Bull Creek. A fire in one of those takes mutual aid, and mutual aid takes days.
2026 made the point. Travis County Commissioners Court put a county-wide burn ban in place on August 11, with roughly 77 percent of the county in extreme drought. Crews worked 20 to 25 fires in a single day back on February 7. We have watched this cycle long enough to know what it asks of us. Staged units, a pump schedule that runs before the morning briefing, and a placement far enough off the haul road that the rooms are not full of dust by noon. Relief work 75 miles southwest of Austin can draw on mobile shower trailers in San Antonio.
What is built into each trailer
Private rooms with a lockable door
Every shower is its own room with a door that locks, a bench and a hook, so a crew or a camp showers with real privacy instead of a curtain in a row.
Hot and cold water controls
A water heater and onboard tanks feed hot and cold controls in each room, with 1.5 GPM shower heads so the hot water lasts through a full shift of people.
Air conditioning and heat
Climate control in every trailer, so a shower in a July heat wave or a January storm response feels like the one at home.
One-piece gel-coated fiberglass
Walls, ceiling and floor are one molded fiberglass surface with no seams, which is why the rooms clean fast, stay clean and never smell like a locker room.
Runs with or without hookups
Fresh and waste tanks on board, a generator when the site has no power, and the option to tie into on-site septic on a long deployment.
Serviced, stocked and pumped
We deliver the trailer stocked and come back to pump, restock and clean on longer jobs, so day twelve looks like day one.
Strike teams arrive through TIFMAS, and the Texas A&M Forest Service overhead staff come with them. Those people are not driving home at shift change. So the camp needs hot water on a two-period rhythm, not a one-shot tank, at a site like the Travis County Exposition Center or a fire station lot where the nearest sewer is a hundred yards off. Our septic tie-in is the feature that keeps a multi-station shower trailer on site through the whole incident instead of cycling trucks all day.
Floods are the other half of it. The July 2025 Hill Country flood killed at least 135 people, hit Travis and Williamson counties among others, and produced more than 850 rescues in the first 36 hours. Closer in, the Halloween 2013 Onion Creek flood damaged over 500 homes and killed five people. Debris crews, saw teams and search teams work filthy 14-hour days after water like that. Call us and we will tell you where our nearest units are sitting right now.
Full specifications for every unit are on the 8-Station spec page and its four sister pages, or call and we will spec it to your Austin head count.
The full shower trailer fleet is one page over; below is how we size a unit to a Texas job.
From one ADA room to a full camp: our crew shower trailers
Five shower units cover everything from a single ADA-compliant room to a camp that showers two hundred people a day. Every one has hot water, private rooms and climate control. Tell us the head count, how long the job runs and what the site has for water and power, and we will size it.

8-Station Private Shower Trailer
Eight completely private shower rooms in a 29-foot box, built for crews, camps and relief sites of up to about 200 people a day. Hot and cold controls, 200-gallon fresh and 950-gallon waste tanks, an exterior four-sink hand wash bank under the roof line, and it can tie into on-site septic for long deployments. CAL FIRE approved for wildfire camp service, the spec incident teams ask for in every western state.

ADA + 2 Private Shower Trailer
Two standard private shower rooms plus one ADA room with a self-contained ramp, built to federal ADA requirements. The right unit when a site needs accessibility without giving up capacity, with 210 gallons of fresh water on board.

4-Station Shower, Restroom and Laundry Combo
Four private bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, shower and power outlet, plus a washer and dryer in a separate room. A self-contained hygiene block for a crew of up to about 30 on a remote or long-term job.

2-Station Shower and Restroom Combo
Two private bathrooms with a toilet, sink and shower each, in a compact 11-foot box. The pick for a small crew, a ranch job or a production base that needs both functions in one footprint.

Single-Station ADA Shower and Restroom Combo
One fully accessible room: ADA china toilet with grab bars, roll-in shower with a seat and hand wand, ADA-height sink and vanity, and a ramp that deploys in minutes. It pairs with any other unit so every person on site is covered.
Bigger jobs run several trailers side by side, and long deployments get a service schedule instead of a one-time drop. If you are between sizes, we spec it to the head count rather than nudge you into more trailer than the job calls for.
The same fleet covers shower trailer delivery across Texas, matched to crew size and duration.
Other jobs these units handle around the metro
Three kinds of work keep our Austin units busy most of the year. Incident camps when the county is dry or the creeks come up. Crew camps on the big industrial builds. And harvest and ranch work out past the county line, where there is no building to shower in at all.

Film and television productions
Texas put 300 million dollars per two-year cycle into its film incentive fund through 2035, and Austin is where most of that lands. Location shoots on ranch land and in the Hill Country have no plumbing at all, so we set units at base camp and keep them off camera.

Sports camps and race weekends
Race weekends at Circuit of the Americas and multi-day tournaments run crews and athletes through long days in the heat. Private rooms with locks matter more than square footage, and we size the bank to the schedule.

Outreach and public health hygiene programs
Fixed shower programs already run here, at places like the Sunrise center on Menchaca Road and a mobile hygiene clinic downtown. When a program has to add capacity or cover a gap, our ADA units go in first.

Military and agency field ops
Camp Swift in Bastrop County is an 11,659 acre training site an hour east of us, and agency field work moves through ground like that all year. We are SAM.gov registered and we carry the paperwork agencies ask for.

Remote and off-grid job sites
Pipeline, transmission, quarry and solar work puts crews miles from the nearest building. Everything we own runs without a hookup if it has to, and we size the generator and water haul as part of the plan.
What ties these together is that a hot shower changes how a long day ends. Because our units sit staged across the region instead of a couple of states away, getting a shower trailer to an Austin site, even on a short-notice call, is an ordinary ask here, not a scramble.
The arithmetic behind renting a crew shower trailer in Austin

Think about what an Austin deployment actually costs to run. Wages, lodging, fuel, the schedule pressure, the people you are asking to work long days away from home. Then picture the end of that shift with nowhere to get clean. A shower is the one thing every person on site uses, and it is the detail they quietly judge the whole camp by.
A private shower trailer protects everything else you are spending. Crews sleep better and stay on the job, a production keeps cast and crew comfortable through a long schedule, and a relief site gives people back a piece of normal. Set against the cost of the deployment, it is a small line item that carries a lot of the morale, which is why the managers who have run a camp without one book the trailer first the next time.
Private showers for harvest, crush and ranch crews outside the city

Drive 30 minutes east and the work changes completely. Williamson County still had 6,443 acres of cotton and 3,519 acres of sorghum as of its last count, worked out of Taylor, Granger, Coupland and Florence. Travis County’s own farm receipts run about two thirds livestock, mostly cattle. Harvest crews work dawn to dark for three to five weeks, finish coated in gin trash and dust, and the closest building with a working shower is often 20 minutes from the turnrow.
West of town it is grapes. The Texas Hill Country AVA covers nine million acres and more than 100 wineries, and 2026 got nicknamed the St. Patty’s Freeze vintage after a late March freeze dropped temperatures into the 20s during bud break. Crews still picked what survived. Crush means pickers starting at 3 a.m. to get fruit in cold, then a pad crew working through the heat. A tasting room restroom was never built for 30 pickers and a night sort.
Ranch work runs all year, and the labor spikes are working pens, shipping, fencing and cedar clearing. Burn bans shape when a clearing crew can even run a saw, and in 2026 the ban held most of the year. These are the jobs where a self-contained shower unit earns its keep. No sewer. No water worth using. A stock tank is not a water source and a gate two miles from the work is a real constraint. We bring the water, we bring the heat, and we make the pump schedule fit the gate code and the cattle guard.
After years of serving harvest and ranch crews out here, the first thing we plan for is access, not stations. A 35 foot combination does not make a 12 foot gate with a cedar post on the inside corner. So we ask for a photo of the gate and what the two-track does when it rains. When the crew sleeps on site we bring the 4-station combo with laundry.
Crew shower trailer rentals for the big builds along I-35

Taylor is the clearest example in the region. Samsung’s advanced fab there is targeted to be running by the end of 2026, and counting staff, vendor engineers and contractors the site peaks around 10,000 workers. Taylor has about 18,000 residents. Do that math on housing and you see why contractors bus travelers in, and why those travelers need somewhere to clean up. Tesla’s plant down in Del Valle is at 16,500 employees and added more than 5.2 million square feet of building this year.
Data center work has piled on top of it. There are at least 56 projects planned or proposed along the I-35 corridor, including a 1.28 million square foot, 600 megawatt campus in Hutto. Central Texas is projected to employ more than 9,000 electrical tradespeople at peak in 2026, and 92 percent of Texas construction firms say they cannot find enough skilled people. When a superintendent finally lands a crew of travelers, he is not losing them over a site with nowhere to wash.
Then there is the road and transit work. I-35 Capital Express Central is a 4.5 billion dollar rebuild of eight miles of freeway through the middle of town, started in early 2025 and running to 2033, with the Lady Bird Lake bridge and the downtown segment both ramping up in late 2026. Concourse B at Austin-Bergstrom breaks ground in 2026 and adds more than 20 gates, much of it badged and on nights. Those placements are tight. We have set units in a single striped lane with a fire lane to keep clear, and that gets planned before the truck leaves.
What we have learned on long builds here is that the station count is the easy question. The hard one is service timing. A two-shift job does not have a quiet hour, so we service at the shift gap and we hold to it. On freeze weeks we get ahead of it. Request a quote with your peak head count and your shift pattern and we will size it properly the first time.

Set, stocked and serviced: portable shower trailers in Austin

We handle the whole thing, not just the drop-off. Our team delivers the trailer, levels and sets it, connects water and power or stages a generator and a water supply, fires the heater and stocks every room before the first person needs it. When the job wraps, we come back and haul it away.
On longer or higher-traffic bookings in Austin, we pump and restock on a schedule, and an on-site attendant is available for camps and productions where the trailer runs all day. That always-clean standard is the difference between a shower people use once and one they are glad to use every night of the job.
The Austin booking process for a hot-water shower trailer, start to finish
Booking should be the easy part of running a site. Four steps, a straight answer, and one team that owns the whole thing.
Tell us about the site
Share the dates, a rough head count and where the trailer will sit. That is enough for us to point you to the right unit and count.
We match the trailer and the hookups
We confirm whether the site has water and power or needs a generator and a supply, and pin the exact spot so delivery is one clean trip.
Delivery and setup
We arrive on your schedule, level and set the trailer, connect it, heat the water and stock every room so it is ready before the first shift ends.
Use it, we handle service and pickup
The trailer holds up through the whole deployment while our line stays open. When you are done, we come back and take it away.
Accessibility and site rules for private shower trailers around Austin
Start with the waste, because that is the part that gets people in trouble. Hauling chemical toilet waste in Texas requires registration as a sludge transporter with the TCEQ under 30 TAC 312.142(a), using form TCEQ-00481, with a sticker for each registered vehicle. Registered haulers carry a five digit number starting with 2 in the state’s Central Registry, so you can look any of them up. We handle the disposal end, and the paperwork exists if anybody asks.
On the site side, Travis County Transportation and Natural Resources permits on-site sewage facilities, including septic systems and holding tanks, for unincorporated property that is not inside another jurisdiction. The state framework is Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285. In plain terms, a long camp on acreage can tie into an existing permitted system with the owner’s sign-off, or it runs on a pumped holding arrangement that we service. We sort out which one applies before delivery, every time, on every one of our mobile shower trailer rentals in the county.
Federal workplace rules are the reason a lot of these calls happen at all. OSHA’s construction sanitation standard, 29 CFR 1926.51(f), requires washing facilities kept in sanitary condition with hot and cold running water or tepid running water, plus soap and towels. A private room with a metered hot head clears that bar easily. Heat is the other one: OSHA’s proposed heat injury and illness prevention rule, published in the Federal Register on August 30, 2024, would cover construction and agriculture indoors and out, and the Labor Department’s 2026 plan still lists finalizing it. Good contractors here already write cool-down, water and wash-up into the site plan. Inside the city, events go through the Austin Center for Events, where the guidance is one portable toilet per 50 people at peak, and a single unit in any location has to be the accessible one. Government crews working 145 miles east of Austin can book hot showers for crews in Houston. For guest restrooms at races, weddings and holiday markets, we also handle luxury restroom trailer rentals in Austin.

What we cover on ADA and pad prep
- ADA-compliant shower units with a ramp, roll-in shower, seat, hand wand, grab bars and an ADA-height sink.
- Guidance on where to place the trailer so it is easy to reach, easy to service and level.
- Water and power sorted before delivery, with a generator and a water supply staged when the site has neither.
- Licensed and insured on every unit we put on the road.
One thing we always say plainly: some sites, agencies and city permits have their own rules on placement, accessibility, greywater and temporary hygiene facilities. Tell us the site and we will help you plan around them, but confirm any permit requirements with the property or the agency as well.
Notes from relief sites we served with mobile shower units around Austin

Incident support lead, brush fire west of Loop 360
The call came in on a Tuesday morning with a canyon fire behind a neighborhood off Lost Creek. Staging went into a church lot, the only flat ground with a way in and out. We put the 8-station at the far end and the ADA unit near the command tent, and with no sewer in reach we pumped at 5 a.m. for 11 straight days. Nobody on that camp drove into town to get clean.
Superintendent, earthwork package near Taylor
Four month deployment on a dirt package with a laydown yard a half mile from the nearest building. We set the 8-station at the yard and a 2-station combo at the south gate for the inspectors and the gate crew, both on a generator we sized for the heater plus AC. In January we came out twice before a freeze to check heat and lines. Zero lost shower days that winter.
Vineyard manager, Hill Country crush
Pick started at 3 a.m. and the pad crew worked until dark, 16 days straight. The gate was 12 feet wide with a cedar post on the inside corner, so we brought the 4-station combo with the washer and dryer instead of the long unit, and set it where the pickers walked past on the way to the bins. Clean clothes mattered as much as the showers on that one.
Neighborhoods and suburbs we deliver to

We cover Austin and the six counties around it from staged units, and we quote the whole metro the same way: head count, duration, access. If your job is in Georgetown one month and Kyle the next, that is a phone call, not a new contract. Tell us where the gate is and we will tell you what fits through it.
We cover Austin shower trailer rentals across Texas. Towns and job corridors we serve include Downtown Austin, East Austin, Del Valle, Montopolis, Mueller, The Domain, North Burnet, Oak Hill, Circle C, Onion Creek, Dove Springs, Steiner Ranch, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, Lago Vista, Manor, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Hutto, Taylor.
Working beyond the city line? See our full shower trailer coverage across Texas.

Steiner Ranch and Lakeway
This is interface country. The 2011 Steiner Ranch fire burned 162 acres and took 23 homes, and the access that made it hard then has not changed much. When a staging area goes up out here it is usually a school or fire station lot, and everything runs self-contained.

Del Valle and Southeast Austin
Plant work and the 1,500 acre Circuit of the Americas property sit side by side out here, which means big head counts on gravel and caliche. Placements are generous, service runs are long, and we stage close enough that a size swap is a same-day move.

Taylor and Hutto
Fab commissioning and data center construction are competing for the same trades, and the crews are mostly travelers. Long deployments, two shifts, and deluxe combos with laundry on the longer camps. We plan these in months, not weeks.

Dripping Springs and Spicewood
Acreage, no sewer, and gates that were built for a tractor. Ranch, winery and clearing crews get self-contained setups with a haul-in water plan, and we confirm the approach before scheduling.

Onion Creek and Dove Springs
Southeast Austin sits low, and drainage and creek work here never really stops. Crews get mobilized on short notice when a storm line comes through. Our units can be set the same day, and we service them early before the work starts.

The Domain and North Burnet
Vertical construction on a tight footprint, with traffic control and a fire lane to respect. We set smaller units here, service them early so the site is not blocked, and walk the placement in advance.
Planned rentals are usually scheduled the same week, and we do our best to cover last-minute Austin dates when a trailer is nearby.
What customers around Austin tell us
“Base camp was on ranch land with no plumbing for miles. The trailer was clean, quiet, and nobody had to leave set to get a shower. Our talent noticed, and that is usually a bad sign.”
“Hot and cold controls in every room and a door that locks. That is all my crew asked for. We got it on day one.”
“After the flood we needed showers for debris crews fast. They answered at night and had units in place the next day. The ADA unit came without us asking twice.”
“Two shifts and no quiet hour. They service at the gap and they hold to it.”
“Accessibility was the whole reason we called. The roll-in shower with the seat and wand works for the people we serve, and the ramp comes with the unit.”
“Cedar clearing crew on site for six weeks, no sewer, no decent water. They hauled everything in and kept it running through a hot spell.”
What outreach programs ask about crew shower trailers

Is there anything about an Austin job that changes the cost of a shower trailer rental?
Yes. Most of it is logistics, not the trailer. Station count and rental length are the big two. After that it is service frequency, how far the job is from our staged units, whether the site has water and power or needs a generator and a water haul, how far the waste has to travel to a legal disposal point, whether you need an ADA unit in the mix, and whether laundry is in scope. A Dripping Springs ranch with a narrow gate and no hookups prices differently than a paved lot in Round Rock, even with the same head count.
Where does CAL FIRE approval matter if we are running an incident camp in Travis County?
It matters anywhere the camp is run under a state or federal mobilization, or reimbursed through one. Our 8-station carries that approval, which means the unit has already been reviewed against agency fire camp expectations rather than just sold as a nice trailer. When strike teams arrive through TIFMAS and Texas A&M Forest Service overhead staff are building the camp, nobody wants to debate equipment.
What do the ADA units include, and does the ramp come with them?
The ramp is part of the unit, not an extra you rent or build. Our ADA plus 2 gives you one ADA room and two standard rooms with a self-contained ramp, built to federal ADA rules and California’s stricter standard. The single-station ADA combo has an ADA china toilet with grab bars. It also has a roll-in shower with a seat and a hand wand. Round it out with an ADA sink and vanity.
When does the hot water run out, and how long until it comes back?
Recovery is the real limit on a busy camp, not the number of doors. Our heads are metered at 1.5 GPM, so a seven minute shower is about ten and a half gallons, and eight rooms cycling on a ten minute rhythm moves roughly 500 gallons an hour through the system. With a water supply or a refill cadence planned around that, the last person in line gets the same temperature as the first. Where we see trouble is a site that assumed a residential water heater pace and put 120 people on one narrow window.
How many shower stations do we need for a 120-person crew running two shifts?
On a staggered two shift job the 8-station usually handles it, because the peak flattens out instead of hitting all at once. On a single shift crew with a hard stop at 5 p.m., plan closer to one room per 20 to 25 people, since everyone wants the same 45 minutes. Tell us your shift pattern along with the head count and we will size it on the real peak instead of a guess.
Do these run on job site power, or do we need a generator?
The 8-station wants one 50 amp 220 volt circuit. The smaller units run on two 120 volt 20 amp circuits, which is ordinary site power or a modest generator. Plenty of Central Texas jobs have no power at all, especially ranch, harvest and interface staging work, and that is fine. We size the generator for the heater element plus AC rather than letting you find out on a hot afternoon that it was undersized.
Will you rent for six months on a long Austin build?
Yes. Long deployments are most of what we do in this metro, because the fab, data center and highway work runs in years rather than weeks. On terms that long we set up the waste side properly, usually a septic tie-in where one is available, so the job is not paying for a pump truck every day. If week nine adds 40 people, we would rather swap the unit than watch eight rooms carry 140.
Can the units keep running through a Central Texas heat wave or a hard freeze?
Both, and we plan for each one differently. AC and heat are standard in every unit with a smart thermostat, which is the whole point during a stretch like the 45 day run of triple digit days this city saw in 2023. For freezes we insulate and heat the lines, leave the thermostat running rather than shutting the unit down, and walk the trailer before a front arrives.
Who hauls the wastewater, and where is it allowed to go in Travis County?
We do, and it goes to a permitted receiving point. Texas requires anyone hauling chemical toilet waste to be registered with the TCEQ as a sludge transporter under 30 TAC 312.142(a), with a sticker on each vehicle and a registration number in the state’s public registry. We keep the records, and on long jobs we would rather tie into a permitted septic system than run trucks all day.
Does the county have to permit a shower unit on acreage outside the city limits?
Often, yes, and it depends on how the waste is handled. Travis County Transportation and Natural Resources permits on-site sewage facilities, including septic systems and holding tanks, for unincorporated property that is not inside another jurisdiction, under Health and Safety Code Chapter 366 and 30 TAC Chapter 285. If we tie into an existing permitted system we need the owner’s sign-off and confirmation the system is licensed and not failing. If we run on a pumped holding arrangement instead, we service it on a schedule.
If a fire or flood callout comes in overnight, how fast can you be on site?
We dispatch around the clock, and speed comes down to where our nearest units are sitting that night. Because we keep inventory staged in this market rather than shipping everything in on order, an emergency in Travis County or the counties around it is usually a same-day or next-morning placement. Call and ask what is close right now. We will give you a straight answer rather than a maybe, and if the honest answer is mid-afternoon instead of dawn, we will say so.
Austin shower trailer resource library

Showers are one piece of it. Here is what else we bring to job sites and camps around Central Texas.
What to ask before you rent a shower trailer for a Travis County job site
Most bad shower rentals are not bad equipment. They are a site and a unit that were never matched up, and the mismatch shows up on day three when somebody is standing in a hot parking lot with a hose that will not reach. A short list of questions up front fixes almost all of it.
Start with where the water is coming from. Is there a hydrant or spigot you are allowed to use, how far is it, and who is paying for the meter if the city wants one? If the answer is nothing within 300 feet, the plan changes from a hose run to a haul. A haul has its own cadence. You need to build that cadence into the schedule. Austin Water has been in Conservation Stage restrictions since September 2025, so it is also worth confirming what your site is allowed to draw before you assume it.
When private shower units get tight on the Austin calendar
Availability in this market is seasonal, and it is not random. If you know which weeks the whole metro is competing for the same equipment, you can book around them and pay less attention to luck.
March is the first crunch. SXSW runs March 12 to 18 in 2026 and takes over downtown, while Rodeo Austin runs March 13 to 28 at the Travis County Expo Center and draws more than 250,000 visitors across its run. Load-in for both starts well before the public dates. Anything you want in the central city or the northeast quadrant that month should be reserved weeks ahead.
Site prep for setting a shower unit on Hill Country ground
West of Austin the ground stops cooperating. Limestone shelves, caliche two-tracks, cedar crowding the fence line, and gates built for a tractor in 1974. Setting a unit out here is mostly about what you do before the truck leaves the yard.
Pick the pad first. You want firm, reasonably level ground with a little crown so water runs away from the door. Caliche and compacted gravel are fine. Fresh fill is not, because it settles under load and then your door binds. Avoid the low spot, even the shallow one, because a Hill Country thunderstorm will find it.
What changes the cost of a crew shower rental in Central Texas
Nobody likes a quote that arrives as one number with no explanation. So here is what actually moves it, in roughly the order it matters, without putting a single price on the page.
Station count comes first, and it is driven by your peak rather than your roster. A 120 person crew finishing at the same minute needs more rooms than a 200 person operation running staggered shifts. That is why we ask for the shift pattern. Getting this right down a room or two is the single biggest lever you have, and guessing high costs you money while guessing low costs you goodwill with the crew.
